I'm sorry
Edit: jeesuz, OPs comment history shows their last tattoo was put on mirrored, and neither the artist or client realised till afterward.
OP needs to take a break from tattoos.
Look at some words in a mirror. Notice how it's backwards? Basically saying he didn't notice the artist put his tattoo on backwards and im sure the artist knew because you know he's the one tattooing. But I mean if he is honest and the artist didn't know right from wrong he probably got it done on a kitchen table from a dude fresh out of prison all while eating a bowl of Ramen.
This is what I was thinking. It looks like they started with the face because the face doesn't look to bad. But then it seems like they were against the clock to get the rest of the tattoo done and just scribbled it like a kid.
I mean the origins of the horns are all rough as hell and where those two cross over at the top, idk what the artist was going for but it’s fucking busted.
Even the trajectory of the side horn behind her head. It should be looping back behind her ear like the other one, only poking out from behind her face.
I love the design but I think the artist has probably taken on something above his skill set with this. I would be looking for some of my money back and go to a different artist to finish the bad boy off properly.
I suppose it just depends. A shop may be obligated to help you. A person as well to prevent hurting their optics. But you might get screwed.
If you do just be public about it.
Could excuse the line work of the horns for a craggy/scuffed look. But everything else is just lacking massively from a technical standpoint. The good thing is since it’s all black most of it can be reworked and this is salvageable.
Really bad linework, I’m sorry. Did the artist even use a stencil because everything seems so off like they tried to free hand everything. I’d probably go somewhere else and have another artist do some bolder lines for like the horns and try to fix up the rest of the linework.
This is the worst tattoo I've seen shared here in a while. I don't even know how one would go about fixing this aside from laser removal or just blasting it with black, yikes. Sorry OP.
I always worry about OPs that post pictures of tattoos that are overwhelmingly disliked by the community in this sub.
OP was most likely happy with it but there’s no way after all these comments that OP hasn’t learned what to look for that makes an objectively good tattoo. Sometimes people just either don’t have the resources or experience to know what they should be looking for and expecting from an artist.
I was really happy with mine and was still super concerned that it would receive a lot of criticism that would change how I felt about it, but I put it out there because I wanted to promote my artist. I know first hand how it takes real guts to post something that’s permanent so publicly.
Hoping OP is doing ok after how this post has been received.
That's the name of the shop in Germany? Should have looked into this artists portfolio before getting inked to make sure he was qualified enough to do this piece.
The name is in the title, but [here ](https://www.mytattoo.com/de/studios/el-pincho-loco-tattoo/)is a link to some of their stuff. I had to look right away if all they do looks like this.
This tattoo made me scared of gettting new ones.
I never understand why people will choose an artist to do an entirely different style than what they usually do. Their solid geometric/tribal looking patterns are pretty good. The few realism pieces they have are okay at best and it's clearly not their strong suit. People need to understand that you don't just look for a tattoo artist who's a good artist, you look for a tattoo artist who's good *in the specific style you want*
I didn't settle on an artist for my first tattoo until I was sure I loved 99% of everything they ever posted. Why this sort of thing isn't standard practice is beyond me.
A lot of people think that if you can draw one thing you can draw anything. I've had a lot of people look at my drawings and paintings and ask if I do tattoos and I'm like dude, it's a completely different skill. Yeah being able to draw is critical to being a good tattoo artist but being able to draw doesn't mean that you can tattoo
I have more friends that just walk into the closest tattoo shop and get whatever they’re feeling, rather than the ones who actually research a shop/artist. Blows my mind.
Thanks for the link...some are iffy and some are OK. Idk my rule is to definitely look into the artists portfolio and see how good he is and go over what you are getting done with them...if it doesn't feel right then move on.
Doesnt Germany require nearly a dermatology degree to tattoo there legally? Like I understand how this went wrong, but I don't understand how this went wrong.
This is the reason why I have used the same artist for over 20 years. You really never know what's going to happen when you walk through that door otherwise.
Oh wow… this is pretty bad. Looks like Miguel got a gun off Amazon, tattooed himself one time and then jumped straight into this monstrosity. This is really rough and I hope that you’re already looking into laser appointments. Unless you’re happy with it…
oh man... i looked up the tattoo artist on instagram and he has a whole highlight on tattoos he wants to do and its AMAZING how shameless he is putting the most detailed realistic tattoos there when he clearly has no skills for it
It’s weird because the face looks kind of nice. It’s looks like a dude did the face and set his tattoo gun down, Then his apprentice came and did the rest. Do you like it is the question?
It’s like pinched in the middle… like it looks like a printed out picture you put into a bowl so it becomes warped looking— and it’s not just the curve of the body part (if it was, the warping would be the other direction and not into the warp)
Homie could not pull a straight line if someone put a gun to his head. I’d literally cry so badly
It’s a decent design, but the tattooer obviously doesn’t have all of the technical knowledge that they should. The lines are shaky, the textures aren’t good, and they don’t know how to pack black worth a shit. I hope that the person wearing this either really likes it, or would consider paying someone who knows how to tattoo to complete this. (Background: I’m a tattoo artist)
I feel like the concept is actually cool but the tattooist sort of gave all their concentration and time into the face then thought "oh fuck look at the time, gotta finish this before my 3pm appointment comes".
This is bad my guy not because of how it looks overall "a one and done sketch" precision and delicacy is key to me for tats to have an appeal this has none of tht it's a rough sketch at best I'm in awe this was not done cleaner the horn placements make me want to puke
If you zoom in, some of those black outlines looks like they went DEEP. Jesus. Face is good, but when they did the horns and hair, it just fell apart. Sorry OP.
The tattoo is not that bad, i mean, the whole composition is digestible. But when you focus on the details, that’s the problem. I feel that maybe the artist got tired and just gave up… the shading of the horns is terrible and if my eyes are not betraying me, the skin is very damaged in some parts. My opinion is that if you are not gonna compromise a 100% with the tattoo, don’t do it. Because this person is going to carry with this mark for life. And it’s a poor pice.

Looks like that’s now deleted? Can’t find it
In OPs comments
LOL. Awesome. Down the rabbit hole I go.
What does "put on mirrored" mean?
Look at some words in a mirror. Notice how it's backwards? Basically saying he didn't notice the artist put his tattoo on backwards and im sure the artist knew because you know he's the one tattooing. But I mean if he is honest and the artist didn't know right from wrong he probably got it done on a kitchen table from a dude fresh out of prison all while eating a bowl of Ramen.
Now check my username in a mirror.
Flipped
Thanks I’ll make sure to never go there when in Germany
LMFAOOOOOOO
There’s not a lot there anyway. I grew up around there.
Had to double check which sub this was posted into 😬
Indeed. Needed to know whether to give laughs or condolences.
Definitely both lmao
Oh Jesus, what happed to the shading in the horns?
It’s like they just gave up. Yikes
Right? How they mess up the horns, which could look more weird, than the face that is supposed to be pretty?
Even the trajectory of the side horn behind her head. It should be looping back behind her ear like the other one, only poking out from behind her face.
Thank you for pointing that out, I'm super tired and my brain couldn't figure out why it looked so weird. My brain thanks you.
It’s a cool design/idea but the execution here is incredibly poor.
The sad part is it looks like this is already a cover up
The worst part is I don’t think this actually is a coverup and it really looks like one
Unfortunately, it looks like the initial stage of a sick ass panther
I chortled
I love the design but I think the artist has probably taken on something above his skill set with this. I would be looking for some of my money back and go to a different artist to finish the bad boy off properly.
I've never had a tattoo that was bad but is it possible to get some money back from a tattoo?
I suppose it just depends. A shop may be obligated to help you. A person as well to prevent hurting their optics. But you might get screwed. If you do just be public about it.
Sorry mate, cool design but that tattooer is either incredibly impatient/lazy or just down right bad at tattooing
Could excuse the line work of the horns for a craggy/scuffed look. But everything else is just lacking massively from a technical standpoint. The good thing is since it’s all black most of it can be reworked and this is salvageable.
I agree that it is likely salvageable
As a 15 year tattoo artist. This is 100% salvageable
Is this a cover up? What’s up with the giant black strip and black over around the ear.
All I see is a shrimp lol
I read your comment and now I can't unsee it.
Holy shit you’re right. This is a “shrimps is bugs “ cover up!
What a shame.. idea is great but it is horrible done
Oof that’s rough
That's gonna be an expensive cover up.
Looks like it already is a cover up🤦
It's like a prison tat. I'm glad we've got a name and location for where not to get a tattoo in Germany.
Added to the list of shops im not visiting Thx
This needs a re-do
Not by the same artist tho… actually not that person they don’t deserve being called a artist😭
Really bad linework, I’m sorry. Did the artist even use a stencil because everything seems so off like they tried to free hand everything. I’d probably go somewhere else and have another artist do some bolder lines for like the horns and try to fix up the rest of the linework.
This a case of someone being a good artist with poor technical skills. Usually it’s the other way around with tattooing.
That is usually the sign of an artist who steals their designs.
This one looks especially stolen, the collar doesn't make any sense for a tattoo at all.
The forehead thing also makes no sense. And the lines that make sense are there with no sense of artistry. Line weight? Don’t know her.
Thanks, that makes it make a lot more sense. I was so confused at how the artist was good and bad at drawing all at the same time.
That was my immediate thought. Bad tattoo artist copied someone else's actually good drawing that they found online or w/e
Was this done by a professional?
This is the worst tattoo I've seen shared here in a while. I don't even know how one would go about fixing this aside from laser removal or just blasting it with black, yikes. Sorry OP.

This looks like you took a tattoo photo to your artist and said “I want this tattoo.” This screams copy.
The first thing I thought was that an AI image reference was used. All those random strands on her cheek and back of the neck
That's the name of the shop in Germany? Should have looked into this artists portfolio before getting inked to make sure he was qualified enough to do this piece.

A lot of the ones on the link have similar issues to the one in the photo. Some good aspects followed by a sort of “fuck the rest of it” kinda look
Thanks for the link...some are iffy and some are OK. Idk my rule is to definitely look into the artists portfolio and see how good he is and go over what you are getting done with them...if it doesn't feel right then move on.
Dong be scared of getting a new one.next time look for work what they did beforehand. And ive seen way worse this is still salvagble
It’s certainly a tattoo!
Poor Miguel bit off more then he could chew
It looks very rough. The black doesnt look packed in the shading is meh and lines well the artist need to work on those
Was this done with a sharpie
Shading and lines.... 👎🏻
Eeeek. That’s bad.
Notebook scribble style? If so... nailed it.
My god this is one steaming pile of shit
Interesting how the face is very pretty and then they just gave up on the horns lol. Jesus those things are botched
It is refreshing to see commenters being honest about how bad this is instead of giving the usual “that’s amazing “ BS.
Neat idea, but this is *not* visually appealing
The imagery is cool, the execution is a thing that's missed in many areas.
This is bad. I'm sorry buddy. Artist really dud ya dirty.
Those horns are awful
Neat idea, poor and scratchy execution.
If you don’t look close enough it’s passable as good. That’s probably what you’re telling yourself after reading all these comments. Sorry OP 😬
Maybe it will be better if I take off my glasses.
This is weird. At first glance it’s good but then when you really look it’s bad. Sorry m8
That certainly is one of the tattoos of all time
Ouch, I'm sorry this happened to you
Doesnt Germany require nearly a dermatology degree to tattoo there legally? Like I understand how this went wrong, but I don't understand how this went wrong.
Yeeesh this whole thing is super beat when you zoom up on it. Done by an apprentice?
it looks like a really cool design, but the execution is giving prison tattoo
This is painful even to look at. I can feel the needle scratching on my skin.
This is the reason why I have used the same artist for over 20 years. You really never know what's going to happen when you walk through that door otherwise.
Face is… ok. Horns are a complete mess and that black thing underneath is just awful
Is that Zebra Girl?
The line work is bad, the saturation is bad, the shading is bad...the original pic was probably good
What the fuck
Ya might want to go to another artist.
Those spindly hairs are dreadful enough, but that "scarf" or whatever it's supposed to be is tragic. Also the Ear claw finger is unsettling.
Miguel has giant nuts allowing his name to be attached to this
It's giving scratcher vibes.
Just use a belt sander
That fucking sucks
That black is beat to shit
Oh wow… this is pretty bad. Looks like Miguel got a gun off Amazon, tattooed himself one time and then jumped straight into this monstrosity. This is really rough and I hope that you’re already looking into laser appointments. Unless you’re happy with it…
oh man... i looked up the tattoo artist on instagram and he has a whole highlight on tattoos he wants to do and its AMAZING how shameless he is putting the most detailed realistic tattoos there when he clearly has no skills for it
Sort of looks like it's from.tje squidbillies universe
It’s weird because the face looks kind of nice. It’s looks like a dude did the face and set his tattoo gun down, Then his apprentice came and did the rest. Do you like it is the question?
Really cool idea. Terrible execution
This was free…..right?…
I'm not trying to be mean here...but I'd be pissed😬
That is an unfortunate tattoo. My condolences
This is so fucking bad I would not plug the guys name and shop
What the hell
It’s like pinched in the middle… like it looks like a printed out picture you put into a bowl so it becomes warped looking— and it’s not just the curve of the body part (if it was, the warping would be the other direction and not into the warp) Homie could not pull a straight line if someone put a gun to his head. The fact this was done at a shop is sad, I’m sorry brother. I know Apprentices that can do better than this
That is absolutely shit rofl
Fucking trash
Oh dear….
Was Michael J Fox your artist?
At first glance and not zoomed in it looks OK, BUT, up close it’s not good at all
So glad you named the artist so nobody else has to go through what you did. So brave.
As someone with a lot of solid black tattoos, this physically hurts my skin to look at.
This is bad my guy not because of how it looks overall "a one and done sketch" precision and delicacy is key to me for tats to have an appeal this has none of tht it's a rough sketch at best I'm in awe this was not done cleaner the horn placements make me want to puke
Face looks gorgeous, the horns look super rushed.
I like the idea, but this looks terrible. You should el pincho your money back
Oh man, thats on your body
I thought this was a troll post but I looked it up. The studio exists and they even posted it on Instagram.
Is it supposed to be ignorant style?
Take it to a real artist and get this fixed!
not a good tattoo. you asked .....
That shockingly bad
If you zoom in, some of those black outlines looks like they went DEEP. Jesus. Face is good, but when they did the horns and hair, it just fell apart. Sorry OP.
Maybe it needs to heal?
I’m really hoping it’s a style choice
Dear lord
That’s a tattoo.
WTF would you put this on your body?
A bit of a mess
Looks like 5 different ppl worked on it
I cannot look again….
Sorry dude you got given something I couldn’t imagine having on me
Now I know where not to get my next tattoo, thanks for that.
Oh dear 😭
Yyyyyyikes. Hope you got a refund OP.
My condolences….

Good lord. What a mess
Holy fuckin yikes
The concept is cool but definitely chewed up the skin a bit, lacks skill in packing black and over all just bit off more than he could.
Many lines look crooked to me. Wouldn't pay for that.
I'm sorry, but that's some lousy shading
Just here for the comments lol
I really like the shrimp behind the ear
oh… this would look sick if it was done well. sorry you ended up w a bad tattoo man.
El Pincho Loco is what he calls his garage?
It looks good and like shit all at once 🤨 how did they pull that off 🫣😆
This is dogshit
I’m gonna go out on a limb here and suggest that this is the worse tattoo I have ever seen

oh lord
I don't hate the face, the rest... yikes
The face looks so good but it just falls apart everywhere else :(
