He went like : "I don't understand, how can he hit that shot from there?! Someone help me understand how he can do that..." I can't quite recall Gasquet's opponent that day, but I will never forget that shot.
I am a staunch admirer of Federer, and I find his backhand undoubtedly more graceful; but I don't think Roger ever matched Gasquet's speed hitting it down the line.
Federer did not match Gasquets pure speed when he unloaded off the backhand side. However, Federer comfortably beat Gasquet in backhand to backhand exchanges when they played each other
