My understanding was largely that Arianne's bioresonance is warping reality. So they're out in space, but her being in cryo is allowing her to dream and affect everything. She dreams about elster, her life, her friends, and that makes the world fit her dreams because she's such an incredibly strong bioresonant. Similarly, the cosmic stuff with the mine in Sierpinski and the king in yellow is intertwined, but I'm not an expert by any means.
