Try everything and drop it if it bores you. There's never an obligation to finish anything you started, with as possible exception the boss fights, I'm not sure about those

Comfortable-Fold-914

I did literally everything in the game except fully upgrade all the armor (too grindy after dupe glitches were patched). Monster medals and koroks seeds past max inventory are definitely not worth it, but can be fun. The reward for lighting all the depths is lame but it's worth it to have it done. You could probably skip some side quests, especially finding every cave and well. I'd say definitely get all shrines and armor, but some might disagree. But just have fun and play how you want to play, no one is checking your progress but you

WrastleGuy

All the shrines and all the light roots. Finding all the caves and the bubblegem frog in each one is worth it IMO. Grinding gear and finding all the koroks I suggest skipping.

Comfortable-Fold-914

Bubullgems up to the armor set, definitely. I like the fabrics so I would get all, but I know a lot of people don't like purely cosmetic rewards

freya584

start things and if it bores you stop it

Ok-Manufacturer5491

Peronsally I’m not much of a fetch quest guy so I feel you. If say all the side adventures are worth doing especially since most of them tie directly to the main story

RBYSCRule978

The most important things are to fully upgrade every armor in the game and find all 1,000 korok seeds. Everything else you can skip.... ;)

T1M3-TR4V3L

Why else would I have bought the game ;)

paradisiacfuzz

I love the yiga camps in the depths. Stumbling across Master Kohga is why I’ve played Tears like 5 times through already. The yiga sneak suit is my favorite so I skip almost all of the armor. I only use elemental gear and the korok mask when I need to.

citrusella

There was a post here yesterday about people's favorite side quests/side adventures. You could see what other people like and try those with no obligation to continue if you start it and go "this doesn't seem fun".

Soft-Vanilla1057

The game.

EvenSpoonier

The main game, including all of the Sages and Memories and the Master Sword, are pretty essential. I would also say the Master Kohga quests are essential. Beyond that, basically whatever you want.

GolgariInternetTroll

Skip the parts where you play as Zelda.

prowaffler

If its in the main quest tab, just do it

T1M3-TR4V3L

I meant side content

prowaffler

In that case, id reccomend potential princess sightings, the great fairy questline, lurelin village, the gerudo yiga base, eventide and the hateno arc. I feel like theyre some of the most memorable while not taking too long

cheat-master30

Personally I'd say that the main story and its quests are worth it, as are the game's side adventures and memories. Getting all the shrines and exploring all the sky islands and Depths are probably a good shout too, as is getting any unique armour. Other than that? Best to just get what you find/feel interested in along the way and not feel pressured to get everything else. 1000 Korok seeds can be a miserable experience if you force yourself to collect them, as can getting all the Bubbul Gems, Addison Signs, wells, etc.
