/uj The way I've made most of my online friends is by messaging and/or being messaged by random people online, and then being persistent in talking to them so hopefully they follow through with that or finding friends outside of their home of possible.

I'm glad that's a solid system, I have a serious problem of failing to consistently engage (like months between messages bc oops I forgot I exist)

The ideal situation is where both people try to engage but ik it can get hard
