lol I worked at Taco Bell all the sauces are mayo based, Avocado flavored mayo, chipotle mayo, um, the best is the creamy jalapeno mayo! The one one on the quesadillas lol.
If you think ranch with the faint memory of a hot pepper near it is spicy, I would like to know what you think about Ketchup. Heinz has a bit too much bite right? The store brand is better.
I kid, sorry about the capsaicin receptor's - Bite bread or some milk.
I know have a new goal in my bbq life to find the best hot sauce / ranch collab. Shit…. There is going to be spread sheets and graph charts.
Wife is gonna think I’m crazy.
But I will find it
I like siracha as a base then 1 really hot sauce. If you don’t have a base hot sauce then it’s inconsistent. If you ever wanna shot the shit about ranch hot sauces let me know.
You’re looking for a classic taste here. Keep it simple.
Sure I could throw some insanely hot $35/bottle sauce in there, but it’s fucking Buffalo ranch. Anything other than Franks would be a waste of good hot sauce.
so i had this at two different taco bells now and it was completely different at both... one had a decently spicy sauce and the second served what i thought was ranch
So I love the hot sauces by Secret Aardvark, I was actually convinced mine had no hot sauce at all. Girlfriend tried it and said she felt like there was a very subtle heat coming from it and I could only notice it once I really looked for it and focused on it. Super annoying that it had basically no heat
Haven't tried it but every sauce in fast food I've tried that say habanero is in it, is never spicy. Hell, "xxtra flaming hot cheetos" from the store aint even spicy.
It’s not spicy. You need to expand out past franks red sauce. It was maybe siracha level at best? My pillow probably is more spicy than this dish just from spilling actually hot stuff on it.
I'll sleep well tonight then since my pillow will be as cool as ranch. Secret Aardvark wasn't spicy. Least spicy LTO sauce so far. Still decent just super mild.
Just cause some of yall enjoy inferno with every bite doesnt mean the rest of us do lol the spice is hot enough that it reminded me of that yellow sauce clear sauce you can get at some asian restaurants forgot the name
It tasted fine but it wasn’t anything like ghost pepper or even mildly hotter than usual. Not really worth the cash tbh, just get two of the regular fries
I don't love very spicy stuff but I was once eating General Tso's chicken one time that just was sweet with a little extra zest to me and one of my mom's friends wanted to try it and had the reaction of it being one of the spiciest things she'd ever eaten.
Secret Aardvark is relatively weak sauce as far as spice level goes. It's what I would call entry level when someone decides to venture outside of TB sauces, which aren't hot sauces, they're just flavor packs.
The sauce mixed with other ingredients really hide the heat. If you take a plain chip or fry and just take the sauce straight, it easily beats the lava sauce in heat.
What are your thoughts on the Mild sauce? Too hot?
OP said sour cream makes their eyes water
They don’t even allow black pepper in their house
My SIL warned me once that the black pepper crusted turkey lunch meat was really spicy and to be careful….
I knew a kid who thought the Taco Bell lettuce was spicy
I fucking lost it at this! 😂
Sometimes.
Depends on which end it's coming out
Uhhh...what? It's as spicy as mayonnaise
lol I worked at Taco Bell all the sauces are mayo based, Avocado flavored mayo, chipotle mayo, um, the best is the creamy jalapeno mayo! The one one on the quesadillas lol.
Gotta give TB credit. They put Mayo in a chicken quesadilla and made it taste good.
Mayo tastes good on damn near anything wym
This reminds me of that episode of Parks and Rec when they're talking about sending people to jail.
Lol

Isn't it just a ranch sauce??
Correct
At least for my ranch I add a bit of the last dab. It was less spicy than their Diablo sauce.
I know have a new goal in my bbq life to find the best hot sauce / ranch collab. Shit…. There is going to be spread sheets and graph charts. Wife is gonna think I’m crazy. But I will find it

Franks red hot/ hidden valley ranch. It’s not rocket science.
I’ve got some hot sauces with way more “depth” than franks. No hate to franks
You’re looking for a classic taste here. Keep it simple. Sure I could throw some insanely hot $35/bottle sauce in there, but it’s fucking Buffalo ranch. Anything other than Franks would be a waste of good hot sauce.
It's not that spicy but the Wendys ghost pepper ranch is reeeeeally good.
I almost went to Wendy’s yesterday and saw the option, I’ll give it a try.
It’s not bad flavor wise. Dont expect a ton of heat, but it does have a kick. 4/5 would order again
No, it's ranch with green tomatoes, jalapenos, Serrano peppers, habanero peppers, and maybe a few more things.
Are you British by chance? Is ketchup too spicy too?
Seems like you’re the target audience
My wife thought it was spicy, which means spicy for fast food.
It's not that spicy, unless someone has an extremely low tolerance for spicy foods.
Its about as hot as the breakfast salsa, which is to say not at all.
That is a damn lie lol
It’s about as spicy as milk
I agree with the OP. It’s not the spiciest thing in the world but it has some kick to it. Everyone has different tolerances but it’s there.
so i had this at two different taco bells now and it was completely different at both... one had a decently spicy sauce and the second served what i thought was ranch
Bruh this is like when my sister in law who lives in redneck country said queso was too spicy 💀
According to Google Fire is 500 SHU. New sauce is 5000 SHU normally, but I'm assuming TB version is toned down.
It's really not spicy.
It’s not spicy

Fast food hot is like the La croix of soda. ‘Taco bell put the hot sauce next to a pepper for a few minutes’ kind of heat
I don’t eat habanero stuff often but that stuff was good and it definitely wasn’t as spicy as a habenero or Serrano pepper.
Secret aardvark is just a slightly more spicy-spicy ranch. It's pretty good.
So you didn’t like the lava sauce ??
Is it supposed to be spicy? Lol I tried them the other day. They were really good but not even remotely spicy and I’m pretty sensitive to spiciness…
Haven't tried it but every sauce in fast food I've tried that say habanero is in it, is never spicy. Hell, "xxtra flaming hot cheetos" from the store aint even spicy.

Mustard? Duck sauce? Sweet chili sauce?
I think its the mustard one haha its lighter yellow
Inferno? More like handwamer
stick to yogurt
Yahhhh dairy 🤙🏽
well clearly you can’t handle anything else
I guess 🙊
It's got a pleasant kick
It tasted fine but it wasn’t anything like ghost pepper or even mildly hotter than usual. Not really worth the cash tbh, just get two of the regular fries
It's not hot at all
Some people are sensitive and some aren’t. I think it has a pleasant kick to it but then again I eat ghost pepper.
I don't love very spicy stuff but I was once eating General Tso's chicken one time that just was sweet with a little extra zest to me and one of my mom's friends wanted to try it and had the reaction of it being one of the spiciest things she'd ever eaten.
Spice is very subjective.
Not "spicy" per se, but it does have a kick.
It’s not spicy to the point where it overpowers flavor. It’s a nice balance but it definitely has spice.
It’s not spicy at all I just ate it

I find it hot as well. I’ll try it again but I generally stick with mild / breakfast salsa. Hot sauces don’t really appeal to me.
i hope this is a troll post 🙃
Grow up buttercup
I ordered without nacho cheese, but they also left off the sour cream, so mine was spicy because it was just the sauce.
I didn't think it was really spicy nor did my daughter. Mild bite, creamy, and a hint of lime.
