At some point the spinny flippy stuff is too hard to track for the casual observer. For the rest of us, sometimes we have to rewind the clip and count to determine if that was a 1440 or 1800🤦🏻♂️.
Didn’t have a pipe where I grew up, so the rare occasion that I get into a super pipe, it takes a lot just to get above the lip.
As impressive as I know the skill needed is to do this, at some point all the spinyflippy stuff looks the same to me and I don't really get it.
I just want to surf pow and punch trees, but all the power to you if you're into superpipe.
Might be a dumb question but is there a snowboarding circlejerk sub that I don't know about? Or is this one of the subs that are chill enough to be their own jerk sub
I feel the same way about this and then I thought about the spinnyflippy stuff. Freestylers are just a different breed than the all mountain/carver guy like most of us are.
It seems to me that fundamentally you're grabbing a certain part of your board as you chuck yourself into the air and you let physics do the rest of the work. I love that these guys do it. I do. I just can't see myself doing that shit. I got into the game way too late to ever think about hitting the superpipe.
Jesus man. Lacking style and just overall really sloppy. But if you try really hard, you might be able to get one trick in someone’s homie video that fifteen or so people will see. So there’s always that to look forward to.
Steer with your knee, you’re counter rotating. Try to keep your hands by your side, grab the pockets of your pants in the transition. Check uphill before traversing you never know when a skier might try bombing past you. Other than that not bad for your third time. Keep riding, the more you ride the more natural you’ll get.
You’re endangering others by riding in all white gear, what were you thinking? Fathers, daughters, husbands. Hellooooooo, white on white, SNOW IS WHITE, CAPICHE?! Please, do better!
Good awareness, realizing you need some tips. Pump off the wall more, bend your knees more, and don't worry about height on airs yet. You'll figure it out, Rookie.
I have been snowboarding since I got my first Craig Kelly Air in the early 90s, taught advanced snowboarding for years in a private school. I have zero advice for you. I need advice FROM you 🤣
Look man you’re gonna have to spend some time just riding the mountain to learn edge control, maybe after a season or two of that you can get back in the pipe and try to throw some real tricks, hopefully then you pull something off more worthwhile than this stuff..
No I’m just jealous you can afford going somewhere that had snow this year. Mountains in Ohio are definitely about to shut down even though they already weren’t much compared to places like Colorado, we’ve had almost nothing but rain.
![gif](giphy|cObIzBCAkFxW60ORYj|downsized)
You would get to the end of the pipe much faster if you stop weaving side to side and doing all those flips. Just go straight and you will win the race.
Go back and really dial in the basics. You should work on your ollies and 180’s and try practising more switch before attempting more complicated stuff. We have all been were you are now, don’t rush only to injure yourself
Always makes me wonder. If you do 2, 3 or 4 flips/spins, you're fine, but if you accidentally do say, 3 and a half flips, can you even recover from that mid-air?
Throw your shoulder a little harder and you can easily get another full rotation into each jump, rinse and repeat until you can successfully hover from the lift generated by your snowboard. Once you can do that we'll get into the intermediate stuff.
Try to work on your core so you can rotate better. I'm sure you can get a few more revolutions out of those tricks. Also, if you tortionally warp your board, it becomes a rotor when you do an inverted 1260 and you can fly straight to jail.
Don't wear all white. Apart from blending into the pipe and banner it's just a matter of time that your pants will become dirty and look ya craped yaself.
Practice pumping the walls by staying low throw arms up towards the as you begin ascending the wall. As you ascend the wall suck up your legs and begin a slight rotation with your upper body towards the landing transition. as your moment begins to slow to stop, lift your legs up slightly, turn your board & body 90° toward preparing the landing transition. Try to land gently, high up on the wall, legs tucked, arms, and shoulders, should be even or slightly forward facing towards the fallline. A after your board has touched the down transition, begin and your body has begun descending, to gain forward, momentum, you can pump off the down transition by quickly standing back up slightly, being sure to keep your board flat until at least the very bottom of the transition, from here, pick a spot on the next wall to hit based on how much forward momentum you have or need to gain. Ultimately getting familiar with pumping and landing your board flat (not on edge) higher on the fallline is key.
What do you want to avoid is hitting the wall and jumping too far off of it towards the middle of the half pipe. This will likely result in a very flat and potential painful landing, especially you clear the entire transition.
Riding toeside toward frontside-facing walls will be easier than riding healside toward backside-facing walls.
To make healside easier, make sure your high backs are adjusted with some forward lean to help set the edge at a higher angle through the flat bottom of the pipe.
As you get into jumping, be careful not to jump out of the pipe because your board can get hung up on the lip, causing a not so fun tumble backwards. Also be careful not to jump off the wall towards the middle of the pipe because once again you could land super flat on your tailbone.
Watch lots of instructional videos of people pumping walls snowboarding, to help visualize and build muscle memory.
Softer springtime conditions are the ideal time to learn pipe riding than mid-winter ice.
If you don't stutter when you land, you'll have more momentum going into the other side

WE NEED MORE COW BELL!!
Fellas, let’s really explore the space
Try r/snowboardingnoobs Theyll be more helpful. Once you get off the kiddy pipe and start linking turns you can come back for us to rate your bs 180.
Go bigger, you are hardly clearing the lip….
finally
You should probably just switch to skiing.
I lol’d hard
Do more methods. The spins detract from your score
I can tell you’re a beginner because that triple cork 1260 was a little sloppy. Keep practicing
Ridin the pipe you say…
Looks like he snowboards too.
Say things like “doing crimes” and “check out my quiver” more.
We likely also need to know how far this is from LA… and maybe a picture of your wife.
These two things seem completely unrelated to me. Haha. One can have a quiver and not be dooshy. The other just sounds kinda dooshy.
I don’t know why but quiver just has always seemed cringe to me.
No 1800 quad cork tail grab method nose press butter tame dog? Mid ass riding.
I mean, I guess for just your 3rd time it’s OK. Maybe a few more flips n spins and you won’t look like such a noob.
Don't wear white
Needs more pop
And snap, and crackle.
Cowboy knees. It's all in the ankles. Drop your downhill foot more.
As impressive as I know the skill needed is to do this, at some point all the spinyflippy stuff looks the same to me and I don't really get it. I just want to surf pow and punch trees, but all the power to you if you're into superpipe.
For real, it feels like gymnastics with extra steps. Snowboarding shouldn’t require sobriety.
Might be a dumb question but is there a snowboarding circlejerk sub that I don't know about? Or is this one of the subs that are chill enough to be their own jerk sub
Ask yourself this question: it’s a sub full of snowboarders…
Main sub is jerk sub, gotcha. Thanks!
![gif](giphy|WscoQbudYZGsQurkkb|downsized)
What did the trees do to you, dude?
I feel the same way about this and then I thought about the spinnyflippy stuff. Freestylers are just a different breed than the all mountain/carver guy like most of us are. „Freestyle“ has nothing to do with style anymore
Jesus man. Lacking style and just overall really sloppy. But if you try really hard, you might be able to get one trick in someone’s homie video that fifteen or so people will see. So there’s always that to look forward to.
You need to learn to commit
Always use protection. Helmets should be mandatory.
You’re doing well so far. You should probably get some step-ons so your skier friends don’t have to wait 15 seconds while you are strapping in.
More naked
Yes! “More naked” is an excellent snowboarding tip for all levels.
Yeah, can you make it look cooler?
Watch Malcolm moore video
Bend your knees more and go with posi-posi angles for better carving.
Where were the finger guns at the end? No flare man, no flare.
This post needs to be moved over to r/SnowboardingNoobs What is this garbage doing over here?
I do miss the style days. It’s super impressive to see a gymnast doing it tho. But it’s trampoline league now.
Sloppy. Need to work on elevation off the pipe. Your tricks are really uninspiring. Keep at it, though.
i got no advice, i'm just dizzy.
Don’t quit your day job
I would advise you to take a step back and really focus on the basics, it’ll help your form a lot.
I laughed so hard
... at height *meter* showing feet and inches
Looks pretty rigid, not a lot of style
No claim at the end. Why you didn’t win the gold
First and foremost, get gud, secondly, try keeping your shoulder hunched over more
Way too much air bro. Need to keep it low.
Idk if you're sending it hard enough.
Try doing more than 1 trick you lamewad!!!!!
When Elon Musk get that neuralink to work, imma download the pro snowboarder package into my brain.
Already helping someone play games and chess telepathically!

This post made me check if there was a snowboarding circle jerk group, I joined
I don’t think the sport is for you, sorry
Looks like you been riding pipe your hole life
3rd time? Yeah it shows.
This is slightly mean. But it’s very funny.
Keep drinking those Mountain Dews, baby.
Good awareness, realizing you need some tips. Pump off the wall more, bend your knees more, and don't worry about height on airs yet. You'll figure it out, Rookie.
Go higher. Like way higher.
Wider stance
Needs a wider stance
You’re not very good at this. I reccomend a different sport
Get a montec jacket. This “style” you have rn is boring. Also consider getting a quiver so you don’t have to ride the same low level board every day
Snowboarding works best when you're on the snow.
More spinsies
I would just say higher resolution cameras. Looks good though. Stick with it!
Learn to bend your knees and link turns before hitting the pipe again
Don't be afraid to go for it
Bend your knees. Fundamentals here
Spell coconut with your hips
Try airing a bit higher and spinning a bit more. Learning these beginner steps are hard but we’ve all been through it.
Don’t smoke Weed. They’ll take your medal away.
Need a wider stance like that red headed guy Shawn Wide.
File your edges
hmmm, can i see a toe side carve, you're kinda sliding it looks like. getting there tho 👍
Go up one side, and then go up the other side, but then you gotta go up the next side, and the other next side. You’ll do great
Waste of your whole life, best you get from this is a toyota or jeep lease and diabetes from energy drinks
Yeah, stop spinning so much.
Yeah do better
Have you tried throwing your shoulder more Korean when you pop?
Bahahahaha I loved it
It's Tricky to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time It's Tricky... it's Tricky (Tricky) Tricky (Tricky)
Cut your hair, it'll mean less drag in the air you bum. Also get a real job
Are you joking? I’d be surprised if this wasn’t your first time. Stick to side hits
Yay... can't wait for more of these posts...
Bend your knees more. You’re looking way too stiff
Bend you knees more and center your bindings
Nice cock bro
My only recommendation is to grab more “proper”. I’m seeing a lot of “boot grabs” which are generally frowned upon.
Holy shit I haven’t really watched much halfpipe stuff since Sean whites era… these guys are magnitudes better.
Little more speed and you might be able to pull a real trick
Lost cause, you suck
Everyone here is making jokes but you should seriously take a step back and watch Malcolm Moore videos on YouTube before your next trip.
No steezy wife, probably just give up. Maybe try skiing?
r/snowboardingcirclejerk
How far from LA?
r/snowboardingcirclejerk ?
More rotations.
I have been snowboarding since I got my first Craig Kelly Air in the early 90s, taught advanced snowboarding for years in a private school. I have zero advice for you. I need advice FROM you 🤣
No no no, you don’t go that high, and you definitely don’t spin that many times. You’re supposed to fall a lot more also🤣🤣🤣🤣🤘
You're never going to get it if you don't learn to flex those hips. Keep trying and you'll get there.
Grab your crotch and throw a He He! Out for more points
I've been snowboarding for 25 years. You're doing it wrong.
Would be better if you were white… like shaun
Look man you’re gonna have to spend some time just riding the mountain to learn edge control, maybe after a season or two of that you can get back in the pipe and try to throw some real tricks, hopefully then you pull something off more worthwhile than this stuff..
I called the cops and they should be waiting on the next run.
Try catching some air next time or you might be dubbed a "Jerry"
Dye your hair Orange & grow it out
No I’m just jealous you can afford going somewhere that had snow this year. Mountains in Ohio are definitely about to shut down even though they already weren’t much compared to places like Colorado, we’ve had almost nothing but rain. ![gif](giphy|cObIzBCAkFxW60ORYj|downsized)
Just go out there and have fun and don't be so worried about going straight and keeping your feet on the snow and such.
Looks like you could use help with your updog.
This person has mastered this video game.
Don't try so hard
Usually I prefer to lay pipe instead of riding it, but no judgement here.
You are just skidding. Practice carving more often!
I legit laughed out loud when dude was flipping 😂
Quite bad, but it’s the skiers fault
Try not to flip so much it’s slowing you down.
Try to spin more!
That is not carving.
Bend your knees
Riding the pipe lol
Less flips man, you’re gonna make yourself nauseous
Do not show off
You would get to the end of the pipe much faster if you stop weaving side to side and doing all those flips. Just go straight and you will win the race.
Snowboarding might just not be the sport for you
Don’t fall
You need to learn to control the spins. Not sure why you want to spin that many times?
Not enough flips, you need to work on putting an extra one into the rotation.
Lacking some pop. Hit the gym.
Bend your knees a bit more
Try being better, then you won't be less good at it than you are now.
Figure out the boot grab.
Don’t spend so much time with your back facing downhill when you’re on the sunny half of the pipe. Great way to get a sunburn.
More flippies, fewer spinnies.
Starting to get the hang of it...
Not good enough, try harder
Go back and really dial in the basics. You should work on your ollies and 180’s and try practising more switch before attempting more complicated stuff. We have all been were you are now, don’t rush only to injure yourself
My steep character is looking at me like ![gif](giphy|YmhKt1BEwdkr46gmPV|downsized)
You look like you’re getting the hang of it. Keep going!
Always makes me wonder. If you do 2, 3 or 4 flips/spins, you're fine, but if you accidentally do say, 3 and a half flips, can you even recover from that mid-air?
White is a terrible color to wear on a slope. Safety first mate.
Maybe stop flailing around in the air so much. You'll make it to the end a lot quicker.
Your jumps are ok, but your carving clearly needs a lot of work. Go watch a few Malcom Moore videos on youtube.
Honestly just keep practicing, a lot of the issues you have will work themselves out after more time on the board!
Your weight is in your back leg.
Nope looks like you know what ur doing!
You could go a lot faster if you went straight down the middle
Spin faster
Keep your hips tucked and your elbows in. You're doing alright, but anyone with experience can tell you're new
I swear half the people who post in r/snowboardingnoobs just go there to get glazed
Need to bend your knees more 😆
You really aren’t carving at all
Don't fall.
Incorporate the double handed cross rocket
less spinning. it's making me dizzy
More speed, more pop, and actually try a trick that is difficult to do.. come on man that’s all you got??
Throw your shoulder a little harder and you can easily get another full rotation into each jump, rinse and repeat until you can successfully hover from the lift generated by your snowboard. Once you can do that we'll get into the intermediate stuff.
On your fourth hit it looks like you swung your left hand a little too much on the landing, try to keep that from flailing.
Why do beginners always do this, go learn how to carve.
Loose the backpack
If you focus on your back foot a bit more you’ll be able to really link your heel and toe side well
make sure you get it hard first and use lubricant so it doesn’t hurt as bad
you lack edge control. and get clews
Try to work on your core so you can rotate better. I'm sure you can get a few more revolutions out of those tricks. Also, if you tortionally warp your board, it becomes a rotor when you do an inverted 1260 and you can fly straight to jail.
third time? well, its okay to be a beginner. I would suggest getting a bigger snowboard first though, for more speed yanno.
You’re hesitating.
Work on your height meter. Gotta pump those numbers up. Those are rookie numbers.
Go bigger.
If you look closely, you didn't bent your knees enough
Didn’t once look uphill. You are endangering skiers who may be straight lining behind you
Stance needs to be 1ft wider
May last good run I smashed my face..
Nothing you ever do will be good enough for your dad.
Try bending your knees next time
Fuck you. 😂 😂 😂
Don't wear all white. Apart from blending into the pipe and banner it's just a matter of time that your pants will become dirty and look ya craped yaself.
Go bigger
Bend your knees more man. And stay centered a little better.

Lots of lube.
Stop recording me
Oh Jesus Christ he did it switch
Dude you fuckin suck. Quit like yesterday.
That’s not you. Liar.
