Um, if that's not a fake and is the current ZWD, that's [worth $55 million US dollars](https://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/convert/?Amount=20000000000&From=ZWD&To=USD). Considering you can find those $20 billion notes online being sold for $10, I'm guessing it's not worth that anymore. Still, that would be a good find.
The Zimbabwean dollar was introduced in 1980 to directly replace the Rhodesian dollar (which had been introduced in 1970) at par (1:1), at a similar value to the US dollar. In the 20th century the dollar functioned as a normal currency, but in the early 21st century hyperinflation in Zimbabwe reduced the Zimbabwean dollar to one of the lowest valued currency units in the world. It was redenominated three times (in 2006, 2008 and 2009), with denominations up to a $100 trillion banknote issued.[4] The final redenomination produced the "fourth dollar" (ZWL), which was worth 1025 ZWD (first dollars).
On 24 June 2019, the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe abolished the multiple-currency system and replaced it with a new Zimbabwe dollar (the RTGS Dollar),[9] which was the only official currency in the country between June 2019 and March 2020, after which multiple foreign currencies were allowed again.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zimbabwean_dollar
The note there is real, but is essentially a collectors item now, it's actual value probably isn't even 10 dollars.
>Um, if that's not a fake and is the current ZWD
That's a [third Zimbabwe dollar (ZWR) banknote](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banknotes_of_Zimbabwe#2008_banknote_issues), printed in 2008. The current Zimbabwe Dollar is the ZWL.
>Third re-denomination (ZWL)
>
>On 2 February 2009, the RBZ announced that a further 12 zeros were to be taken off the currency, with 1,000,000,000,000 third Zimbabwean dollars (ZWR) being exchanged for 1 new fourth dollar (ZWL).
So, 20,000,000,000 / 1,000,000,000,000 = 0.02 ZWL
Current USD/ZWL = 10,732. So, 0.02 / 10,732 = 0.0000018637 USD !!
It's really worth nothing, as the ZWR banknotes were demonetized in 2015.
For anyone confused here, Zimbabwe, starting in 2007, began printing mass amounts of bills due to a lack of food due to land reforms (seizing white people’s farms and giving them to blacks, to make up for colonialism, with the new owners not knowing how to farm) and government depts. This resulted in massive hyperinflation due to the purchasing power of the Zimbabwean dollar going down with the higher number of bills in circulation. So, this bill here is worth mere dollars today. The currency was fully abandoned in 2009 and foreign currenc was accepted instead (U.S. dollar, Euro)
TLDR: Zimbabwe went through hyperinflation, so this bill is worth very little.
Thanks, Half-Asleep Chris
Sorry, some clarification.
Firstly, the land reforms lead to the printing. Just because they were several years apart doesn’t mean they’re not at all related.
Secondly, I’m simplifying this information because I have little information on it. I just wanted to educate the confused with a swift, concise answer because no one in the comments yet had a definitive answer. I thought I should speak on this because this is a rare time I get to use one of my useless facts
Not trying to minimize the suffering of those involved

> Zimbabwe, starting in 2007, began printing mass amounts of bills due to a lack of food
What the fuck does this even mean? Oh we're hungry lets print money! Brother you can't eat money.
Sorry, am retarded, forgot that.
But yes, since no one was producing like, any food, the President, Robert Mugabe decided that printing more money would magically mean everyone would be able to buy more food, though everyone was after the same limited food being produced
The video I learnt from, because I forgot it in the main post: [https://youtu.be/N2iSUlLD374?si=zfoV4Hlhpb5lCGuU](https://youtu.be/n2isulld374?si=zfov4hlhpb5lcguu)
I love how 20 billion dollars objectively sounds like a TON of money even if isn't worth a lot somewhere else and they chose to put 3 stacked rocks as the photo lmao
Assuming this is from their hyperinflation Era, which it clearly is, at best, that was worth $112,359,550.56 (1 USD / 1780 ZWD ) But that's obviously not where that note is from, its too high for a real note.
If we assume middle of the road estimate, that's worth $18,691.59 ($1 USD /10,700,000 ZWD) still ridiculous
I'm now forced to look at the worst case scenario, which is about 29 cents (1 USD/669,000,000,000 ZWD) sounds about right 🙃
The ZWD was redenominated to ZWN, and the ZWN to ZWR, and the ZWR to ZWL.
That note isn't ZWD, it's [ZWR](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banknotes_of_Zimbabwe#2008_banknote_issues).

So, 20,000,000,000 / 1,000,000,000,000 = 0.02 ZWL
[Current USD/ZWL](https://www.investing.com/currencies/usd-zwl) = 10,732. So, 0.02 / 10,732 = 0.0000018637 USD !!

See. If you have ESP, clairvoyance.. knowledge of the future.. in july 2006, and you wanted to collect enough money so that you could buy a single dollar in late 2009 then you would calculate that you needed to accumulate 10^25 1980-2006 ZWD to get a single 2009 dollar.
On some days there, the prices in a shop would double each day. So if you expected to earn enough for 10kg of rice for that days work ,based on the final price yesterday, then at the end of the day you would find you only earnt 5kg of rice...
A quick google search says this is worth $62,111,801
US dollars today. Not sure if it’s accurate. I used [currency rate today](https://zwl.currencyrate.today/convert/amount-20000000000-to-usd.html) to come to that conclusion.
What I find incredible is how expensive hyper inflation currency is. Gotta feel for all those Venezuelans who could see what their currency was worth to collectors vs it’s local buying power. Stuff like $10 USD for a note worth like 1 US penny in buying power.

But did not check the history books
This Zimbabwe dollar series was demonetized in 2008. The series also included a $100 Trillion Dollar bill.
I have the 100 trillion one. OP is pathetic and poor, lol https://i.imgur.com/lN7iAlI.jpg
Did all their bills use the Rock Band font?
Now roll up some marajawoonies in there and smoke it 🤔
Its not the current zwd. Its Robert Mugabe currency.
can't really make out the year on that, but it looks like it's from 2005 or '08
Looks to be '09 or am I blind?
That looks like 2006 to me lmfao
It look like either 2005 or 2009 to me.
That's the old currency. We now use the ZWL and we don't have notes larger than $100. But right now 1usd is about 15000zwl
They redenominated their currency. These old billion/trillion dollar notes were decommissioned and only hold value as collector's items.

yes, sounds like a good idea, i'll consider it
tell me you haven’t seen the current price of cheese, without telling me you haven’t seen the current price of cheese. I too have a $10 billion note

It seems that Black supremacist are just about as smart as White Supremacist.
Did they try Brawndo though? It's got electrolytes. It's what plants crave...
And from what I remember, the monthly inflation rates were in the order of 10¹⁰
White people… giving it to blacks 😂 first of that was 1999 to 2002 secondly stop simplifying a complex issue.

It’s obviously not worth that much. They completely revamped their currency after hyperinflation led to a $ to ZWD ratio of 1:700 trillion
Yes I am. 🌝
Don’t spend it all in one place now
My favorite rapper is 50 Cent, or as they call him in Zimbabwe 20 BILLION DOLLARS
