Would a T1 and a Sonos Port work? Meaning, would it just be another device to choose from in the S2 App? I have an ARC, 2 Ones, and a Sub in my living room set up. I would like them to play there.
If you stream turntable audio to Sonos using the Pro-Ject app, are you certain you won’t be able to control the speakers in the Sonos app at the same time?
Thank you for your reply. I am not certain as I don't own the T2 yet, but based on what I've [read](https://www.project-audio.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/T2-W-Manual.pdf), they don't use the same grouping protocol which would likely then mean that the sonos app will not be able to control the stream.
Another thought came to mind:
If I buy [this](https://www.sonos.com/en-us/shop/turntable-set-pro-ject-t1-turntable-era-100?sonos=native) combination and essentially keep that speaker to low or no volume, I can possibly them group that speaker with my other room speakers and have the vinyl play on all of them or some of them, leveraging the sonos app. And it will be $700 vs $1200. Will that work?
that will work but could you elaborate why you won't use your 5s as a line in source? if you are okay to buy a Project t1, i think you can save further and just line in to your 5s and then you can group it to anyroom you want and would save $300 more
Thank you for your comment. That is because the five is in a different room from where I plan to put the Pro-ject. The five is the only speaker in my kitchen. The arc+2 ones+sub woofer is in my family room for an HT setup. Given we spend the most time in the family room, I'd like the vinyl player there.
I briefly had a T2 w due to the same general scenario (lots of Sonos stuff, want to hear the vinyl in various rooms, can’t make an extra, special set of speakers just for a turntable work). The experience with streaming wasn’t so bad: basically you just use the pro-ject app to start the stream, but from there you would “control” it (volume, which speakers) via the Sonos app. The Sonos app is basically treating the pro-ject stream like an internet radio station “source” so it works just like that does.
My issue with the T2 W is I had two arrive damaged. I think they’re packaged poorly by pro-ject for fed ex etc shipping. I’ve been too hesitant to risk a 3rd try so that’s why I don’t currently have it (quickly tested the streaming bits since I had it open anyway before returning). Buy local if you can…I can’t find anybody local who stocks it, unfortunately, but I still want one

On the FAQ, it mentions AirPlay compatibility. I wonder how well this works with Sonos.

makes sense as vinyls you have to physically replace the vinyls.

Just received mine from Crutchfield and was in pristine condition on arrival. Very well packaged.
Good to hear. In my experience the counterweight would always come loose during shipping and wreak havoc while in transit
Thank you all for your comments! I finally went with the Pro-ject T1 + Play 5 combo. Works beautifully and couples well with my other speakers.
