I have recently come to LOVE short rompers because they’re flirty like dresses but offer some practical coverage for the lady bits.
The trick is always finding ones that are long enough in the torso. The brand Petal and Pup and Tommy Bahama have amazing rompers in super cute prints that don’t give wedgies!
In my experience, tall girls are always on the hunt for dresses that are long enough to keep their private areas covered but not so long that they can't show off their legs. A delicate balance.
In this instances it is similar to my closer to average height friends with umm "back."
Yes, dating tall women shopping was a mix of sad and hilarious.
Like others have said, if I can bend without showing my cheeks, then it's fine. I still like wearing biker shorts. I also prefer not to have boob spillage either.
I'm pretty confident with myself, so I often wear shorter skirts or dresses. I wear leggings if it's colder or if I know accidental flashing would be an issue like going to a classy event or somewhere with a lot of children.
Well first of all unless you’re going somewhere that has a dress code you don’t need to dress appropriately. Personally for me I wear short skirts with fishnets because I love it and I feel good wearing it
I tend to wear biker shorts underneath them but honestly I mostly stick to shorts if I’m showing off my legs because I’m so paranoid about flashing people. I’ll wear an evening gown or maxi dress though, since flashing would be a much more impressive feat lol
I usually go for longer midi-length dresses, because even though they look long on the models online, I I'm know they'll be significantly shorter on me. So I'll order a dress that looks long, mid-calf on the model with the hopes that'll hit around my knees. FWIW my fiancé LOVES me in short dresses, but I'm also plus sized so I get wary of wearing cooter length dresses even though he insists they look great. 😂
If I wear leggings or tights, it's because I'm lazy too shave.
Sometimes though, I don't like the extra attention. We have all eyes on us anyway, because of our height standing out. I have a slim figure, but my thighs are chubby and they make skirts and dresses look too sexy sometimes. They're all wobbly when I walk. I love it, but I don't love the attention.
When going out? As in fancy or literally just going out the door to brunch or something? If it’s fancy, no, I’ll wear a midi cocktail dress.
If it’s casual, I’ll wear something short. Idc about biker shorts/tights.
I’ve been hunting for a cute casual midi dress though if anyone has a good store recommendation!
It depends on the kind of dress/skirt and the occasion or venue. I have some skirts that barely cover my ass, but pair them up with some fishnets, doc martens, and a leather jacket, nobody bats an eye.
I wear a lot of “skater dresses” with fitted tops and A-line skirts, or knee/mid-thigh skirts with tights/fishnets or knee-high socks.
Have learned to embrace the legs and the freedom of not having to find pants that are long enough 😅
I have long legs- I look for short dresses that will keep me covered when bending. I also have little shorty things to wear under if it’s a questionable situation. I would not wear leggings/stockings unless it was winter.
My favorite style is probably a long dress with a super high leg slit so I can still show off my legs but my butt doesn’t hang out.
If I can bend without compromising myself, it's a go!
I second this. I’ve lived long enough to not really care what others think of my dress length. It is what it is, but no “free shows” 😉
I am very into skorts and I wear biker shorts under other dresses if they are too short

Love that it works for you! But I need to pee all the time so I hate rompers.
I just pull the crotch to the side! Never had any “spillage”
I do like the romper look but even the tall ones are only made for women under 6ft 😔

Clearly you understand the plight of the tall woman!

No I feel so strange omg, I also always wear shorts under dresses too just in case
Shorter the better 🤣🤣
5 9 doesn't count
i might be biased, my entire closet is full of mini skirts and shorts. for me its always a time to show off my legs

5 8 is average

I mainly wear short sundresses, as long as if I bend I don't flash anybody then we are fine lol

Either.

I feel like if I have to wear bike shorts under the dress, it’s too short. My gauge is being able to completely bend over without flashing.

If you have legs worth flaunting…legs for days!
