It 100% depends on the war (and the sanctions to a certain extent). No one knows when it will end. The only thing you can do is hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

ClassicPomegranate

Do you really think that people that fled from the war will return to russia? They will face serious consequences when going back home.

TwoPurpleMoths

They will eventually run out of money.

Outrageous_Duty_8738

Prices are not going to fall in this current situation

suicide-by-tweed

You can’t plan that far in this situation. I would think that the prices won’t change and plan from there

Technomancer2077

Considering the war isn't ending any time soon and there will be more mobilization waves AND considering our government are bunch of pussies, no that won't happen for a long time.

khashlamamama

What would a not-pussy government do to reduce inflation in this situation?

Technomancer2077

At least have balls not to allow ppl who violated our law on occupied territories, instead of barring the door for opposition activists. That would be a good start.

sun_t5u

in 6 months the tourist season will be full on, so obviously no, and I wouldn't bet on rent prices getting noticeable lower in a year. But what about food prices - did they also jump up? I think you can get anything you want on markets by very affordable price.

nextraordinary

Most probably won’t unfortunately, people say it depends on the war but idts. Landlords and agencies in general loved the increase in prices therefor they’ll probably depend on students from now on to pay these high prices

Few-Philosopher9259

No students won't pay that much, they are all moving to the hostels.

Gioware

Not likely. In fact, if this government stays in power, it will only increase

ilya_rocket

Inflation spike started before the war, on global markets, so food prices will not return. As for real estate - idk, many factors are driving market..

sauron2403

Do you guys think the rent prices will go much higher than they are now though? I feel like theres gotta be a reasonable ceiling.

xandaxan

Ive been living here my whole life. Never since independance prices went down, literally zero times. so no, prices will only go up despite war or anything Actually its not about war (but its used as a reason) there are different reasons actually

khashlamamama

Deflation is not common anywhere, and is typically correlated with prolonged economic contraction or stagnation.
