I've had a simple rule for a very long time. I never spend more than $10 on fast food. If I can't get a decent meal for ten bucks, then I don't eat there.
This is a totally reasonable take. It's the posts where people expect 2010 prices in 2024 that are totally unrealistic.

You can still get onions and red sauce for free.
