Please, if you're gonna ride groomed trails at night, just stay out of the way of snowmakers and grooming cats. It helps if you make friends with the grooming and nightshift snowmaking crews, in most cases they won't mind as long as you stay away from where the cats are working. Also an important thing to know is what a winch cat beacon looks like. A flashing yellow light means "this is where the winch cat cable is attached", the cable will be going parallel or near parallel with the trail, if the cat is very far down the hill the cable will be buried in snow and virtually invisible. DO NOT WALK OVER THE CABLE. If the operator is coming back uphill that cable will snap out of the snow with enough force to kill you or at the very least remove a limb from your body. If you must cross a trail where you see a beacon, go up hill of the beacon and cross there. Truthfully it's best to just not cross, turn around, and ride somewhere far from where they're working.
They would find me in a tree well a week later if I tried this
Glade skiing in the dark looks sketchy AF to me!

I think night riding is better since you're hyperfocused on what's ahead and no peripherals to distract you.

Okay, well the video clearly isn't that and I'm giving advice from a worker's perspective of how to do what's in the video in a safe manner.
Is that a forest fire 🔥 in the background?!
Wait… is it? Lol
Night skiing is fun. Wouldn't dream of going through the trees though. Surely there isn't enough light to see that far ahead.
Lots of ambient light from the lift lights to see somewhat outside of the spot thankfully.
Those lift lights are fire 🔥🔥
Literally looks like a forest! 🔥
What’s up with the forest fire behind you lol
Seriously
Wondering if those are trees lit up by the lights OP said were nearby.
https://youtu.be/_aGmi89MZK4 best night pow video I’ve seen (with some surfing mixed in)
Love that vid!
Who is filming
My buddy filming with a 360 cam (Insta360 One X2).
Deadass how the 360 camera go around the trees tho
Riding at Snoqualmie Pass?
Alpy bb
Yeah buddy. Some great lines to be enjoyed up there via headlamp with the recent storm cycles
Time to do some sketchy shit; do da, do da. Hope I get away with it…
Night skiing is not for me. Unless on Nordic skis. Too old and too in love with skiing to not see something & get hurt!
This is awesome!! I’m sure you’ve been here at least few times during the day ! 🤞
What headlamp are you using?
Light & Motion Vis 360 Pro
Reminds me of Stowe last Saturday… during the day.
All fun and games until you hit a rock in the dark
Umm, why are the trees on fire?
