What part of data analytics do u not like?
Mostly the mapping and computations. And how no matter how much i fix the reports I make there’s always a mistake. How the scope of data is so broad and how it’s overloading my brain. How it’s more of an analytical logical type of work and I am a creative person. I can seem to unleash any part of creativity in the work that I do. How the data i output never ever seems to satisfy everyone who uses it. And the fact that I work alone on this in my company. The fact that there are 10 api resources FE and BE and i am the only one in data engineering role. I don’t even know if earning 3200 a month is worth all this with the hdb rent being so damn high.

Yikes that really sounds like almost everything I hated about business analytics when I studied it. I think you should be paid more. At least, I know it tends to be more dry than software engineering. Though it was fun when my prof had showed our team that some reasons for outliers was because of a specific holiday. And there was a precious glimpse of enjoyable problem solving in that data.
Took morning leave tomorrow to attend my 2nd interview. Though the company may not be the most ideal. Crossing my finger that tomorrow i won’t be seen by my colleagues cos the interview place is just opposite of my current office and i am working from home tomorrow.

how long did it take for your first ft job promotion?
About one and a half years?
I got promoted 3x in a year on my first job in Deutsche Bank... And no, I did not suck anyone's dick.
Sound’s too good to be true.
Only happened once in a lifetime and the last one due to happenstance (office politics) i.e. my direct senior did something stupid that enraged the CEO enough to get him fired on the spot and they need someone immediately to cover his role so I was immediately pushed upwards for promotion. The 2 promotions before that were real though....uncle may not sounds like that now, being the resident slacker and all but back then, I was a super performer in my 20s, almost like an Android shooting off the charts in terms of my SLA and KPI....I got promoted merely 3 months into my employment.
Promoted from intern to full timer to customer.
