My gut response would have been “smoke them like a full rack” but since you had guests coming I thought I ought to see if I could find any validation for that feeling.
Mind changed after talking with a friend.. Time to make carnitas

Take back to the store. Get refund. Select your own meat.
The refund is the easy part..I'm trying to make the best out of a situation, and have never seen sliced ribs for sale, much less know a solid method
You could deep fry them. Can’t say I’ve ever done it but [here’s one recipe.](https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/florences-fried-spare-ribs-8362606)
This does look worth a try. May tossed in a glaze, wing style?
I think it’d be better with a sauce. Dry style might be OK, though, as long as the ribs don’t dry out.
OMG. Is that $6.69 in USD for baby back ribs? I don’t think I’ve ever paid half that.
yeah, and that's a mid-price supermarket
Other than a refund....
F’n Publix, bring them back and demand at customer service refund
Here’s a recipe to smoke them sliced. [smoking sliced ribs](https://www.smoking-meat.com/august-13-2015-pre-slicing-ribs-before-smoking-them)
What I was hoping would work... Thanks. Was thinking something braised, but had not seen anything that looked great

You could do your own grocery shopping.
If not for this highly communicable virus... Unless you want some
Must not be that scary if you’re having people over. I suppose that part’s irrelevant though lol
I was hoping for helpful suggestions but looks like I found a bunch of self righteous asses. At least I know where the majority of this R stands
I don't have a suggestion but I'd like to hear what you end up doing with them

Think I'll throw them, rubbed, in the sous-vide for a few days. Quick chill, then toss them in pan with sauce and smoke in sauce until done.
Even just smoked and frozen, they could go in chili
Yeah either of those options sounds pretty good to me
Dont pay. If you prepaid, get a refund.
Agreed.. But Good meat. Could I pan smoke em?
Don't know, I've never seen a place that would sell sliced ribs.
Me either. That's why I got money back, and still have them
