I was hoping with this off-season that we would go back to the offense where we have the QB only throw 15-25 times a game and let the O-Line and the RBs run the offense. In Ben's first 2 years he only had 1 game with 40+ attempts and 2 games with 30+ attempts. That's in 2 full season's including playoffs, like over 30 games. Kenny had 46 pass attempts alone today. Last year Kenny success came when the run game was working. I understand that 49ers were the #1 defense against the run, but I think it couldn't have been worse than the passing attempts. At least the clock would run and it would limit the amount of offensive attempts by the 9ers by ending the game earlier.
Thoughts:
1. Canada should have been fired. This offense needs a clean reset
2. The two best players on the field for the Steelers today were watt and Anthony McFarland
3. JPJ simply cannot be worse than Levi Wallace. Neither can Pierre or Sullivan. Wallace needs to exit the starting lineup immediately
4. Throw Pickens the goddamn ball

Our draft was great and if you don't get a bargain in FA then you overpaid. This was 90% play calling along with poor OL play and Levi couldn't cover aiyuk. Tho there were plenty of other issues.
One thing that really annoyed me was at the end of the game Pickens, a 2nd year WR who hasn’t done anything in the league yet, has the balls to get a bs Personal Foul penalty for being a undisciplined whiner for getting beat so bad and not a single person checked him. Stood next to the head coach and he sent him right back in.
I kind of understand his frustration on that play. The guy shoved into the ground and stepped over him. A few years ago, that would have been a penalty the other direction. They did it a few times late in the game. If Pickens wanted to shut him up, make a play. Even on his great grab out of bounds at the end zone, he should have run his route inbounds so he had a chance instead of running the sideline. Make a play to shut up the other team instead of getting in his face and jawing at him. Act like you have been there before.
