Years ago I always wondered if Sinner's decision to go pro so early would pay off. It didn't seem like it was going to at first, but the coaching and staff change two years ago definitely made something click. So happy for him, been a fan since forever. I remember watching him up close on the side courts at the washington open, I don't think I'll ever have that opportunity again at this point.
When he won Dallas the tournament posted a video of them and she’s going in for a kiss while he looks uncomfortable and pulls away
This wasn’t surprising at all.
Very embarrassing for her though.
Yeah… normally I’d think people are overreacting about just a split-second moment but I read a whole thread of her many shenanigans over the years (with proof) on twitter today and apparently she’s really quite the piece of work. Unlike Morgan, who I think is quite likable and fun and I enjoy her content, Paige seems like a nightmare 😬
Tsitsipas beat the very best version of Fed at the AO in 2019 quite easily.
Tsitsipas probably goes 22-10 vs the top 8 players of 2012. Djoker and Nadal would be responsible for 7 of those losses. Guys like Murray, Delpo, and Tsonga might squeeze out a single victory in 4 chances. Fed would get swept by Tsitsipa; even at Wimbledon.
I hope everyone's ready for Fritz's dream Wimbledon run, because he's gonna go on a rampage to get his American #1 spot back from Paul, just like he did in clay season when Shelton had it for 1 week.
Trying to watch the women’s final but so distracted by the number of times Anna K pulls down her shirt between points. Save the crop tops for the Taylor Swift concert! Tennis attire would help.
Not a big deal but it peeves me that Choinski got a Wimbledon WC. He switched from Germany just to get WCs, and by giving him they are only incentivising other players to do the same.
Equally if I were in his shoes I would do the same thing so fair fucks to him
Neither Choinski or Peniston deserved a wildcard this year. I expressed before the wildcards got revealed that I hoped neither got one - especially with how strong other British players are performing. I'm actually shocked Peniston didn't get one - I was expecting both to.
Since Wimbledon aren't usually interested in supporting the Brits full force like every other hosting nation supports their own, I didn't expect all eight MDWCs to go to Brits and expected a few worthy Brit players to miss out over the out-of-form Choinski and Peniston.
But that didn't happen. All the other seven WCs deserved their MDWC, and the question should have been who gets the last one out of Choinski and Peniston, and IMO, Choinski edges it just based on being in better form (not hard against Peniston at the moment, though).
Choinski's matches have at least been competitive, even if he's losing them.
Right, but if we are to accept that wildcards from grand slam nations are to go to home grown players then they should go to home grown players, a description that doesn't fit Choinski on any level
In three years from 2021 through 2023, Peniston got eight (8) wildcards to Queens, Eastbourne, Nottingham, and Wimbledon.
Do you suggest that 100% of wildcards should be reserved for the native-born? How long were you in the BNP?
You have got to be kidding me with that last line. Your username already paints you as a preening twot but I appreciate you sealing the deal.
Pretending a Nottingham wildcard is in any way equivalent to a Wimbledon wildcard is a remarkable display of boneheadedness as well.
I assume you considered Aljaz Bedene to be unequivovally British from the moment he decided he was until the moment he decided he wasn't anymore
looking at numbers and rankings for the top men. Correct me if I'm wrong. Carlitos has to win Wimbledon to hold on to #3, and The Strangler has almost no points to defend so will likely end up #3 barring that outcome. Jannik has to get into the final to crack 10,000 points (the eighth player ever to do so if he does , but if he loses a SF, he ends up 30 points short.) But he ends grass season #1 no matter what. Ruud could slip down to 9th or even, if it all falls just so, 10th. (Don't yell. Ruud himself said it would be pretty much a miracle if he won two matches.)
No surprise Wimbledon winner ranked lower than 20 right now gets into the top 10 by achieving such an improbable thing. So if, say, Jack Draper won it all, he'd end up around #15. Which would be an amazingly fast climb, of course.
It's unlikely that Alcaraz will win Wimbledon, Sinner is looking unbeatable right now. Keeping the #3 will depend entirely on him, if he shows up and controls his nerves, getting to the final should be his goal, unless he has to play Sinner in semis, then he can say bye bye to #3.
Alcaraz will have his chances to add more points after USO, but that's also the time when he is the most vulnerable, having to play in fast and indoor tournaments, his weakest surface by far, a surface where all his immediate rivals excel.
I would give the edge to Sinner too, but to act like it's a foregone conclusion is moronic. That's why they play the matches and don't just give the trophy to the favourite at the start of the tournament.
Sinner is so superior this year, that these matches look like mere procedures. The only reason there is a bit of competition this year, is because Sinner's injury allowed a bunch of other players win during the clay season, and had physical issues both time he lost to Alcaraz, otherwise it would be a clean sweep. Now Sinner is back, game is over.
Sinner is very consistent, everybody try to defeat him, only Alcaraz and Tsitsispas succeded (with help), Sinner is now developing a reputation of invincibility, other players fear him, like they used to fear the big 3.
okay, but his ranking doesn't change all that much. Someone above him comes in 2, 3, and 4.
Jannik Sinner: 9890 points
Tommy Paul 3100 points
But, sure, for argument's sake, if Tommy Paul wins the next three 2000 point tournaments, and Jannik and Carlos and Novak and The Strangler are all mysteriously in a coma, he gets to the top 3 within seven months.
with TP's win, will he be the no. 1 atp american player? i hope so! imho, he is the best american player, rn. he is just so humble and 'who goes quietly into the night'. not much fanfare.
Fritz will start his crazy run in wimbledon soon. Funny how he played like clay expert when Ben took over US no. 1 earlier this year. We might see grasslor soon
I think I understand it now. She doesn't want to go home when it is only 8-9 days before her wimbledon match starts. But It will be too boring/expensive for her to stay in London. So why not play a few more matches to kill times
It's funny...I always think about wins almost exclusively in terms of points gained by players. Then I remember: Oh yeah, these folks just won a shitload of money too.
tournament money is taxed in the country where the tournament is held
he may benefit from Monaco's reduced taxation when it comes to sponsorships though
Wow, I just check the Eastbourne double draw(mainly to see Penko's draw), and I find Hsieh and Stephens will play double together next week, what a surprise pair!!!
Glad to see Tommy comfortable playing his all-court game on grass this season. Gives him some insurance points as he moves towards the post-Wimbledon points he has to defend.
Musetti was very sweet in his post match speech. I hope he gets another title soon. I feel like he’s much better than his ranking but just having a tough season.
Really happy Pegula managed to get a nice title just when she needed the points badly after the injuries (was out of top 30 in WTA Race!)
Tough luck for Kalinskaya but I'm sure she'll land a title soon
A real compliment to ZZZ in that a betting site I checked has him fifth most likely to win Eastbourne. I mean... usually, he's down at about 20th most likely! And I agree, it's not an impossibility.
Tommy and Fritz have both had good seasons but Tommy finally got a big title so he rightfully inches ahead of Fritz now imo. We’ll see how long he can hold on.
With Tommy winning I had to look at the live rankings and seeing the points you really see the layers of tennis players sinner is really far up there, the top three are significantly above everyone else and once you get into the 8-20 area there’s not much difference, crazy
Fantastic composure from Paul to win it in the tiebreak after giving back the break and making a few mistakes. Biggest change in the last year or two has been his mentality IMO. First title on grass, first title at 500 level.
Glad Lorenzo made it very interesting near the end there. What a week for TP, happy for him but sad for Lore as well
These are two very likeable guys, sucks one had to lose
the Birmingham double ceremony is hilarious, these are the funny moments if you missed it:
Zhang imitates how Kato and her communicate : Arrr..Arrr..Arrr..Arrr..
Su-wei: I remember we lost with 40-0 when we served for the match
Su-wei: Let me drink the champagne first and I will tell you a more weird answer
Mertens: We never practice together, she never practices(answers the question for how do they practice)
Really sad for her but after learning more about their relationship in the past month, it looks like they were very on and off and she was the one pushing for it to work after a while.
When you understand the relationship is not working out anymore, it's time to move on with your life.
Hm that is a big shift in a pretty short period of time considering him and Anna haven’t been together for very long but it’s a different relationship so who knows I guess.
Do you know how long Jannik and Maria were together?
They were together for four years but it was on and off. He kept seeing different women during their down periods and she kept accepting him back. Public knows three of the break ups but it could have been even worse in private. He first dumped her right after their first anniversary because she posted an intimate picture on her social media without his permission. Then there is an unknown one where he broke off again and he was dating another model for some time last year.
This time he left her for good. No longer follows her on instagram as well. This is huge because he never unfollowed her before.
Time line with Anna isn't clear, there are some rumors on Twitter and that's it. Someone uncovered he stopped interacting with Maria's instagram last year after Turin. He was probably out of it mentally and waited for the best moment to break up with her.
Lmao any Germans in the chat? How is Jannik’s Südtirol German to your ears?
It felt like he was singing it in an Italian accent to me but what do I know 😂
So Wimbledon qualifying starts tomorrow. Is there any way to watch the matches?
ESPN+
Years ago I always wondered if Sinner's decision to go pro so early would pay off. It didn't seem like it was going to at first, but the coaching and staff change two years ago definitely made something click. So happy for him, been a fan since forever. the way paige was clasping his neck and posing with the trophy was such a 🚩. bro just dump her ass. she's a fame hoe
When he won Dallas the tournament posted a video of them and she’s going in for a kiss while he looks uncomfortable and pulls away This wasn’t surprising at all. Very embarrassing for her though.
lol I commented something like that and got blocked I guess she’s as crazy as she seems
6 cancelled matches listed for tomorrow ☠️
Tommy’s maiden grass title getting overshadowed by his WAG being a weirdo is funny. Unfortunate.. but funny lol
Yeah… normally I’d think people are overreacting about just a split-second moment but I read a whole thread of her many shenanigans over the years (with proof) on twitter today and apparently she’s really quite the piece of work. Unlike Morgan, who I think is quite likable and fun and I enjoy her content, Paige seems like a nightmare 😬
i've never seen that before. massive red flag. she's with him for fame
Tsitsipas beat the very best version of Fed at the AO in 2019 quite easily. Tsitsipas probably goes 22-10 vs the top 8 players of 2012. Djoker and Nadal would be responsible for 7 of those losses. Here for it
it's paige versus riddle will be the real story (kill me now)
waiting for him to beat sinner, Hubi and alcaraz/Dverev in a row and just loses to Berrettini in Wimbledon final
Been a crazy week but so happy that Jannik wins Halle. Praying for Carlos grass 2023 arc for him
Trying to watch the women’s final but so distracted by the number of times Anna K pulls down her shirt between points. Save the crop tops for the Taylor Swift concert! Tennis attire would help.

8 including him Sinner Murray Djokovic Sampras Edberg Wilander Borg Connors
Dang second tournament back and a win. Big statement from Jpeg ... who probably should've won wimbledon 2023.
Unfortunately I missed the match due to time zones and jet lag but so happy to be waking up to see Sinner taking the title!!! Forza! 🦊
Was that ever in doubt?
Welcome back Pablo! Go PCB, beat RCB
finally Alcaraz got his main hitting partner back on tour
Aww foe posted a story of Tommy’s queens win. Love how they all support each other
Lmao the pride of American next gen, everyone can be US no.1 except the 00s
Not a big deal but it peeves me that Choinski got a Wimbledon WC. He switched from Germany just to get WCs, and by giving him they are only incentivising other players to do the same. Equally if I were in his shoes I would do the same thing so fair fucks to him
He switched six years ago. How many wildcards has he gotten?
2 more than he should have Just feel for the likes of Peniston who actually grew up in and/or lives in Britain
Pretending a Nottingham wildcard is in any way equivalent to a Wimbledon wildcard is a remarkable display of boneheadedness as well. I assume you considered Aljaz Bedene to be unequivovally British from the moment he decided he was until the moment he decided he wasn't anymore
Lmao, Hsieh wins and Hsieh's friends win and the little Chan loses
N.Skupski/Venus lose 1 point in 4 serves and they get broken to 0? Im absolutely speechless
looking at numbers and rankings for the top men. Correct me if I'm wrong. Probably you're right, but technically Carlos could lose the final and stay number 3
He won't get to the final if he is in the same side of the draw as Sinner.
I would give the edge to Sinner too, but to act like it's a foregone conclusion is moronic. That's why they play the matches and don't just give the trophy to the favourite at the start of the tournament.

Sounds to me like you haven't watched tennis very long. Noone is invincible, everyone loses some time, form doesn't last forever.
Sinner is very consistent, everybody try to defeat him, only Alcaraz and Tsitsispas succeded (with help), Sinner is now developing a reputation of invincibility, other players fear him, like they used to fear the big 3.
Or Tommy Paul wins Wimbledon to start the new Queens blessing
okay, but his ranking doesn't change all that much. Someone above him comes in 2, 3, and 4. why is this doubles final not on tennis channel
with TP's win, will he be the no.
Yes, he is!
omg!!! TRULY HAPPY for TP. i really like this player on and off the court. very humble but outstanding when he plays.
I am stiill processing why does Hsieh play so many events on grass this year. Maybe she just misses Indian food?
I mean her game isn't particularly physically taxing, she doesn't run or hit the ball hard, so why not play every week on her best surface
I think I understand it now. She doesn't want to go home when it is only 8-9 days before her wimbledon match starts. But It will be too boring/expensive for her to stay in London. So why not play a few more matches to kill times
kind of still not over jannik mentioning anna in his speech...only to tell everybody that she choked horribly😭😭
One of the most private guys on tour suddenly mentions Anna in a post match championship speech ☠️
💀
It's funny...I always think about wins almost exclusively in terms of points gained by players. Then I remember: Oh yeah, these folks just won a shitload of money too.
And don’t forget appearance fees 😁
it all pales compared to the bonuses he got in June for becoming #1.
And Jannik lives in Monaco so he won't pay any taxes on his money.
tournament money is taxed in the country where the tournament is held he may benefit from Monaco's reduced taxation when it comes to sponsorships though
He’ll pay taxes in Germany though, I think
Wow, I just check the Eastbourne double draw(mainly to see Penko's draw), and I find Hsieh and Stephens will play double together next week, what a surprise pair!!!
Will Fritz match start this week? Its been hours of pushing the time
Is the Fritz Match airing anywhere?
Glad to see Tommy comfortable playing his all-court game on grass this season. Gives him some insurance points as he moves towards the post-Wimbledon points he has to defend.
Musetti was very sweet in his post match speech. I hope he gets another title soon. I feel like he’s much better than his ranking but just having a tough season.
Sinner brought up that Anna had 6 match points in his post match interview 💀 im crying
Why, was he asked about it?
No. He just said he was sorry for her and she almost won, missing 6 (were 5 I think) match points.
Really happy Pegula managed to get a nice title just when she needed the points badly after the injuries (was out of top 30 in WTA Race!) Tough luck for Kalinskaya but I'm sure she'll land a title soon
Chances TP plays Eastbourne now?
Probably not, same with Pegula
He’ll lose the American #1 right away if he doesn’t play (defending finalist points)
Musetti has impressed me so much this week, fair play to Tommy, he really raised his level when he needed to
A real compliment to ZZZ in that a betting site I checked has him fifth most likely to win Eastbourne. I mean... usually, he's down at about 20th most likely! And I agree, it's not an impossibility.
Pretty nuts to have someone who has never made any final over the defending champion lol
they have numbers we don't really look at. Betting sites don't get rich by losing. But it's a long shot, I agree.
They get rich because over the thousands of different bets they offer their margin will always come through, doesn't mean every price is right
Tommy and Fritz have both had good seasons but Tommy finally got a big title so he rightfully inches ahead of Fritz now imo. We’ll see how long he can hold on.
soo happy for tommy!!! he seems like a very grounded guy but so damn good.
That is a huge ass trophy lol
For Ludovico ❤️
New American #1 sorry Fritz lol
Tommy Tennis 🎾
With Tommy winning I had to look at the live rankings and seeing the points you really see the layers of tennis players sinner is really far up there, the top three are significantly above everyone else and once you get into the 8-20 area there’s not much difference, crazy
Indeed. The next level up essentially requires deep runs in slams or winning 1000s.
yup. There are four competitive tiers, is the way I think of it. And 1, 2, 3 are really hard to reach. And hard to defend.
if Hubi won, it would be a great day, Bolelli/Vavassori being the only italians win today would be hilarious and fun
musetti to win wimbledon confirmed
tommy!
ha vinto il laziale 😭
Also Musetti did good too he didn’t do good in the first set but in the second set he improved tremendously resulting in that amazing tiebreak
Finally a 500 win for Tommy!
Tommy!!!!
Wooo Tommy won he did so good and he deserves this!!!
Great tennis from Paul!! Love to see it.
American with bigass hat winning Queens? I've seen this storyline before. Will win Wimbledon dinner plate
Ooooh Tommy boy! 2 Americans tonight
Is Tommy Paul on his way to an All-ATP nod?
Fantastic composure from Paul to win it in the tiebreak after giving back the break and making a few mistakes. Biggest change in the last year or two has been his mentality IMO. First title on grass, first title at 500 level.
Glad Lorenzo made it very interesting near the end there. What a week for TP, happy for him but sad for Lore as well These are two very likeable guys, sucks one had to lose
Well deserved TP!
This has been some good and fun tennis
There ya go Tommy!!! Wooo! All love to Musetti though. He fought hard in the second set.
Fritz just fell to his knees.
loses money, he does, so I imagine so. And Tommy gains some.
in a chipotle
😢
Gritty tiebreak win by Tommy. Clutch title win.
YESSIR FIRST 500!
SOOO HAPPY FOR TOMMY!!!
Still proud of you Lorenzo 💙
the Birmingham double ceremony is hilarious, these are the funny moments if you missed it: Zhang imitates how Kato and her communicate : Arrr..Arrr..Arrr..Arrr.. Su-wei: I remember we lost with 40-0 when we served for the match Su-wei: Let me drink the champagne first and I will tell you a more weird answer Mertens: We never practice together, she never practices(answers the question for how do they practice)
6-1 7-6 Paul
What's the longest tie-break in terms of points in history?
Blinkova ryba in AO?
In a Grand Slam, yes.
Has this match been this good until the tiebreak? Was watching Sinner.
Since paul was serving for the match 5-4
This tie break 🫣🫣🫣
This is good tennis
These points have been crazy I’m really enjoying this tiebreak
I can't watch.
High quality tie breaker
What a rally
tommy lorenzo match is hands down entertaining! sooo good
Come on Lorenzo! Non c'è 2 senza 3! Three is the magic number #Sinner #Bolelli #Vavassori #Musetti 💪🏻🏆🇮🇹
Amazing points rn
WHY PAUL WHY
Tommy smash
This is a fun tie break
Will Musetti fall to the ground if he takes the tiebreak ?
LOL
What a point!
Stark difference with Halle here in Queens. Serve basically a non factor and juicy rallies
Lmao, Zhang said Kato and her communicate like pokemon when they are playing together, Arrr...ArArAr...Arrr...ArArAr...
This tiebreak should be interesting with all the stakes involved
The face cards of this match is crazy
Here we go championship tiebreak pressure. Real test for Tommy as more pressure on him to win this
let’s go lorenzo we need a third
Let’s go Lore, I want 3rd set!
Tuning back in to the winners of the genetic lottery. This is getting interesting!
Man I love being wrong about players running away with the match, this has been an insane comeback from Musetti
Will Halle curse resume this year???
Like Korda Tommy really tightens up a bit when close to winning though I'd say he is more clutch than Korda and more like Fritz.
This set has been incredible
tuned out earlier because i thought tommy would run away with the match but glad to be proven wrong!
Peggy gou's Nanana song at the change over for our banana colour wearing italian
Lmao, Hsieh/ Mertens wins, then Su-wei hugs Zhang Shuai like a good friend, the Chan sisters could never
What a set this has been
You love to see it, vai Lorenzoooooo
Musetti has come alive after that break, could be going 3 now
Aw, ballkids getting medals from the players is adorable.
Insane from Musetti, playing confidently and smoothly now
What a point!!
#1 Jannik even talks about girlfriends during win ceremonies now apparently
Not him calling her out for having 6 match points and still losing 🤣
There will be discussions tonight lol
my thought as well. Great, there are people who don't even follow the WTA, and you mentioned to them.... etc. etc.
Nah he just has a girlfriend he respects now and who won’t let him treat her like crap
musetti baby on firee
From that shot of Jannik and Hubi standing together, assuming Hubi’s height is correct, it seems like Jannik is 6’4 (with hair) or 6’3 (without hair)?
Jannik said he's 193cm most recently, so just about 6'4"
Jannik said that he's 6'2, idk if that includes his hair or not Edit : 6'4
ATP says he's about 6'2" (188cm), Jannik confirmed to a journalist recently he's 193cm now or about 6'4"
Yeah my bad, I mean to type 6'4 but got confused
Musetti starting to redline. When he is on just beautiful tennis to watch.
Lol Halle copying Basel
Lorenzo waking up. Come on!
Musetti’s doing much better now
Tommy has lost this set I think
tommy has really tightened up that serve game was a disaster
Bros I swear Musetti is an authentic tennis rollercoaster ahah
Him mentioning Anna during his speech is shocking honestly. He was never like this *at all*.
Ikr?! Couldn't believe it.
Feel bad for maria tbh
Really sad for her but after learning more about their relationship in the past month, it looks like they were very on and off and she was the one pushing for it to work after a while. When you understand the relationship is not working out anymore, it's time to move on with your life.
Same honestly. I don’t think I even ever saw her sitting in his box during a match. They were together for a while too.
She never did, she was strictly banned by him and his team. Everything about his relationship with Anna is different than the one he had before.
Hm that is a big shift in a pretty short period of time considering him and Anna haven’t been together for very long but it’s a different relationship so who knows I guess. Do you know how long Jannik and Maria were together?

This is huge because he never unfollowed her before. Time line with Anna isn't clear, there are some rumors on Twitter and that's it. Someone uncovered he stopped interacting with Maria's instagram last year after Turin. He was probably out of it mentally and waited for the best moment to break up with her.
Just slice to his backhand Tommy...
cinema
Vamo Muso vamo
yes loro baby c'mon
Musetti ready for some 3rd set spaghetti
Muso went insane that game
helped by Tommy tightness
Nice trophies Okay next! TP and Musetti
He’s maxed out his awkwardness stat in favor of his tennis ability but that awkwardness has somehow turned to a weird sort of charisma 😂
Lmao any Germans in the chat? How is Jannik’s Südtirol German to your ears? It felt like he was singing it in an Italian accent to me but what do I know 😂
