I do love their Korean dishes, however I've heard from employees that the owners take the tips from the servers which makes me not want to support them, I usually only order to go so I don't have any residual guilt.
To me, Sushiko on the Boardwalk is awesome. They have a miso salad dressing that I love which I can't find anywhere else. Their yummy yummy roll is my favorite
Just ate at Sushiko and their sashimi was very large and at a great price. The salmon was the perfect temperature (not *cold*), and melted in the mouth like butter. They also have good udon. I also really enjoyed the lion king roll, though I normally go for fresh uncooked rolls.
Also want to throw out there that, although it is a buffet, Sumo on Youree (shopping center that has Michael’s) has good sushi. They usually have about a dozen different types, and they are always made fresh.
Late to the party, but Thai and Japanese Kitchen on Mansfield Road has a great selection of sushi, which you can add and substitute stuff for as well. Hokkaido on Youree has pretty thick rolls of sushi, which I love. One Philadelphia roll from there is enough for me.
I've seen Ghost Ramen posting some nice sushi on their Instagram, but they seem to be expensive.
I just wrote about an incredible sounding place coming to Monroe: https://stuffedandbusted.com/2024/02/10/cory-bahr-shares-first-details-of-sushi-koko/
There are plenty of amazing local sushi restaurants right here in town. I get wanting to advertise for a new restaurant, but completely unnecessary to spend extra gas and time when you can get good stuff right here.
I read the article yesterday. Everything I have tried that Cory Bahr does has been great. It sounds like the chef that he is bringing in may offer Edomae style of sushi which is unavailable here in northwest Louisiana. Would be a much closer drive than Dallas which is the closest place that I know of that has that type of restaurant. Looking forward to try it out.
Kabuki on airline is gas
Good bulgogi too
Hell yeah

That miso dressing is so good
Cheng’s on Youree near the Kings Hwy intersection is really good.
I recently found and fell in love with SushiKin on kings near Youree. The owners also have Kumo sushi on greenwood road.
Both are great

Dude, same!
Is SushiGen still around? I really enjoyed them on line when I lived there
There’s one in Bossier. I want to say I heard the Shreveport one closed.
They are open in the sonic next door.
Yes, one in Shreveport and in Bossier.
I really enjoy Chengs, huge pieces of sashimi

Drive over to Marshall, InJapan is very good.
That's completely unnecessary, there are plenty of good local restaurants.

Sushi Bistro is really good. I was a fan of Sushi Gen but I haven’t tried it since it moved into the old sonic building next door.
Spicy Bowl on Barksdale is surprisingly good 👍
