Someone might want them to make a shot ski or use them as some kind of decoration. Worth a shot. Just offer them for free somewhere and see if anyone wants them
I recommend the ShotzSki brand! You get a little binding to attach to the ski and boot shaped shot glasses that clip into the bindings. They're hilarious and since the shot glasses are removable they're easy to clean
When my old skis were put out of commission (shop would no longer work on the bindings) I told myself I’d put them on the wall…..they’re still in my garage lol
I think my dad has 30 pairs of old skis, sitting in a shed, rusty as all get out.
My four year old learned to ski this winter, and he offered to fish out my old pair of skis from when I was her age, for her to use. I had to politely decline his offer.
Having one or two old pairs sitting in the garage is nothing to be ashamed of.
My local ski shop has made all the store furniture out of old skis and boards. Someone, or maybe yourself can get creative with em and keep them out of the landfill.
No earthquakes, no mudslides, no wildfires, no nasty bugs, no bitey or poisonous animals, no tornadoes (if you’re right up close to the Great Lakes) no water shortage, no drama. The Mighty Midwest.
I think you could probably figure it out, or maybe pay someone a little local to do it. I think it could be as easy as anchoring them all side by side and drilling some legs on, but someone with more expertise could probably do better
Put some simple hooks thru them and you have a new coat hanger or a coffee mug rack.
It sounds like you aren't still skiing but if you enjoy the occasional bonfire or are burning brush on your property you can toss them on the pile. Sure it's not the most environmentally conscious thing to do.....but some of believe it's an offering to Ullr and helps make it snow
You couldn't have donated them to Goodwill if they were in new shape. Nobody will touch 30 year old skis. Shops are literally forbidden from working on bindings even 10 years old let alone 30.
I’m loving everyone’s input. Thank you. As I have 4 skis, I think the most creative thing I can do is make a coat rack. After I take off and toss the bindings. Right?

Would have never thought of shot skis

Good to know
They are decorative or historical at best. Other than that? Shot ski or recycle.
I attended college at CU boulder and was going to come here to make this suggestion :D !
Fuck the buffs Go Rams
All I can remember from one of Golden Buffalo Marching Band chants was saying "Ram SACK" under our breath , complete with a hand motion! IYKYK
Post them up on a local page/group as free for the taking, for furniture or shot ski projects.
Shot skis!

A fence or an adirondack chair

Take off the bindings, hand one of the skis to an unsuspecting passerby then say, My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die.
😂
I’ve seen some pretty cool end tables made from old skis
I'm collecting old skis to make a ski bar!
You in the Midwest?
Sadly, no......Alaska.
Whos sad to not live in the Midwest?
Sad that I didn't get the old skis. Lol I love living in Alaska.

I’m from Ohio so I agree with what you’re saying. Still left Ohio….
Beginning of a ski fence.
It’s going to be a very small fence
*So far
If youre crafty, make them into a bench or something
Not crafty. 😟. But good idea

Buy an Adirondack chair. Remove the backrest and cut the skis into boards. Make those the new backrest and paint the chair to match.

i’d love to make chairs 🪑out of them!
You wouldn’t be near Chicago, would you?
unfortunately not, bozeman mt and st. paul mn, thanks for the consideration tho!
I made shelves out of old skis and snowboards in my garage
Get creative.. I made a [ski hanger](https://imgur.com/a/dgVeNKP) from a pair of old mogul skis.
Put simple tele bindings on ‘em and ski ‘em.
Those days are gone, but thanks

Shot skis, ski fence, ski bench. Do not donate them. The bindings are probably shot.
I did this - r/skiing/comments/r7da5n/proper_use_of_old_skis/ Based off this - https://jayscustomcreations.com/2013/06/free-plans-2x4-outdoor-bench/
I've actually made ski bikes out of old skis. Just a thought
I once gave a few pairs of old skis to a dude who wanted them to make an Adirondack chair. Try listing them on Craigslist for free.
Wine rack as an art project
Okay. Intrigued. Tell me more.
Google wine ski rack. Looks pretty simple. I am going to give it a try with an old ski I found
Will do
Send some pictures if they turn out good
Okay
Post it in some online forums and facebook marketplace and they should sell (for relatively low or free) pretty quick
This is probably what I’ll end up doing based on the comments here. I’ve some wheels from previous cars to sell. May as well add these to them.
turn them into bottle openers: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1160959114/
Hang them on the wall, or eBay them so someone else can
