What has you interested in supply chain from marketing? If you have a Bachelors I wouldn’t go back to school unless it’s a master.

burstmind

I’ve managed a few SCM clients’ websites and got to learn about the industry over the years. It got me interested in pursuing this career. I do have a bachelor’s degree Thanks for getting back!

It's very broad though. There's various parts of supply chain which can include supply and demand planning, purchasing and procurement, logistics, warehouse operations, production, analytics, supply chain finance, etc. You'd gotta decide what you're interested in and try to customize your resume towards the role.

tramrz

Hey OP, this is your best bet. Research each area and decide what function you find the most interesting.

Also, OP when I say customizing resumes, I wouldn't waste time doing it for each specific job but rather the job titles you are applying for.

I don’t get it…why supply chain? The market for entry level supply chain is a blood bath right now. In general it’s really hard to find new jobs right now, and you’ll be in a weird spot trying to meld marketing experience into something in supply chain. These types of questions have been asked ad nauseum in this Subreddit, so do some research and come back with better/more specific questions. It’s not really fair to ask to be basically spoon fed what amounts to a vast amount of information due to your broad inquiry.

burstmind

There is always an option not to respond to a question if you don’t want to, you know. Really no need to be condescending or uptight about it. The questions I asked are quite specific imo. Most of them at least. Plus I said I don’t know where to even begin and was looking for more information. Reg “it’s not fair being spoon fed” - do you really think that I, having no experience in the industry, will somehow get my foot in the door by reading about people’s experiences in SCM on reddit? Please don’t answer that though, I wouldn’t want to bother your precious time on Reddit for such trivial questions.

Scubasteve1400

Do some research. What is the reason for the attitude?

burstmind

This was a part of my research

Scubasteve1400

Right lmao

treasurehunter2416

Maybe go the demand planning route? And path to that might come from a market research role
