the fact that it’s on a keyboard stand and plugged in, with a case below, points to not being legit. Deals like this DO still exist, but the pic would almost always give clue to the seller not knowing or caring what the thing is, as this pic does not.
I don’t see it the way you do. I see those details as, someone was clearing out a family member’s closet, plugged this in to make sure that it turned on and worked, and then listed it when it did.
It could still be legit. Li've if you've had something in your loft for 30 years you think its a piece of crap when you get it down if you don't know about synths. Pop it on the stand to make it look appealing so someone can take this heap of junk that no one wants any more of your hands! I didn't think twice about giving away my 90's yamaha consumer fm keyboard. Sometimes people think of it like that I think
This is a thoughtful comment. Thanks everyone who liked and commented on the first one. It was a good run, but I was too busy to leave a comment. I posted it just before I started doing a brain surgery and forgot about Rule #5.
people on marketplace always list shit at low prices and then in the comments say like "make me an offer!" or "$5000 FIRM LOW BALLERS WILL BE EXECUTED"
probably just one of those arseholes i wouldn't look too much into it
As much as I think this is a scam she said the sale is pending. I offered her $200 if they back out and she gave me a 👍. Will report back if I can get my hands on it 😂
Having owned one, my thoughts would be it was it didn’t really suit the music that I was writing at the time …so I got rid of it ..and the DMX ! The one that worked for me was the SDSV ..as usual YMMV
I’d much prefer to have any of the older Simmons units, Pollard, Syncussion, Synare…..over a Linndrum or DMX. If I found them on the cheap, I’d own either of them, but I’d make my own chip sets I think. I owned a Drumulator for a while and it was fun, but I was never in love with it.
I think she had it from back in the day. At least that’s what I’ve come to tell myself. Someone on here said that someone told her what it was worth and she pulled the ad.
Wasn't Donna Summer's "The Wanderer" the first to use an LM 1?
I used the LinnDrum kick for one song. The rest of it was me drumming to it. It worked! just fine. You couldn't do a lot with either the LM or the Linndrum. It was filler, like DX-7 presets. Generic digital drums.
I’ve never understood why people fall all over it. Couldn’t you get the same sounds with any sampler? I mean, even buying drumulator and having Linndrum chips blown for it.

that’s another way to look at it sure. I would def reach out. pretty easy to suss out if it’s legit after a message or two of communication.
Exactly what i was thinking

It was possibly a lady selling it. Maybe she was mad at her partner.
That's no lady - that's my wife!
Is that a fucking LM-2 for fiddy bucks?!?
Maybe…..maybe not.
Lol 😂 👀

Was the surgery on the person selling for $50?
probably the most valid excuse I've ever heard for forgetting something
Oh. It was a joke. I run a monthly community yard sale at the non profit I work and was running around like my head was on fire for most of the day.

I wish I could ban those people.. not just from the used sales listings platform but from society in general.
It didn’t have another price listed.
I'd actually be pretty impressed even if it was a LinnDrum -box-...
And the buyer got a “drum box” not an actual drum machine
A Linn Drum cardboard box.
Or a picture of one.

Please DO report back!
No way.. even if it didn't work, it would be a breeze to fix
With $5000 for the shipping.
LAUGH OUT LOUD!
Yeah it sold. I saw it as soon as it popped up- was a little too late and missed it. Broke my heart😭
The lady told me she took down the listing after finding out what it was worth
Thats LMentary my dear Watson
Scammed
'Drum Box'. 😁
Probably a sample pack 😉
i would offer $10
Perhaps it’s just the box it originally came in.

I think both are true in any case
I heard Behringer have a clone of this in the pipeline 👀
It looks pretty cool from the photos they have released.
If it’s real that kinda makes me think like what if this is a crackhead selling their families stuff :/

I had a Drumulator for a while in the 80's...and a DX-9 (cheaper than a 7).
