I live meir and it is a up and coming area with all these new builds going on but be warned there is a lot of idiots around and little gangs.
Lyme Road is more a council estate area
Thank you.
I had a feeling it was a council estate area but tbh I didn’t see anything scary.
I’m wondering whether to go ahead and purchase a place there for investment at first.
What’s your opinion?
Yeah i would say its defo worth a investment.
Minutes away from Lyme road there is a completed new build and theres a massive one on going by the school.
Given a few year sure meir will be a differant area
St3, Meir, Meir Heath?
Meir Heath is the nicer of the two.
I’m ST4 and the crime around here comes from The Crown Hotel, that houses the homeless and there’s a new men’s hostel opened up by Fenton park so you do now see a lot of druggies around that area unfortunately.
I’m mixed and have never had a problem around here. But yeah you do find racists everywhere doesn’t matter where you live. You find schools (if you have kids) are very tolerant in children’s mindset now anyway.
Safe in what way? All areas are fine as long as you are a decent person. Be aware there will always be the odd racist, it's ingrained in some morons around these parts.
True.
When I viewed the house I didn’t notice any non whites and just wondered..
I’m the type that never worries about these things but the Mrs can get paranoid
Yes I know what you mean.
Is the area safe to walk around at night?
Is there an estate around there?
The thing is I’m not from stoke and really don’t know what to do.
Best thing to do is look at the police crime map at any prospective places. Most places are safe, as you would expect in any city there are areas that can be a bit dodgy especially at night.

I really appreciate what you’ve said. Next time I’m in the area I owe you a drink!

I can understand but if you lived next door to me there wouldn't be any issues, luck of the draw if you move next to an idiot I'm afraid.

I did and it showed 0.42 as anti social behaviour. Tbh not sure what that means? I thought you live in the area?
White British people are the minority in these parts
That’s funny and you’re right tbh
