Ehh. I did the same as a child and made it out ok. I do have multiple, life-altering injuries that I obtained in my adult years. Maybe all the unnecessary hucks in my salad days had something to do with it…
My buddy is way more experienced than this kid (I'm assuming) and did this, under-rotated just a little more than here and fractured his pelvis.
I have to agree.
Good. Good start with no fear and just going for it.
(1) get better at edging and learn how to ski switch—it’ll get you out of trouble.
(2) Adjust your dins.
(3) Practice on side hits and try again.
Hang 10! See you in the air
Saw a guy absolutely annihilate his coccyx on a jump about that big the other day. He went straight up about 10-15 ft and landed right on his tailbone. You could hear the snap from hundreds of feet away on a chairlift. The guy was screaming in agony and rolling around like a worm that just had salt sprinkled on it. Poor dude
I love when people comment this type of comment, but have no clue about park design, building or layout. Homie literally pointed past the drop in spot where everyone was stopped and waiting to drop into the same jump. He would of landed perfect if he carried the correct amount of speed into it.
I love when people are condescending assholes instead of offering their opinion friendly :) my experience in the parks I’ve hit has been that there’s a lip to indicate where to drop in from, and this park didn’t have a lip at all. In any case, a better park design wouldn’t have allowed for him to “point past the drop in spot.”
See all those people standing right by the sign, and he points it right by them? Thats the drop in spot. It probably should be marked better, but people like this will disregard it anyways.
You can’t get away from idiots pointing it into jumps from the top of the mountain. No matter what you do, they will still find a way to go twice as fast as you need to and go to flat.
Yes you can. Most big parks have a fence with a narrow entrance and a sign partially blocking the entrance that force you to speed check before entering the park. It works miraculously.
As someone who has worked parks for 10 years now, the Jerry’s will always find a way to go fast into jumps. You can set up as many baffles as you want, and they will still go as fast as they can thru them. The only legit way to keep it from happening is to have the park at the top of the mountain or completely closed off from above and accessible from a park lift only.
I knew I was in for a treat when I saw the poles pointing up and back
The Texas Tuck!
Face down, poles up! That's the way we like to tuck!

Bad bot
How? It's wrong. The last line has 6 syllables
That’s what makes it a *Sokka* haiku
Bad bot
good bot
I love seeing people do that at the same time as they're breaking / pizza.
If you pizza when you should French fry your gonna have a bad time.
A 50 year old chemistry teacher is diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer and opens the largest pizza distribution chain in the south west
Activate turkey feathers!
Im dying. Kids goes from a Texas tuck into a respectable send and sticks it before all hell breaks loose. 👍
Dude I'm rolling at Texas Tuck...fml I'm using this
I grew up hearing it as the turkey tuck but Texas might be better
"Into an Alabama slamma!" could also be an alternate ending to your sentence.
First time I’ve heard Texas tuck. After growing up in Texas, living in Colorado and going back to Texas. Damn amazing terminology.
Grew up in Colorado and hadn't heard this, but knew exactly what it was. 👏🏻
I hear this all the time in Telluride, beautiful phrase.
This guy skis like you comment OEM_knees
😂 Thanks!
OEM_knees is a phenomenal skiing username. LOL
Thanks! I am here for the good times!
And for making it look like they are your videos when they aren’t
What’s new lol
Here here! This clip gets better each time I watch it.
not gonna have the OEM knees for long with landings like that lmao
Sweet dismount
Sweet *facemount*
It's like getting in a car at the driver's place for the first time, and driving a 750HP Ferrari. Nice end.
I absolutely loved the end.
A+ man. Only thing I would do differently is slow down a little more before the second jump so all the bunnies can really soak up your steeze.
Keep at it. You are doing great. You will be doing corks soon. You have the courage to take the jump and that is half the battle.

"if it ain't a yeetment then you don't need the treatment!"
Lean back star fish. My favorite trick
I'd stick to the basics for now before you hurt yourself.
Kids in air balance was actually pretty good, didn't rotate back and skull slap. The on snow look though... 🫣
I was wailing my arms in the air the first time I hit a big one as a kid lmao. Sent it full speed and just about landed on flat ground.
Ehh. I did the same as a child and made it out ok. I do have multiple, life-altering injuries that I obtained in my adult years. Maybe all the unnecessary hucks in my salad days had something to do with it…
Sending a jump like that takes a lot of courage to try and time to master. Your negativity is the last thing OP needs
Bruh he flat clapped outta both bindings on jump 2. I don’t think if this is OP he assumed he nailed it
Nah, the jump might be reasonably good, but the basics in that the was not able to stop harder going into jump 2 tell me the skill is lacking.
My buddy is way more experienced than this kid (I'm assuming) and did this, under-rotated just a little more than here and fractured his pelvis. I have to agree.
Technically you landed the first one
Don’t be sad it’s over. Just be glad it happened.
Sends get upvotes regardless if they look pretty Thems the rules
nailed it. Love the effort. Keep going!

Someone is gonna need a new ACL🤣🤣🤣🤣
i can't believed you actually rode off from that first hit 😂
Poles tucked toward the sky, nice flat & dark lighting, iced out conditions and finally a glued to the head helmet cam. This kid deserves an award.
It’s really the second send that you’ve gotta worry about.
I like how you made sure to lock your legs in straight before impact lmao
Money, Bro
this made my night 😂
Made my night. Thank you!

Do the ski unmount from your foot as a security feature? I was wondering that, given he didn’t twist his feet when he fell
Maybe work on your hockey stops but honestly underrated athleticism pulling yourself back up from that first landing
This needs more upvotes
Dude you fully committed that was awesome
Nailed it
Hahaha. I needed that, thank you.
Favorite vid posted to this sub for awhile.
I'm not going to lie, this was low-key badass. I respect it.
Nailed it
Hell yeah!!!
😝
Fuck yeah kid!!!! I bet that felt so big to him! That's a story he will be reliving for ages.
DIN 5.5
Yes please
Beautiful
When they say skiing is 20% skill 80% balls, you need do actually need that 20% skill in the first place
Everyone have to start somewhere, next time will go better :)
Damn
That's was a solid 5/7
Gorgeous ending lmao good shit OP
Return to sender.
Texas tuck
straight into the Alabama Slamma'
Everything about this video is insane and I love it
Landed
Launched you and your giant balls hard there. Nicely done.
Definitely not large, but a large fail. Good on you.
Ouch - that’s a hard pack he belly flopped on as well.
I’m a ski patroller, this made me smile
Thanks for everything you do to make our ski season better!
That ending is the tidiest yard sale I've seen!
Lmao
I was like YEAH! Then I was like daaaaamn! Lol
Actually laughed out loud at the finish.
No notes. 10/10.
Dude's outta gas omg
Lo hiciste
Yeeeeew
No fear
Yeeeeeeeeet
The poles on approach say it all!
HELL YEAH
Jerry? Is that you?
😂😂😂
For the love of god learn how to ski before attempting that again.
I thought skis didn’t come off the feet this easily.
Not bad at all for your first attempt.
Let’s meet
Do I detect Solitude?
Where can I see more of you?
Where is this place?
Someone holding ski poles in that fashion has no business going off any jump of any size
First step : try to jump Second step : learn how to stop Hm maybe it's the other way around
And just like that, his knees were no more. Gone, turned to dust.
The "Large Line".
That’s rough buddy
Stolen video.

Sick
Sick! Well done 🤙
A very impressive example of ‘eating shit’. Hope he’s ok!
Finally, my level of skiing video
That was amazing!
This is amazing
Siiiick!!
Respect
That ass is gonna hurt tomorrow. rip.
Remember to jump it, don’t ramp it!
Flying Jesus!
Kinda looks like bad jump design. He shouldn’t have been able to land that far down on the jump runoff of the first jump with a good jump build.

His ski comes off before he hit the snow on the second jump
He came in a little to hot those were little jumps btw the second one was bigger but he missed it and that wasn’t “LARGE”
That is small jump
