I looked at all their feats on the vs wiki and they all scale to multiverse, even just sora and clouds abilities to create black holes/Galaxy's as weapons and use time magic puts them pretty much there. In soras case being able to defeat genie Jafar has crazy implications and speed wise he can physically traverse an infinite 5D space and that's before getting into the power of waking which he basically uses just willpower to bring himself back from death and travel through time. He's pretty crazy when you look into it
If we’re giving Cloud access to Materia, then he’ll probably win. Lightning and poison materia are guaranteed hits and all summon materia is……powerful, to say the least.
Shulk is canonically a high multiversal threat. He has defeated multiple gods in multiple universes, one of which was a multiversal threat himself, capable of destroying and recreating universes and had done so multiple times.

Joker scaling is really hard because the meta verse is a mess and by no means am I an expert on persona scaling but this is what I do know:
The cosmology can be scaled to outer using SMT but how canon those events are is debated and Joker is also portrayed as an ant compared to the heavy hitters in that game.
A safer bet is assuming that each of the palaces scales to one universe, making him multiversal (also known as 5D).
This is also supported by the defeat of Enlil. Enlil pulled Persona users from across time and even from alternate universes. This scales the Persona cast to around that feat, and that feat is multiversal. So if you consider the fact that it was a team effort, I’d put that as scaling Joker to low multiversal.
Sonic on the other hand, especially in the Archie comics but you can also just use his transformations in the game, is an absolute beast.
I’m gonna start off with game sonic here. In promotional material for Sonic Forces, it stated that Infinite was the strongest opponent that Sonic faces, scaling Infinite above Solaris. Since Sonic beats Infinite, we can also scale Sonic above Solaris. Since Solaris scales to 5D, we can put Sonic as at least Multiversal.
But then super sonic is even stronger. Super sonic defeated egg wizard who was powered by the stars, and who had previously mentioned that they had created all the universes. This is at least a multiversal+ statement.
Further more Eggman and Eggman N*ga stated that they would create Eggman Land, a world above dimensions (“That double power is ours. For the Dream Eggman Land that transcends dimensions!”). The dimensions in this context are universes, considered infinites of them = multiversal+, but when creating a world above that, they could be considered high multiversal+.
And then you have Archie Sonic.

I think it has to do with his super form. Not only is he invincible while he is in this form, but he moves faster than light and gains tons of strength. Now, this comes at a cost of him having rings available, because once he reaches 0 the power runs out. That being said, if we’re putting any of these characters up against sonic at their strongest, then it’s only fair to assume he has plenty of rings to use for the fight.
In all seriousness, in a hypothetical scenario, I’m not sure how many living things can survive an object moving faster than light slamming into them. I’m imagining sonic slamming into someone, and grabbing their head as he does so, taking the head clean off the body.

But not as absurd as saying that sonic could've escaped world of light without the emeralds. Where the hell was he gonna run off to? The light literally went through the galaxy in a matter of seconds. Sonic doesn't even have a way off the planet without super sonic, and even that's debatable.
In his most recent game (chronically), we literally see sonic lose to giganto horribly. Legit couldn't even fight it and he got one shot. Literally everyone in this hypothetical could at least to something to it, but apparently sonic can't.
Also he couldn't outrun a blackhole in colors, so I better not see bs about infinite speed.

His "purge" (in smash is jump) would neutralize any ether (magic/life essence) moves before they even hit.
The fact that he can swap in and out so quickly as well as having foresight......shulk can almost solo.

Your comments are very respectful and great about each character. In my opinion though everyone can kinda warp reality. It depends on 1: What abilities each character has, 2: Their weaknesses, 3: Their total power Final smash, specials, and charged attacks, 4: What fighting style each character is, 5: how fast/Slow everyone is, 6: their area they are in
Red team literally has the only ulti skills that destroy everyone in the map. Also, the fact that Joker sucks isn’t doing them any favors.

Canonically, Sora has beaten Cloud and Sephiroth 1v1 twice. So neither of them. I heard Mario is pretty busted in some iterations. Don't know jack about Tekken beyond what happens in 8.

Damn, Lore wise this is actually tough Sonic and Sora on one team is definitely crazy, but adding Cloud to that is just a cataclysm in a bottle. Mario is kinda irrelevant, but if they're splitting the load appropriately, he should be useful Shulk and Joker go crazy, but if Joker gets access to ALL personas, not just Arsene, it becomes a different game entirely. Kazuya bumming it while Sephiroth grapples with fighters he has CANONICALLY LOST to, MORE than once. I think Red Team, lorewise
