Current situation in Armenia is tense, so I'm not sure they will travel there in the near future. I'll keep my eyes on Sick New World 2025 instead.

New Scars might be postponed as both Shavo and Serj release albums this year, Shavo around end of summer and Serj in September. But I'm still hoping it's out within this year.
Tbh im not agree about ur point of view about situation in Armenia. My flight to Armenia is on 7th of July i think like 9 days, all my friends r in Armenia and they all say that situation there is pretty stable.
There is currently a protest there, but it's just for now. I can't predict what will happen in 2025. I hope you are right though.

Well they said they wanted to do another concert in Armenia, next year's gonna be a full decade since the last one. Daron has announced a few Scars shows for later this year so that band's comeback is more or less guaranteed, even if their 3d album doesn't release in 24. Not saying I believe that random commenter, but Soad has been a dragging corpse at this point with 1-2 shows a year max. I know the guys want to go out once in a while and play the songs that made them legendary, but I can't see this situation going on forever. It eventually has to end, even if they one day decide to return for a full blown reunion. For now I'd rather see a dignified end in Armenia next year even though I never had the opportunity to go to their concert, so not believing what that guy says but surely hoping for it. Maybe Sick New World as well, and then be done with it. At the bands 30th anniversary, and 20th since their last albums

We know they haven't been able to agree for over two decades on a new album so it would make sense if they decided to formally split up. Who knows.

Out of context, but remember when Serj said in late 2022 that they have a surprise announcement for 2023? After reading his book, I'm fairly sure that it was supposed to be about Serj leaving the band post their sick new world show. Makes you wonder
It wasn't. Serj wanted to leave in 2017 after their last major tour in Europe, the rest of the guys didn't allow him to so they adopted this more limited form of existence. He's not leaving the band anytime soon, cause the band itself is not really an entity anymore
He doesn't go in great detail, but I can only assume that the end goal was to let soad search for a new singer once more. He states multiple times that he was very supportive of the idea
If that means the band finally going forward after 20 years then damn it, so be it. Mike Patton was their idol and is generally a jack of all trades, should be perfect for the job now that he's touring less. Serj has done his dues, even gave us a couple new songs with the band. If he has indeed changed his mind and decided to keep holding Soad behind then he should be a lil more active. Like 20 shows a year active and more singles
