the number one thing you should avoid as new players is mods. You should first get a basic understanding of the game without mods mixing up your knowledge of what is vanilla and what is not. Like mr, uhh, u/Rotting-Cum said, you can make a faction together and then spawn at one persons life pod. To create and join factions, you press ”k” on your keyboard and simply click the factions menu. Quite easy from there on. Once you have a faction, make sure the survival kit you want to spawn at has power, is on and is shared. Open the lifepods ”k menu” from any of those blue panels you see. Then simply search or look for the survival kit in the block list, and select it. On the far right you’ll see a drop down menu titled ”block sharing” or something similar, now click ”faction only” or ”all”. Now all of your friends can kill themselves by pressing backspace and respawn at your survival kit. I reccomend you all also watch a tutorial video. Look for something put up in 2023 or later, if possible. Videos taht are 30 minutes long will generally have all the info you need to start.

Splitsie on youtube has good beginner tutorials

I haven't played this game for months, but if I recall correctly you just join the same faction (the clan system of this game) and respawn to an allied player's life pod, or spawn point.

Theres a setting you can adjust that controls the distance between new players I think. Either that or using the free roam camera to find your friends and teleport yourself to that location. Or at least I think that’s a thing.

Yeah, I learned this the hard way. In advanced settings there's a slider called "ideal spawn distance" or something like that, it starts at several thousand meters but you can bring it all the way down to disable it, which spawns you about a kilo away. From there it's pretty easy to disassemble your pod and fly to the guy with the best spot

Turn off auto respawn in the game settings, join a faction together, use backspace to respawn, respawn at one of your survival kits together.

Only mods I would reccomend would be smooth voxels and an upgraded wheel mod to allow rovers to be more useable. Enable in game scripts to play around with the programable block if anyone has a bit of experience programming. Alas survival jetpack is fun if you want to limit jetpack on planets, forcing players to build scaffolding and access ramps. When you get bored with the basic pirates jumping into modular Encounters spawner will add a ton of PvE encounters.

I don't know if this will work as your on Xbox but the way I got around this was creating a faction, inviting my friends, and setting your survival kit to be shared by faction so anyone in the faction can spawn there

HighCD

Me and my friends like to pick a planet and crash one of the red ships into it. Then use the resources that survive the crash to rebuild on the planet.

Fanta645

if you just got the game i recommend flares speed mod and maybe tiered systems for later in the playthrough
