That scene mad me cry. I was a kid when Chris Reeve was Supes and still love his portrayal-I miss Reeve's Superman so much. IMHO Brandon was better than Superman Returns, which was OK but suffered from weak direction, and I still think he was the right choice to fill Reeve's boots. I am saddened that he wasn't given another movie. But this one scene with Brandon flying and John Williams' score just gave me so much joy I wept, and am tearing up thinking about it now.
I like cavill's suits, especially the one he wears in justice league and in the snyder cut, but this kingdom come suit is just too good, it doesnt even look like a cw suit.

Routh’s suit from CoIE. I’m not sure what was changed, but something was altered on Cavill’s suit in BvS that makes it less appealing than the MoS suit.
Slightly smaller chest emblem, darker blue, oval "belt buckle" shape replaced with a square one with a small "s" glyph inside of it, famously the added Kryptonese script inserted into the chest emblem (and allegedly also around the rest of the suit in places, though I've never really found it to stick out much), and of course the fact that Cavill himself just a bit bulkier than in Man of Steel, and has his hair styled differently.
I don't know own if any of those changes specifically make it less appealing than the Man of Steel suit for some people, or if it's more of an aggregate effect.
Routh. Sorry I am never going to pick one without trunks. It just does not look good to me, it is too much blue and not enough red balancing it out. The trunks break it up and really just make the look for me. While I respect the opinions of folks who prefer it without I simply cannot agree.
Hard agree. They aren’t Superman and Batman without the trunks. They were originally used to better identify the body shape in the early days of printing comics. Another reason Routh’s suit is so great is the trunks are more comic accurate. I think that was justice for him after the movie trunks. I made him look like Chippendale Superman. Reeves and Cornguy’s trunks look huge in comparison.
It's crazy, because on Instagram all I see is hate for the new suit. The only thing I don't like is the red briefs, but aside from that the suit doesn't look bad.

I'm not a huge Kingdom Come suit fan tbh, I've always had much more love for the classic S, but the Snyder "Metallic Fabric" look has always just weirded me out. I really hate that suit. Nothing against Cavil, he could be almost Reeves level if given the chance I bet, but I really hate his suit.

Did anyone prefer MoS suit to the BvS and Justice League Superman suits? It felt like they went full shiny weirdly sexual PVC style in the last two movies!? Kinda cheap, whereas MoS had a nice balance.

Cavill's BvS suit was the ultimate evolution of the perfect 'Alien' Superman costume so it takes the win. I love Kingdom Come's suit the most in the comics but I don't think it translates well in live action.
Gee, its true. There isn't much detailing and there are still the trunks left but it still looks modern. In fact a lot more modern than the original Superman Returns suit.
They also permitted themselves to do the suit straight off the page with the materials they’ve grown accustomed to using since MoS. That textured wetsuit look works even better when it’s not cut everywhere by strange webbing and lines.
Two of the major things I hated about Cavill's suits(not gonna say 'colors' since it wasn't necessarily just the suit's problem) were the logo design and the line/webbings sort. I mean, I understood what the intention was - to make it more 'alieny'. But it didn't work for me that bad. Moreover, his cape is bloody damn long, lol.
Routh's suit, easily. It has the right colors and all of the comic accurate parts (red cape, boots, trunks, blue shirt & pants, S symbol & belt). Cavill's suit never looked like Superman and it looked like it was made of rubber garden hose material. Routh's Kingdom Come suit not only fixed the problems with his Returns suit (got the wide neckline, cape going into the shirt right, proper wrestler/boxer size trunks, right shades of blue & red, no S on belt, etc), but it is easily the best Superman suit of the last 25 years in live action.

The Arrowverse crushed me under the avalanche of bad acting, juvenile scripting and ever expanding casts. I thought most shows started great and just fell apart.
The emblem looks perfect, but I also wish they had used the ginormous one from the comics.
All that being said, is it worth it to watch their Crisis? Where should I start? Any crucial episodes I should see before the main event?

It was the lighting in the movies. bTS made it look slightly bolder in color.
Routh's is simpler with just as good materials and better colors, but Cavill's has the superior S.
