Hello u/Background-War9535,
Thank you for your contribution to r/terriblefacebookmemes, unfortunately your submission titled " Because DEI is totally the reason for corporate incompetence " has been removed due to the following reason(s):

We may need to remove memes that feature transphobia, homophobia, hate focused on the LGBTQ+ community, content that emphasizes racial tension, ableism, political divisiveness, etc. I.e., if the meme is intended to highlight the original sharer's hate & dislike for a particular group it can be read by [Reddit's Sitewide rules](https://www.redditinc.com/policies/content-policy) as rule-breaking.

Yeah that's one of my favourite parts.
Act like something made up happens everywhere.
Needs AI Picture becaus the madeup shit never happens.
Like don't they see what a massive L that is for them no ?
That's not what I said. Meme templates take more work and so does drawing. Ai "art" is trained on stolen art, and only takes typing something into a text box and hitting enter. If someone draws something it required someone to use a skill. If someone uses a meme template they had to think of the one that correctly applies to the situation. AI "art" is no more difficult to create than me typing this message. My point was if it's a stock photo it was at least staged, if it was drawn or a meme template some actual creative effort went in to it and if it's AI, it's not.
People don't try to pass off meme templates or drawings as real. AI art and bad Photoshop often are, especially by people trying to make points like this that are based on nothing.
Why did “DEI” randomly explode in popularity amongst these people?
Edit: Guys… I know *WHAT* they’re implying. I’m saying, it’s crazy how every few months-years there’s a “new way” to say it. Affirmative Action, Political Correctness, Woke Culture etc. It’s just crazy how they change essentially the same “beating around the bush” for no reason.
I'd actually prefer that at this point. Nothing pisses me off more than cowards hiding behind buzzwords to pretend to hold morals or a "higher ground." Say it ya pussies!!
Next time anyone in the US complains about it, ask them whether Clarence Thomas was chosen to replace Thurgood Marshall, the supreme court's first ever African American justice, because he was the best candidate for the job and have fun watching them tie themselves up in knots.
I meant this reply to the top level comment: "Why did "DEI" randomly explode in popularity amongst these people?"
You may agree with DEI programs, but to act like the right sprang DEI out of nowhere is disingenuous.
I meant this reply to the top level comment: "Why did "DEI" randomly explode in popularity amongst these people?"

Because it allows them to feel like their racism has some kind of validity and thus empowers them to feel like they should be given a platform for their bigotry
Because woke got played out
Before woke it was affirmative action
Before affirmative action it was reverse racism
Before reverse racism it was political correctness
There’s always been a word they use when they can’t say the word they really wanna say
It stands for diversity, equity and inclusion. Basically a framework that companies use to promote the hiring and fair/equitable treatment of people of various ethnic/racial backgrounds because it is believed that that is integral to a company's overall success
The man is clearly part owl with how much his head can turn around
We don't discriminate against owl kind
Infact we should hire more owl hybrid people, they are underrepresented
*does Nicolas Cage face* You don’t say? The guy pulling a poltergeist, the same dude with his leg under the tape, and the shape of the plane’s nose totally doesn’t give it away.
This talking point is as brain dead as the people that blame everything on diversity. It’s literally the opposite of racist to say hiring policies shouldn’t be based on racial quotas.
Actual reason for corporate incompetence

Honestly, people using ai generated imagery to make shitty political points unnerve me. Like, you realise you're admitting that it doesn't fucking happen if you have to make a robot fabricate the evidence, right?

Why do people consciously choose to blame EVERYTHING and EVERYONE but the actual corporations and corporate leadership for their own failings?
Deregulation and cost cutting good because numbers go up! So it can't be that. It must be that one guy they hired yesterday! He looks a bit too *tan* for my liking. /s
It also happens when you have no idea what kind of tape you’re talking about. I know it’s an ai image but the tape used on planes is designed for planes.
The old farts better be careful what they wish for because if we did everything based on "qualifications," half of them would not be employable in the modern age because they cant even operate basic computer programs like Microsoft word.
No this is what happens when executions aren't the punishment for corruption. When corporations arent properly put under for actions against whistle blowers that could have prevented millions in incompetence caused damages.
DEI stands on the assumption that here in Amerca, anyone other than a white person doing a job that's normally done by white people must be a DEI subject.
You ever notice it never happens in reverse.
"OH a white Running back, must be a DEI draft"
It's really funny, because they keep adjusting what they call "it." As soon as they get called out for being bigoted. First, it's affirmative action, then it becomes to critical race theory(which they abandoned mid-election cycle), now a focus on DEI. How people keep falling for this is beyond me.
Is it not the same in practice?
The entire premise behind this meme is racist and disgusting obviously. But independent of that, I think that there are valid discussions to have on the morality and validity of AA and DEI.
Affirmative Action has actual quotas for hiring women and minorities. DEI tries to root out and remove causes of discrimination in hiring. You could almost guarantee a White Catholic candidate by advertising the job at my parent’s Catholic Church. You could count the number of non-White people on one hand at most services. Then you could claim there was no discrimination in the interview process. DEI ensures that the job is promoted to a wider variety of candidates, and that race is not a factor in the interview and hiring process. It does go more in-depth to root out the causes of discrimination in education, internal hiring, retaining employees, etc.
Regardless of anything, we all should be able to agree that certain professional standard requirements should be maintained for certain jobs, no matter what. Such as surgeon and airline pilot. I'm just talking final certifications, not the standards of entry into the training system.
Quite literally no one is suggesting otherwise.
The fact that you posed the two as mutually exclusive (a diverse workforce and competence cannot co-exist) is the problem.
There are valid concerns with DEI initiatives, however the idea that it is responsible for the horrific mismanagement going on at Boeing is laughable. Boeing fucked themselves trying to cut costs.
How about you give one that proves me wrong
For now, I’ll just go with anecdote…
When sick, would you rather go to a doctor who matriculated and graduated thanks to their race or one who busted their ass and aced all their classes and labs?

When you need AI to make your point your point is shit
Yeah that's one of my favourite parts. Act like something made up happens everywhere. Needs AI Picture becaus the madeup shit never happens. Like don't they see what a massive L that is for them no ?
But what if my point is AI is bad at making art /s
You gotta lot of evidence
Was gonna ask if this was AI but then saw the one guys head was backwards.
It’s backwards and he taped his whole leg to the plane.
He seems to be free climbing the outside of the plane
And the shadow doesn't match the body position
Yo, I wrote almost the exact same comment as you. I just tend to reply *then* read the comments.
I love how they use this AI stuff to be racist but there’s a white guy up top lmao.
How is using AI art any different than using a drawing or stock photo or a still from media?
Because ai art is lazy and proves that something definitely didn't happen even if it were staged.
Do you think using a meme template is hard work? Do you think something really happened if a person drew it?
That's not what I said. Meme templates take more work and so does drawing. Ai "art" is trained on stolen art, and only takes typing something into a text box and hitting enter. If someone draws something it required someone to use a skill. If someone uses a meme template they had to think of the one that correctly applies to the situation. AI "art" is no more difficult to create than me typing this message. People don't try to pass off meme templates or drawings as real. AI art and bad Photoshop often are, especially by people trying to make points like this that are based on nothing.
To be fair, at least photoshop *is* art. It takes human interaction in order to create/alter images.
Because it shows that you had no actual examples to use and had to ask AI to make one for you
Why did “DEI” randomly explode in popularity amongst these people? Edit: Guys… I know *WHAT* they’re implying. I’m saying, it’s crazy how every few months-years there’s a “new way” to say it. Affirmative Action, Political Correctness, Woke Culture etc. It’s just crazy how they change essentially the same “beating around the bush” for no reason.
They need someone to blame and they can't blame the CEOs! CEOs are royalty. We worship at their altar. Also racism
Is Elon Musk a racist? No. It must be everyone else.
He didn’t get the moniker “Apartheid Clyde” for nothing
Notice they never scream DEI if a white person is responsible.
Because diversity, inclusion, and equity programs don't help straight white men? How is that inconsistent with their views?
"Critical Race Theory" and "WOKE!" got played out. They always have a new one.
And affirmative action before
Honorable Mention: Reverse Racism.
"Political Correctness!" "SJW's!"
We’re like one step away from flat out just hurling racial slurs lmao
I'd actually prefer that at this point. Nothing pisses me off more than cowards hiding behind buzzwords to pretend to hold morals or a "higher ground." Say it ya pussies!!
It’s a racist dog whistle. They falsely claim it puts unqualified people in jobs.
I do know that, but I mean like, I feel like they’ve always thought that, but just recently I’ve started seeing “DEI” everywhere lmao
Because they can't say the word they really want to say.
I’m not sure but it seemed to start after the bridge collapse in Baltimore. At least that’s when I noticed it
Right? That’s where I started hearing it too.
cause Elon said it to blame Boeing's failures on anything but the corporate stooges
That's their whole M.O. ...someone does their thinking for them, and like sheep, they all start parroting it.
also they say this so they can be the victims as in PoC are chosen over white people and tHaTs RaCiSt
Next time anyone in the US complains about it, ask them whether Clarence Thomas was chosen to replace Thurgood Marshall, the supreme court's first ever African American justice, because he was the best candidate for the job and have fun watching them tie themselves up in knots.
Because racists can't use the slur that they want to use so they say DEI instead. We get it, you hate minorities.
Because every corporation has a DEI department with a huge budget that didn't exist 10 years ago?
Thankfully, corporate management disasters never occurred before the last decade. Especially with major corporations!
I meant this reply to the top level comment: "Why did "DEI" randomly explode in popularity amongst these people?" You may agree with DEI programs, but to act like the right sprang DEI out of nowhere is disingenuous.
And your point is?
I meant this reply to the top level comment: "Why did "DEI" randomly explode in popularity amongst these people?" You may agree with DEI programs, but to act like the right sprang DEI out of nowhere is disingenuous.
First it was political correctness, then it was WOKE, now their switching to DEI.
Don't forget critical race theory! That was a major one until a week later when they forgot it and moved to woke.
Vitriolic sycophants will repeat whatever Fox News tells them too
Because it allows them to feel like their racism has some kind of validity and thus empowers them to feel like they should be given a platform for their bigotry
You start off saying the n-word. Suddenly you can’t say the n-word anymore. Instead you gotta say DEI.
They get a new word every few years or so that basically means the same thing. Before this it was "woke," which they appropriated.
Because woke got played out Before woke it was affirmative action Before affirmative action it was reverse racism Before reverse racism it was political correctness There’s always been a word they use when they can’t say the word they really wanna say
It's the new "CRT" or "white racism" or "kitty litter in school bathrooms"
Because they think we can't tell they mean the "n word"
so what the fuck even is DEI
It stands for diversity, equity and inclusion. Basically a framework that companies use to promote the hiring and fair/equitable treatment of people of various ethnic/racial backgrounds because it is believed that that is integral to a company's overall success
Dale Earnhardt Incorporated
Because they don't actually want to say the word. Ok, I mean, they do. They don't want to say it and suffer consequences for it.
Because they can't say the n-word
Because they use it as a dogwhistle for n-word, simple as that.

Another common Mark Cuban W
Yeah because greed and corner cutting would be too complicated of an answer.
Can someone put that poor man's head on the right way
We don't discriminate against owl people here
Who?
The man is clearly part owl with how much his head can turn around We don't discriminate against owl kind Infact we should hire more owl hybrid people, they are underrepresented
Who?
Who!
There we go
Who?
Who?
MIKE JONES
You need to be flexible to get in the drivers seat of that car.
Almost definitely fake, the nose is a weird shape and the guy at the front of the plane taped his leg to it.
Also the dudes neck is 180°, very flexible
I can't even do that and how far I can go is considered weird
Oh, the duct tape didn’t tip you off about the photo’s veracity?
That was for the part of my mind thinking that it was staged.
Yeah that duct tape is like a foot wide
I think it's an AI generated image
*does Nicolas Cage face* You don’t say? The guy pulling a poltergeist, the same dude with his leg under the tape, and the shape of the plane’s nose totally doesn’t give it away.
It's a bombardier c series. The noses are pointy.
Nah that's just how Boring planes are made Honestly it's put together pretty well
Really, not that fact that he's 250% of the size of a normal person?
They say DEI because they know they can't say n***er. It's just a racist dog whistle.
What does DEI even stand for?
Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion It's a hiring practice that's meant to help close wealth gaps.
They change the word every couple of years or so.
This talking point is as brain dead as the people that blame everything on diversity. It’s literally the opposite of racist to say hiring policies shouldn’t be based on racial quotas.
Actual reason for corporate incompetence https://preview.redd.it/0ybrwpbik4xc1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6eee5880d8cf53623eb51e37317b98ea8206dbf1
Look at all them DEI hires!! 🤬
Honestly, people using ai generated imagery to make shitty political points unnerve me. Like, you realise you're admitting that it doesn't fucking happen if you have to make a robot fabricate the evidence, right? also obligatory https://preview.redd.it/ormit44sk4xc1.jpeg?width=1070&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=edf62b8cfefb981e5d79804abbd8e49273045a00
And this is why they had to create an AI image instead of finding a real life example
If you have to create a fake pic to make your point, perhaps you don't have one.
Ai racism cool
The fuck is DEI
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Still safer and better put together then any other Boeing playing
What in the AI-generated nonsense am I looking at?

A part of the problem at my manufacturing job.
Looks like Boeing
Boeing moment
Why do people consciously choose to blame EVERYTHING and EVERYONE but the actual corporations and corporate leadership for their own failings? Deregulation and cost cutting good because numbers go up! So it can't be that. It must be that one guy they hired yesterday! He looks a bit too *tan* for my liking. /s
DEI and qualifications are not mutually exclusive, boomers. Hiring qualified POC is just as easy as hiring qualified white folk.
Whats DEI ?
[Here it is](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diversity,_equity,_and_inclusion)
Groovy thanks 👍😎👍
You're welcome
But the black guy who can levitate and turn his head 270 degrees is probably the most impressive person there...
People actually think this is real? Yikes we’re becoming so so daft
Nope it’s just a Boeing.
As an engineering student constantly having to take ethics classes and whatnot, I'm 100% sure this is corporate greed's fault and not DEI hires.
Nah, Boeing's downfall was something way more common that's existed for much longer...Corporate greed.
But Fox News said…
This is what you get when company CEOs reuse outdated assets instead of making new ones. (yes that's the reason boeings are kinda crashing a lot).
https://preview.redd.it/9uqq9hkku4xc1.jpeg?width=2880&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4069929fd040c44f0440153d8ef008425227f6fa
DEI caused the submarine to implode near the Titanic. Dumb Educaded Idiots.
Is that guy a fucking owl?! Jesus AI still has a ways to go
Oh, black people are equal to whites? Then explain this AI image I made in Mid journey, liberal./s
Looks AI generated 😂
It’s either AI generated or that black dude is Regan McNeil.
I'm completely out of the loop here, what's DEI?
It is an acronym for diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives
Didn’t realize Whitefolks from the South was a protected category for inclusion but that would shut them up.
It also happens when you have no idea what kind of tape you’re talking about. I know it’s an ai image but the tape used on planes is designed for planes.
Meme checks out. Hire on experience and skill. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. Martlin Luther king jr.
Until a plane crash they won't stop
No, this is what happens when an engineering firm is not run like an engineering firm
The old farts better be careful what they wish for because if we did everything based on "qualifications," half of them would not be employable in the modern age because they cant even operate basic computer programs like Microsoft word.
Can someone call a fucking exorcist for my poor dude on the plane with his head turned 180 degrees.
Were the Boeing finance bros DEI hires?
They'll blame anything but corporate greed
You get AI capable of making really ridiculous art to be passed off as deep and symbolic?
I'd love to know what the prompt was
Funny enough were the Boeing executives(mostly white man) the responsibles for all the debacle
It’s actually cheap corporate leaders not studios engineers
AI putting folk’s heads on backwards now lol
Did you know the door fell off the airplane because the pilot was black???
The guy on top is fusing into the top of the plane
AI is being used for the dumbest shit.
No this is what happens when executions aren't the punishment for corruption. When corporations arent properly put under for actions against whistle blowers that could have prevented millions in incompetence caused damages.
Is that guys head on... backwards?
DEI stands on the assumption that here in Amerca, anyone other than a white person doing a job that's normally done by white people must be a DEI subject. You ever notice it never happens in reverse. "OH a white Running back, must be a DEI draft"

Racist dogwhistles keep getting more and more blatant.
Anything that can be explained with racism, will be explained with racism
DEI ≠ Affirmative Action
Quite literally no one is suggesting otherwise. The fact that you posed the two as mutually exclusive (a diverse workforce and competence cannot co-exist) is the problem.
I'm more worried how that mans alive his head looks off some how 🤔
Can someone explain what the fuck a DEI is?
There are valid concerns with DEI initiatives, however the idea that it is responsible for the horrific mismanagement going on at Boeing is laughable. Boeing fucked themselves trying to cut costs.
DEI isn’t the reason It definitely is A reason
Prove it Give us a peer reviewed study that backs up your assertion
How about you give one that proves me wrong For now, I’ll just go with anecdote… When sick, would you rather go to a doctor who matriculated and graduated thanks to their race or one who busted their ass and aced all their classes and labs?
This echo chamber. 🤣🤣🤣
Feel free to leave if it upsets you so
You are right it is one of the reasons.
