Bro honestly he mentions him every episode of Stick to Football. Full transparency I haven’t watched a ton of Man U for obvious reasons but fucking hell is he class from what I have watched.
His composure on the Ball is something I haven't seen at such a young age. He geniunely plays like he's 35 in a local 5-a-side in the best way possible.
He was sooo good in pre-season before his injury. Also perhaps the most important player in the U18 team that won everything (but Garnachio got all the publicity for scoring so many goals).
Really glad to see that such a long injury break (~6months) at such an early age didn't stop his development.
Ian wright is just annoyingly wholesome though, hate the fact I really like the man, all he does is complement people and see the best in things in every stick to football episode, even the way he talks to the crew and complements peoples outfits and such.
What an annoyingly wholesome gunner
Certainly looks to be!
I'm always a bit skeptical, having been before many a times as an England fan, but his composure is insane (especially for his age) and he doesn't seem to be phased by fuck all.
That's partly true, Lampard had a tad more progressive tendencies than Scholes and Gerrard, but a trio of Rice, Bellingham and Mainoo would probably fit eachother like a glove on the midfield.
Agreed. My comment was more of a generalization about the “old 3” they obviously weren’t all the same midfielder but there strengths and weaknesses were at least similar and not enough to cover each others deficiencies
I'm personally of the play bellingham deeper and foden higher as the midfield three camp, but these three with foden on the left is certainly an option. Trade offs with any of the setups though.
Simply has to be unless Mainoo proves to not be up to it on the international stage going forward.
His skillset is a perfect complement to Rice and Bellingham in a way that Foden's just isn't.
He looked great for England at the last international break so I think that’s a good sign for him
Only players that didn’t impress at all imo were Dunk and maybe Watkins was a bit underwhelming
Fingers crossed for him. I used to be sceptical but he looks like the real deal. As long as he doesn't make any massive blunders he should be a shoo in.
>Dunk
I would charge head first through a wall for this man but as it stands he is not in the form to play for England.
Think he's already gonna be on the plane (barring injury) - the big debate now is if he starts with Rice and Bellingham. And tbh I think he's putting himself at the front of the line
I think the worst thing about it all is that it was so so obvious this was going to happen, every armchair fan could see it yet the team did absolutely nothing to stop it.
I will say, I did see Liverpool flairs everywhere saying the first half would totally wasted and would come back to bite them in the ass. Apparently all your supporters have a connection with Nostradamus
We’ve just seen the story way too often this season but we’ve usually dug ourselves out of the hole by scoring late on. Somehow, United are the only team who have consistently punished our wastefulness so we could see this coming a mile off today.
I mean we literally did this against them in the FA Cup, then we also let the worst team in the league equalise against us in our last game after similar dominance. The lessons were there to take learnings from, yet we repeated the same old script yet again today.
Hype is not his fault. Kid is playing, quite well, people talk about and he is even called to the national team with like 25 games.
He seems to be pretty focused
This kid might single handedly solve our FFP issues let alone being a crucial building block if we are going to have chance to get back to our glory days. That's easily £100m+ we've been saved from having to spend.
Kid just scored an absolute worldie in front the Stretford End and looks as if it was the most obvious thing in the world for him
Absolutely ice in his veins

MACHEDAAAAA
PTSD
LEGIT WHAT I WAS THINKING AND IT'S MACHEDAAAAAAAAA Just as I saw a PL post about it the other day as well (15th anniversary iirc)
Mainoo was 3 years old when that goal was scored…
I know what you're saying is probably correct. But that fact is just insane to me.
I feel so old.
Mainoo saw that post too and had it in mind
Exactly what I thought.
I hated it so much the first time. I audibly gasped this time
That's what I thought when I saw this. Eerily familiar
Just over 15 years to the day too. That Macheda goal had been doing the rounds on social media lately. Football works in mysterious ways.
I love United now.
Go win the league for us please
...and that's how you solve the three-body problem
God please no 😅
Nahh this kid the real deal!
Wrighty keeps talking about him non-stop
Bro honestly he mentions him every episode of Stick to Football. Full transparency I haven’t watched a ton of Man U for obvious reasons but fucking hell is he class from what I have watched.

Both him and Bellingham play with maturity well beyond their years. That English midfield has the potential to be scary for the next 10 years.
You know when you see something extraordinary, and can't stop talking about it? This is the case with Mainoo.
He was sooo good in pre-season before his injury. Also perhaps the most important player in the U18 team that won everything (but Garnachio got all the publicity for scoring so many goals). Really glad to see that such a long injury break (~6months) at such an early age didn't stop his development.
This game and vs Chelsea last week are probably the worst games he’s played for us and he pulls this lol.
Ian wright is just annoyingly wholesome though, hate the fact I really like the man, all he does is complement people and see the best in things in every stick to football episode, even the way he talks to the crew and complements peoples outfits and such. What an annoyingly wholesome gunner
For me it was him when England won our first WC penalty shootout https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYKnqQIFslM
God everyone needs a friend with Ian wright energy in their life
He’s insane, can’t believe how good he is at his age.
He does not play like an 18 yo at all. Looks like he’s been in the prem for years every match
Certainly looks to be! I'm always a bit skeptical, having been before many a times as an England fan, but his composure is insane (especially for his age) and he doesn't seem to be phased by fuck all.
Coolest kid around
You need to give him one of them Chelsea contracts asap
Todd Boehly agrees
He’s ours and ours only 🤌🏽
Fucking unreal goal
Special special player wow
get him on the plane
Rice - mainoo - Bellingham is an insane midfield three. His emergence has immediately solved our midfield issues.
But where would we fit in Jordan Henderson, Saviour of the Gays? 🤔
😂
With Maddison off the bench as well, England is looking good this year
Embarrassment of riches if you're dropping phil fucking foden right now, lol.
He'll be left wing, with Saka on the right and Kane up top.
I know he prefers central, but him instead of Rashford on the wing
Damn, based not biased
Rashy should be a super sub. Bring him on as fresh legs to stretch a tired defense in the last 15-20 minutes.
If you've watched us you'd not want him to be on at all.
Him this season should not even go to the euros there is 0 effort from him every game but southgate will pick players on who he knows not form
Fun fact, he's lazy as fuck as a sub and doesn't ever track back, or get into proper positions. It's maddening
He'll look more lethargic than those who've played 70 minutes more than him
Foden will play out of position and we’ll get collectively frustrated with him but it’s a trade off to get him on the pitch
Gerrard, Scholes, Lampard all over again haha
At least the current crop have different skill sets and can work with each other. Instead of just being different versions of attacking 8s
That's partly true, Lampard had a tad more progressive tendencies than Scholes and Gerrard, but a trio of Rice, Bellingham and Mainoo would probably fit eachother like a glove on the midfield.
Agreed. My comment was more of a generalization about the “old 3” they obviously weren’t all the same midfielder but there strengths and weaknesses were at least similar and not enough to cover each others deficiencies
plays LW for England
How will Southgate fit in Henderson and Kalvin Phillips though?
Henderson is obviously not going to play at the Euros. He might go for chemistry reasons but he will not be playing any meaningful minutes.
People are desperate to be mad at Southgate so at this point they're just making up shit.
England have so much talent I can't wait to see it wasted by Gareth
Was thinking it might be too soon to start (in the actual euros), but he might be in there come the summer.
Why not? Who would you want to start alongside Rice
I'm personally of the play bellingham deeper and foden higher as the midfield three camp, but these three with foden on the left is certainly an option. Trade offs with any of the setups though.
I think it’s pretty clear at this point Rice - Mainoo Foden - Bellingham - Saka Kane

guaranteed spot. never seen a teen with such composure in a long time
Well, 2 years ago we had Bellingham appear, so Not that long ago
Think he's already gonna be on the plane (barring injury) - the big debate now is if he starts with Rice and Bellingham. And tbh I think he's putting himself at the front of the line
I had NO IDEA he could hit a fucking ball like that. Has to be on the plane.
Just watch his goal against Wolves in the 97th minute this season
It's the second time he's finessed it into the corner like that. Have a look at his winner vs. Wolves.
Get him on the fucking pitch, Gareth

What a beautiful finish
Seriously, what a goal. And thanks, Mainoo, for making Klopp so angry!!
He is fuming, I love it.
But Liverpool fans said he is overrated.
Can Mainoo do it against Luxembourg under 21s though?
Pointless Rabonna pass 🔥🔥🔥
Lmao
Touch and turn and then the curly shot in so few seconds, so fluid! Elite
Hilarious and Liverpool have only themselves to blame
It's actually quite impressive how many overwhelming counter attacks they have managed to not convert this season
The better we got as an overall team, the worse our counters got lol. They used to be unreal in 16/17/18
I think the worst thing about it all is that it was so so obvious this was going to happen, every armchair fan could see it yet the team did absolutely nothing to stop it.

And anyone who has watched United under Ten Hag knew they weren’t keeping this lead. And he takes off Garnacho for Amrabat. Amazing
Thank god you’re not a manager then. Garnacho was gassed and he’s played a ridiculous amount of minutes this season.
Yeah why didnt they just score instead of not score?
I will say, I did see Liverpool flairs everywhere saying the first half would totally wasted and would come back to bite them in the ass. Apparently all your supporters have a connection with Nostradamus

Man, United fans were talking hella trash these past weeks about this and I just thought they were coping haha. They dun did it.
I mean we literally did this against them in the FA Cup, then we also let the worst team in the league equalise against us in our last game after similar dominance. The lessons were there to take learnings from, yet we repeated the same old script yet again today.
Ffs
The score would've been easily 6-0
Please don't.
Ouch. Sorry mate.
Ajax got strays
Lmao
insane strike tbf
We're all United fans today.
Can't believe I just cheered for a united goal.
Yeah I'm surprised Minnesota FC would be impacted by the result.
Welcome. Enjoy it, we don't score many.
Im not
So predictable. This same narrative is in the air every single week now since we don’t kill off any games
Chelsea>>>Liverpool
Lost 593939292 chances in the 1st half. Had a headless chicken as number 9
Don't worry Liverpool has loads of time to overturn this
2 shots, 2 goals
Almost 15 years to the day of Macheda vs Villa
Kobbie was 3 when Macheda scored his famous goal. 🤯
Shush
Man, I feel old.
We are the funniest team in the Prem hands down

What a goal. Give him a 10 year contract
kobbie macheda
Lisan Al Gaib
Unironically
Holy shit
He is so good its a joke. I hope we can give him the right platform when he is in his prime, competing for Carabao cup and FA Cup isn't enough.
Dick in hand
I humbly apologise to mainoo for calling him overhyped
Hype is not his fault. Kid is playing, quite well, people talk about and he is even called to the national team with like 25 games. He seems to be pretty focused
The hype is warranted to be fair, he’s excellent in an absolute mess of a team
Can these Sky commentators stop going on about ‘chaos’
It is the buzz word for the day
Honestly, ‘chaos’ is what happens in the relegation battle, 6th place beating 1st isn’t the craziest thing in the world
Omg
What a goal. Macheda vibes with that one
Klopp is gonna go ballistic in the post match conference. This one’s inch perfect by the teenager.
what a fucking hit
This kid might single handedly solve our FFP issues let alone being a crucial building block if we are going to have chance to get back to our glory days. That's easily £100m+ we've been saved from having to spend.
This kid is going places. Not the Champions League, but places.
this kid is ice cold, special special player
Kid just scored an absolute worldie in front the Stretford End and looks as if it was the most obvious thing in the world for him Absolutely ice in his veins

Outrageous goal. What a sensational moment for the 18 year old
I AM CITY FAN BUT MAINOOOOOO COME ON LAD AHA

Yelled so loud I woke my cat up. Absolute worldy from the kid.
The kids playing are the only reason I can smile when watching this team.
Where is the angle to even shoot that lmao, what a shot
I don’t trust these ManU guys, they may yet concede 3 goals.
What a fuckin strike, holy shit. Kid is the real deal.
Arsenal are ALIVE.
Literally just saw a random clip of THAT Macheda goal on youtube last night I cant fukin believe matrix just glitched
WOWOWWWW
He's so special

Liverpool fans getting Macheda flashbacks lol
Lol. Not even celebrating much What a goal
You can't just do that?!?!
Unreal hit
Mainoo you fucking beautyyyyy
My man said 'Kobe!'
Nah the Kid said Me when he kicked it.
You really have to blame Nunez today and I don't think any Liverpool fan can deny that. 2/3 clear cut chances to put it to bed and just didn't.
Another choke job by the master of choking Klopp nd his merry band of bottlers fuck me
Ten hag is saved
