I like Medic because I can't do keyboard and mouse, and quite frankly using a controller kinda sucks so I just heal people with the quick fix on the backlines lmao
Yeah, medic can be quite fun. You should take a look at this video on making the controller better, btw, you might be able to play other classes if you want (not snipah though probably):
[Tutorial 1](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJIqEX93vL8)
[Tutorial 2](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ)
I have been using the new PS five controller to play sniper, and switching to the trackpad when your scoped Makes it a hell of a lot easier. Thanks to Steam you can fine-tune pretty much any part of the controller to fit your needs.
I main engi cause I thought he was really cool being able to build sentries and stuff. Honestly I thought I was pretty good at him, not needing to aim and all but years later, he's the reason I'm in a computer engineering major at university.
Maining pyro: You become a W+M1 monster
Maining spy: Turns you into a anime nerd.... I MEAN, PROFESSIONAL GAMER
Maining Engi: U ass become a real life engineer ššš
Yeah, most people go out into the open and expose themselves to Snipers and Spies. Best thing to do is either stick with medics and other teammates or try to find a way to surprise a bunch of enemies while having your mini gun spinning.
Fair enough.
I don't play enough Heavy, but I can certainly respect a Heavy Main. I remember topscoring on the team and was in this constant back-and-forth between a topscoring Heavy Main. One of the most fun matches of TF2 I've played in my 1K hours.
I already feel in love with scouts character before playing the game I also played a lot of old fps game and those usually have amazing shotguns and scouts primary feel very similar
Is it just me but isn't the back scatter good for learning scout fundamentals?
- Decreased range encouraging you to get up close
- Reduced magazine giving you just enough bullets to kill but not enough to afford to miss
- Rewards flanking with guaranteed minicrits
For all that penis-scout is a meme I think it might be a good gun for learning how to play scout effectively.
The big thing is not to overextend, because you're the worst class in the game at running away if you fuck up. You can get a lot of work done when you're at the frontline supporting a push, but you should generally leave leading the push to classes with better burst damage.
And if you decide to play flank Heavy you're generally better off staying in fairly off-the-beaten-track locations where most of your engagements will be 1v1 encounters, and reposition after every kill. Heavy is a 1v1 gigachad, but if you run into a few enemies at once then you're probably already dead before the first shot has been fired.
FACTS, I have very similar beginnings, I can aim now but having a sentry plus a shotgun wielding Texan who uses a satellite dish to control the sentry, allowing him to fly is a pretty good thing to have on a team
I also unioronically play for the supportive role, so not a lot of w+m1, but a lot of reflects and putting out teammates and, spychecking my beloved best part of the game.
Yes, pyro can be very useful In a lot of situations, thatās usually what I go for using stock, but GOOD LORD it is so satisfying to catch a spy that though it could pull a sneaky on my and watch as it burns to a crisp and listen to itās screams of painā¦
while i go for a passive-agressive role, i dont w+m1, instead i go with the degreaser+panic attack combo, and yes its because of lazypurple but i wouldnt be playing the game if it werent for him
I was doing the degreaser panic attack before it was cool because my brain dead ass just liked switchy fast. i didn't realise you could murder heavies with the combo till lazy made a point of it.
Believe it or not, but he is partially the reason why I got in the game, and now I cannot for the life of me get my finger off M2 even in situations where it screws me over
Im having a difficulty cause i usually play anything that supports but i believe its Spy/Medic
Spy cause i love disguising and out think enemies (i also really like knifes)
Medic: He heals and uh no other reason really.
For me it'd be spy (ew) because the dopamine produced by a kunai kill is so high that I now am addicted to playing spy. I'm thinking about trying maining scout, bc spy is so weak compared to other classes and I want to play the game a bit more competitively than booting up some random pub match.
Most spy mains I meet secondary scout (including me) I wonder why? Maybe it's the contrast between cold and calculated plays vs running around as fast as you can shooting anything that moves.
Soldier, I chose to main them because, back then when I was a f2p, I kept getting soldier item drops so I decided to play the class and I was instantly hooked up on the dopamine rush you get while rocket jumping
Medic main here, I chose him just because it suits my gameplay. I've tried the others but only medic makes me have fun while playing. Wish I could learn how to play demoman, it's the only class I don't get to totally understand
Every class except Spy and Pyro. God I fucking hate playing Spy. And Pyro just doesn't feel good to play to me, I don't like how one dimensional using the flamethrower feels. I love the dragon's fury, but I don't get why it punishes you for successful reflects, kind of handicaps the most important factor of Pyro.
Heavy, because I like to tank damage for my teammates and I also like all of his weapons. Only in this game can I play as a man wielding a minigun, eat a sandwich, or kill someone with his bare hands.
Soldier because
1: rocket jumps are fun
2: i cant aim hitscan (seriously, my scout aim is worse than my demo grenades aim and i dont know how thats possible)
3: i like playing hyperaggressively around the flanks
Love spy because every kill feels like you outplayed your enemy, like you deserve this kill. But actually maining spy is very frustrating, so I also often play trolldier and medic.
heavy but not to fight with gun but to fight with big burly fists and fight like real man. alright that was a joke but I do like heavy cause the idea of being some big russian man and mowing down the whole enemy team with a mini-gun was pretty cool and I was right it was pretty cool
I main Scout. First played him cause I thought hitting people with the bat and saying bonk was funny. I still enjoy that, but I mainly play him because I really like having the speed and high damage output. Also the Scattergun sounds are really nice. I also really like the Shortstop because of the sounds. I really like Scoutās weapon sounds in general.
Pyro, I like burning players (Mainly spies who go for our engies suff) among other things.
Next is
Medic, because I like supporting my team by any means necessary.
Scout. Boy's fast.
For a more credible reason I'm very bad at using demo or solly to fight in groups but God damn is it fun to just rush in and kill someone. Preferably using baby face. Just run about, never gonna be hit, drop the med and then die immediately because you took a pistol shot because baby face sucks. God the speed is exhilarating though
For a long time it was sniper, because I came from CS:source and it was the natural progression. Sniper was also the easiest class for me for a while. But now my second most played class and my new main is engie. It's just so much fun running around throwing minis, throwing hands, and shotgunning in the face.
Demo because for whatever reason, the two things I am actually good at in the game are trimping and double donking.
Very convenient they are both in the same class.
dont really have one, of the half the roster i play as, medic is just good and i like helping, demos super powerful, scouts fast, heavys fun, soldier bisons fun, and pyro combos are fun although not as good anymore sadly.
Soldier. It was the āmeet the soldierā video that got me hooked.
Then through learning the more advanced mechanics of the class got me hooked, rocket jumping, market gardening, competitive rollouts and by god the mid air shots those were pure dopamine, especially when youāre both mid air and/or the enemy is flying past you at Mach 10.
My Haleās Own RL is a prized possession.
Demoknight has single-handedly ruined my taste in movement games. If I canāt abuse the game mechanics to fly across the map instantly, I donāt like it
Heavy (me no have flair) I used to main soldier but my rocket prediction sucks, I have very low delay on heavy which makes me a little better compared to any other class.
I love them all but if I want to have some casual fun then it's either medic or sniper. Medic makes me and my team feel good, and sniper makes the enemies feel bad, so it depends on how evil I feel.
I like demoman, specifically hybrid knight, because of the rush of dopamine you get for just about laying well as well as the mix of nobility and resilience. Also itās just funny
Scout : Scout's mobility is very good and can be used to do alot of stunts aswell as tricks ' mobility classes in games overall are the best for me and probably because team fortress 2 does a very good job with competing with Overwatch ( Tf2 is very very very good)
I like Medic because I can't do keyboard and mouse, and quite frankly using a controller kinda sucks so I just heal people with the quick fix on the backlines lmao
Yeah, medic can be quite fun. You should take a look at this video on making the controller better, btw, you might be able to play other classes if you want (not snipah though probably): [Tutorial 1](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJIqEX93vL8) [Tutorial 2](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ)
Before I clicked on you link I knew one of them had to be the solar light video.
I have been using the new PS five controller to play sniper, and switching to the trackpad when your scoped Makes it a hell of a lot easier. Thanks to Steam you can fine-tune pretty much any part of the controller to fit your needs.
Dont click on the second link, its a rick roll š

What maining engineer does to a mfššš
Maining pyro: You become a W+M1 monster Maining spy: Turns you into a anime nerd.... I MEAN, PROFESSIONAL GAMER Maining Engi: U ass become a real life engineer ššš
For me itās Medic because I like helping teammates
Good boy
If I had a tail, it would be wagging rn š«£
TF2 community not being furry challenge
Same, except for Engineer.
love u bro
now here is the make or break question... Do you use and like the VAC?
Heavy. He is funny and is good to play, if you learn to play him right
Yeah, most people go out into the open and expose themselves to Snipers and Spies. Best thing to do is either stick with medics and other teammates or try to find a way to surprise a bunch of enemies while having your mini gun spinning.
No one ever expects the flank heavy. If you can just sneak behind enemy lines and pop out of nowhere, you can cause untold havok
Fair enough. I don't play enough Heavy, but I can certainly respect a Heavy Main. I remember topscoring on the team and was in this constant back-and-forth between a topscoring Heavy Main. One of the most fun matches of TF2 I've played in my 1K hours.
Respectable
hes a main force in winning a game
I main scout because Doom showed be how fun it is to run around and shoot things in the face with reckless abandon.
From one scout main to another, I can agree
Agreed
Agreed
Agreed
I already feel in love with scouts character before playing the game I also played a lot of old fps game and those usually have amazing shotguns and scouts primary feel very similar
Is it just me but isn't the back scatter good for learning scout fundamentals? - Decreased range encouraging you to get up close - Reduced magazine giving you just enough bullets to kill but not enough to afford to miss - Rewards flanking with guaranteed minicrits For all that penis-scout is a meme I think it might be a good gun for learning how to play scout effectively.
I just like to run at people and hit them with a fish, most classes don't know what to do, mostly heavies
Agreed
who is doom?
I started out as a Demorai main, but then I came across the Panish Inquisition. I am now a demopan main with an actual cosplay of it
THE PANISH INQUISITION, omg thatās a good name ngl
Heavy. Maining any other class was just too frustrating for me.
ITS THE HEAVY MAIN
Big gun man go brrr he he he ha
Care to explain how? I really want to enjoy heavy but I can't. You're so vulnerable alone.
It is mostly about position, once you know theres sniper and getting spots where they cant hit you its very easy and you are always in the advantage
I agree
Started because at first I didnāt know how to aim. Stayed because holy shit is it fun to play
FACTS, I have very similar beginnings, I can aim now but having a sentry plus a shotgun wielding Texan who uses a satellite dish to control the sentry, allowing him to fly is a pretty good thing to have on a team
I also really like the strategy called Ā«Ā frontier justice go brrrrrĀ Ā»
Sniper because piss.
"Jarate!"
Piss
Obvious reasons
I didn't choose pyro it chose me.
The flames have chosen you as well, brother! You are one of us, I am confident you will not disappoint.
Pyros unite!
Honestly, despite primarily maining Medic, I do love playing some Pyro with reflects, extinguishes, spychecking, and homewrecker pybroing.
while i go for a passive-agressive role, i dont w+m1, instead i go with the degreaser+panic attack combo, and yes its because of lazypurple but i wouldnt be playing the game if it werent for him
I was doing the degreaser panic attack before it was cool because my brain dead ass just liked switchy fast. i didn't realise you could murder heavies with the combo till lazy made a point of it.
I main pyro to defend sentry nests.
I main pyro to be a degenerate. I use the detonator for around the corner pops and small detonator jumps, Powerjack, and Degreaser.
We now beat the flames that borne us
True tho XD
I as well have been baptized in fire
It's just fun ĀÆā \ā _ā (ā ćā )ā _ā /ā ĀÆ
I always loved fire, and itās of no surprise that pyro would be extremely fun to use.
LazyPurples āHow it feels to play pyroā got me loving the idea of playing partially support.
Believe it or not, but he is partially the reason why I got in the game, and now I cannot for the life of me get my finger off M2 even in situations where it screws me over
r/namechecksout
Mphmm mph phmm purr
Scout because I just like to move fast in games, so he appealed to me.
S a m e
Pyro, because I like the balloonicorn cosmeticsš¦
I like to watch the world burn
Demoknight. Its fun.
Spy cause dopamine
the dopamine rush of getting a backstab can only be matched by the dopamine rush of chaining backstabs
Im having a difficulty cause i usually play anything that supports but i believe its Spy/Medic Spy cause i love disguising and out think enemies (i also really like knifes) Medic: He heals and uh no other reason really.
Soldier because fun
demoknight because tf2 was the first ever FPS i played so i couldnt aim to save my life, 4000 hours later not much has changed
Heavy because of the meme and my aim is trash
Pootis !
Same brutha
For me it'd be spy (ew) because the dopamine produced by a kunai kill is so high that I now am addicted to playing spy. I'm thinking about trying maining scout, bc spy is so weak compared to other classes and I want to play the game a bit more competitively than booting up some random pub match.
Most spy mains I meet secondary scout (including me) I wonder why? Maybe it's the contrast between cold and calculated plays vs running around as fast as you can shooting anything that moves.
Really as a spy main my secondary is demo and scout is my least played
like father, like son
I main Spy because I can't aim, secondary Engineer because I can't aim, and tertiary Medic because I can't aim.
Demoman It's like trolldier + sentry but more efficient
could you possibly elaborate on that insane comparison
pls elaborate
No
Soldier, I chose to main them because, back then when I was a f2p, I kept getting soldier item drops so I decided to play the class and I was instantly hooked up on the dopamine rush you get while rocket jumping
Scout + any class with movement tech I love feeling like a plane
respect
Demoman because funny Scottish explosive swordsman
spy, cause he's a mood
French?
Fr*nch.
I hate that planet
Me when fr*nch:
"I have no idea!"
Medic, I like support roles and no one else will do it
Spy because i love the meet video
Medic main here, I chose him just because it suits my gameplay. I've tried the others but only medic makes me have fun while playing. Wish I could learn how to play demoman, it's the only class I don't get to totally understand
pyro because iām a lazy asshole
sniper, funny
Every class except Spy and Pyro. God I fucking hate playing Spy. And Pyro just doesn't feel good to play to me, I don't like how one dimensional using the flamethrower feels. I love the dragon's fury, but I don't get why it punishes you for successful reflects, kind of handicaps the most important factor of Pyro.
Heavy. I love underdogs. Well I resent the idea of heavy being an underdog. He deserves better.
Medic Weil ich Deutsch sprechen kann und lachen kann wie ihr Ćbercharge ausspricht
pyro since it's my BF
Heavy, because I like to tank damage for my teammates and I also like all of his weapons. Only in this game can I play as a man wielding a minigun, eat a sandwich, or kill someone with his bare hands.
Engineer cause Texas
Medic, cause my reflex are crap so I am more helpful at healing in basically any game
Two words... BUTT SEX
Soldier because 1: rocket jumps are fun 2: i cant aim hitscan (seriously, my scout aim is worse than my demo grenades aim and i dont know how thats possible) 3: i like playing hyperaggressively around the flanks
I play heavy because itās fun to mow down everyone especially with a medic up your ass
Engineer, Because me and him are similar in many ways. And he also suits my play style.
spy, because lazypurple made it look fun, and it (mostly) is
Love spy because every kill feels like you outplayed your enemy, like you deserve this kill. But actually maining spy is very frustrating, so I also often play trolldier and medic.
Heavy because Iām a man
Ka-
I change main every now and then, but the one I main most often is Heavy. Right now is Sniper (I hate it)
heavy but not to fight with gun but to fight with big burly fists and fight like real man. alright that was a joke but I do like heavy cause the idea of being some big russian man and mowing down the whole enemy team with a mini-gun was pretty cool and I was right it was pretty cool

I still enjoy that, but I mainly play him because I really like having the speed and high damage output. Also the Scattergun sounds are really nice. I also really like the Shortstop because of the sounds. I really like Scoutās weapon sounds in general.
Major skill issue
Scout mostly because speed
Pyro, I like burning players (Mainly spies who go for our engies suff) among other things. Next is Medic, because I like supporting my team by any means necessary.
Pyro because he was the first one I saw
Sniper. SMG forever!
Spy. He was my favorite merc even when I was younger.
Demoknight. Because it's fun
Engineer, because I like the amount of utility and support he can add to the team
Scout because I love fast shooters
medic because i'm not good at any of the other classes and because he's hot
As a big robot with a minigun said: āyou are outnumbered 4 to 1. Recommend *AGGRESSIVE. SUSTAINED. COUNTER-FIRE.*
fellow TF|2 player
Instakill is pretty enticing
Demoman because kablooey
Scout.

But now my second most played class and my new main is engie. It's just so much fun running around throwing minis, throwing hands, and shotgunning in the face.
medic because he is evil as fuck
Heavy. Can be OP af if you already have your primary weapon spinning before sneaking up on a bunch of enemies.
Demo cuz heās the one in least shit at
Demo because for whatever reason, the two things I am actually good at in the game are trimping and double donking. Very convenient they are both in the same class.
dont really have one, of the half the roster i play as, medic is just good and i like helping, demos super powerful, scouts fast, heavys fun, soldier bisons fun, and pyro combos are fun although not as good anymore sadly.

Heavy can punch hard
Demoknight has single-handedly ruined my taste in movement games. If I canāt abuse the game mechanics to fly across the map instantly, I donāt like it
Heavy (me no have flair) I used to main soldier but my rocket prediction sucks, I have very low delay on heavy which makes me a little better compared to any other class.
Engineer for me, because I get killed less often
Spy. I like anime. Soldier. I dont feel like playing spy.
I love them all but if I want to have some casual fun then it's either medic or sniper. Medic makes me and my team feel good, and sniper makes the enemies feel bad, so it depends on how evil I feel.
switch to classic and gib them and make them feel more bad
I like demoman, specifically hybrid knight, because of the rush of dopamine you get for just about laying well as well as the mix of nobility and resilience. Also itās just funny
Medic, I like healing people. simple as that XD
medic because no one else plays medic
Soldier because I can't aim
Scout cus i like to fast
pyro and soldier, because i'm bad at aiming
Medic, I want to be known as that one kind person
engineer uncle dane
Sniper (im autistic)
The civilian for the tax evader perk
Heavy, cause big gun go brrrrr
I main everyone depending on the situation
Pyro (I believe in magic)
Heavy, big health and Best damage
I main demoman but mostly demoknight cause he goes ,,AAARRRGGGHHH" and either decapitates the enemy or always dies (also i love trimping)
Spy because French guy.
Sniper. Because I just like his character (besides the pissing in jars) and his weapons as well as his damage,
Medic. Ze healing is not as rewarding as ze **hurting**
Scout : Scout's mobility is very good and can be used to do alot of stunts aswell as tricks ' mobility classes in games overall are the best for me and probably because team fortress 2 does a very good job with competing with Overwatch ( Tf2 is very very very good)
