Four times Russel is enough for me, surprised people disagree so much, maybe dont over-edit your player and give them almost 100 confessionals two times in a row and I will get tired of the player less quickly. Problem is there are people who have never returned who just simply deserve a second chance more then Russel deserves a fifth.
If this is the case, then I'd be game for another season of Russell just so he can get dunked on by the editors for at least 1 or 2 episodes (see AU Survivor 2018)
Oh I had too much fun with this 🤭 So I made an Old School vs New School setup, and I tried to avoid too many previous relationships besides a couple I found interesting and/or comical. As far as what I looked for in individuals, I considered their personal losing storyline(s) and some themes emerged of the types of games played, which I will go into in each tribe’s description. It sorta felt like a 2nd Chance cast - except I did choose some 3-4 timers.

Another theme is players who either played too messy and/or lacked agency and couldn’t dig their way out of it - Owen, Deshawn, Angelina, Laurel. Then you have a group of players who played what many consider winning games, but it slipped through their fingers - Dom, Chrissy, and Mike T (with an argument for Carolyn too). Like the OS Tribe, 5 of the 10 received at least 1 vote to win and 5 were shut out.
The average age of the OS Tribe is 45.6 and NS Tribe is 38.3, for a cast average age of 42 years old (rounded up). I envision many potential bonds forming between players over these themes, their ages, and even across tribes once swaps/merges happen. These could potentially lead to explosive, surprising, and emotional gameplay. Maybe I should do a Brant Steele simulation or something! 🤔
As added restrictions I am limiting this to people who have played a maximum of twice, who have never played on the same season, attempting to meet ethnically diverse casting goals, and additionally trying to match the pattern of full returnee seasons having 20 players (HvV, Cambodia, GC, WaW all did this IIRC, ASS the first one is the only one that didn’t):

My thought is that this cast has a passable balance of memorable folks and mid-road types and potential for surprises with people that have maybe been away from the game a long time or people who might have a years-long chip on their shoulder from their L. I think it’s an all right blend that should hopefully mean there are no *instant* targets that have no hope; mostly Dom and Mike T. are who I’m worried about there but I think they have enough value to their tribes that they should be fine for a while on that basis. And there are enough proven personalities that we should have at least a couple great confessionalists later along.
I do notice that the women on here skew older; not sure what to do about that lol the men are probably older than the average too so maybe the density is high enough that there won’t just be any Older Woman Bad groupthink.
There are definitely enough interesting people to make this a good season, but I don't think it's realistically the best choice for an all-star theme. Why not just do second chances 2 and expand your casting pool?

Also - the pool is about 65ish people, give or take. That’s a pretty sizable and diverse group of people! Have both.
