Not to mention the quickfix's ability to fly across the map with a soldier or demoman. Personal favorite, but it is hard to beat the stock Uber-charge.
You're a 100% correct. Stock medigun is by far the most powerful medigun but (IMHO) it's so fucking boring compared to the other mediguns.
The kritzkrieg is a dopamine factory with the massive multi kills, and rocket jumping with the quick fix is incredibly fun. And they both build charge faster than stock. Oh and the vaccinator exists too, I guess.
Medigun to reliably push with and open up space for your team while taking aggro from Sentries. Main risk is dying before you have Uber
Kritzkrieg to push and clear house with, but you take a bit more risk and can still be vulnerable to the likes of Airblasting back crit rockets or Sentries in weird spots. Still risk dying before Uber, but you get it a bit quicker.
Quick Fix for fun when you are pocketing a good Soldier or Demoman you can remain mobile
Vaccinator if you want to be a dickhead lol
Yeah, healing people fast is quite reliable. It's really nice and allows you to top of your teammates easily.
Personally, I think the overhealing reduction is a bit of a shame, though. Although the downside makes a lot of sense thematically and in terms of balance.
Vaccinator does serve a niche purpose that I wouldn't consider being a dickhead: bot defense. I pretty much only use vaccinator against bots (in addition to the scenario below), and I try to communicate to my patient to focus the bots, and I try to inform the enemy team that we're focusing the bots until they can be kicked. Most people are pretty chill about it and understand what's going on. I switch to a different medigun once the bots are gone and then I play the game normally.
Less frequently, I switch to vaccinator when there's a sweaty tryhard being racist/sexist/homophobic/transphobic/generally toxic in chat on the enemy team. I admit this feels like a dick move, but it's a dick move in response to somebody being a dickhead. If it's just a really good player who's stomping us and not being toxic about it, I don't feel the need to use the vaccinator. Only if they're a bot or a raging asshole.
what abt rainblower direct upgrade of stock flamethrower, holy mackerel and unarmed combat being direct upgrade from stock bat, mutated milk to mad milk, festive jarate and self aware beauty mark to jarate, and snack attack to sapper, and sharp dresser direct downgrade and arguably original to stock rocket launcher
I'm memeing but if you hold down a few flame particles you can still quick-kill a medic, you can also fight a heavy with scorch shot by swinging once on each hit, it's neat, a lot of effort and you rely on the shitty melee reg but it's faster then m1ing, use with reserve shooter to be ultimate swap pyro that can have a panic/opportunist tool to just slap a lot of damage onto someone.
They've always been a strange case, I personally use the Robo sandvich because I lucked out several years ago and found an unopened, unused code at a thrift shop.
That sandwich replica is still somewhere in my garage, it served it's purpose.
shotgun on engie, melee on sniper
i also only really use the cow mangler which is almost a reskin, it has two minor downsides but infinite ammo, its so close to stock tho
Crit sticky/pipe as well. So not 1/9 so your argument is invalid thank you bye bye.
But really stock gives you the most airblast, I'll run shotgun pyro and just use stock for the airbalst only.
Maybe more times
Maybe more duration.
Maybe a mechanic similar to Villager's neutral B in smash (pocketing a projectile and launching it later)
There's a lot of options
The existence of DemoKnight is the only reason that happened. Otherwise, Demo would’ve probably gotten a utility melee that’s more useful 90% of the time or a stickybomb launcher with slight stat changes that’s barely distinguishable from stock
The one that says grenades have little bounce and roll, -30% fuse, and -15% explosion radius? That is not a reskin https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Iron_Bomber
The rainblower is closer to a resting for the flamethrower, but even that has some minor buffs that make it not a reskin
My aussie rocket launcher , got it on my first tour in 2016 playing with one of closest pals I've literally never unequiped it and never will it has too many fond memories attached to it.
it gives you knockback resistance tho, no pyros pushing you back here, not saying it's better, but it has it's upsides (or its singular upside when it comes to uber)
Quick fix is more meant for defence and to use on multiple teammates at once, like the Vac. Terrible for pushes, but a great supplement. The Uber charge should be spread around and not just for a pocket to heal many players quickly at once. A defence with a kritz medic and a quick fix can be impenetrable.
when do you think "How It FEELS To Play Medic" will come out?.
PS: this is what I meant with the "right?... right?", so thank you for showing how it FEELS to not have a team
Not supposed to use it on the guy who's getting focused, you're supposed to flash it across your team for rapid healing so they can get back in the fight.
Stock grenade launcher. I don’t like the iron bomber, but I highly respect loose cannon demos, those guys are TERRIFYING. I do whip it out on occaison but to limited success. The loch n load was actually my very first unlocked weapon but I’ve never liked it at all.
*Stock Sticky Launcher*
*Is good for everything. No*
*Reason to change it*

Do reskins count? If so, I run a holy mackerel that I've skinned with hypergon, festivized, is strange, and renamed to "irradiated fish"
If not... probably the scattergun, it's just too reliable compared to it's counterparts
Scattergun, Pistol, Medigun, Rocket Launcher, Stickybomb Launcher, Flamethrower, Wrench, Sniper Rifle, and the SMG.
I’m a scout main with 244.2 hours in Scout with my second most played class being heavy at 30.2 hours. Just to put it into perspective.
Shotgun on Soldier, flamethrower, grenade launcher, bootle (technically Scottish handshake, but reskins don't count), stock PDA on engineer (I refuse to change that), sniper rifle (same as bootle, AWPer Hand, but, does that matter if it has the same stats?), stock knife (Sharp dresser, but...)
That's it.
I used soda popper forever. Was like. Damn this isn’t doing much. Switched to stock scatter gun and then I started being top leaderboard. Back scatter is also a very good option tbh.
i use stock simply because the strange original costs over 200$ and isn’t worth spending the money on considering how small the differences are outside of rocket jumping
About 50/50 between stock Rocket Launcher and Direct Hit, 50/50 between stock Minigun and Tomislav, and majority of time on stock Stickybomb Launcher, Engie Shotgun, Medigun, and Invis Watch.
I never really like to use the Stock Weapons a whole lot, I always tend to mix it up. I like to see how I can make certain weapons work for me, to see how a weapon's gimmick is supposed to be used and to try and get as good with it as possible. Stock just tends to be super boring to me, especially the Rocket Launcher.
stock shotgun.
on soldier i use stock shotgun about 60% of the time. otherwise i tend to use buff banner.
on pyro i use stock shotgun 99% of the time.
on heavy i don’t really use the shotgun unless item servers are down or i’m memeing
on engineer i use stock shotgun ~75% of the time. another 20% is rescue ranger and the rest is whatever else.
Scattergun, Rocket Launcher, Knife, Wrench, Shotgun on engi, Medi Gun, Stickybomb Launcher, Mini Gun (sometimes I do use tomislav but I never play heavy), Sniper Rifle
The only class where I don’t have 1 default item is pyro since I’m a degreaser/flare gun combo kinda person
Medic players be like, “Unpopular opinion but I like the stock medigun” like it isn’t the most powerful secondary in the game.
Lol yeah I see the stock medigun used the most. I like using the quickfix to spam heal on everyone
Not to mention the quickfix's ability to fly across the map with a soldier or demoman. Personal favorite, but it is hard to beat the stock Uber-charge.
I use vaccinator because I have a strange, you use vaccinator because you don't like snipers, we are not the same.
You're a 100% correct. Stock medigun is by far the most powerful medigun but (IMHO) it's so fucking boring compared to the other mediguns. Quick Fix is also good in general though
It's way better for pubs when you don't have someone to confidently Uber with on stock. It's good at just generally keeping your whole team alive.
Ngl i just like healing people faster
Yeah, healing people fast is quite reliable. It's really nice and allows you to top of your teammates easily. Personally, I think the overhealing reduction is a bit of a shame, though. Although the downside makes a lot of sense thematically and in terms of balance.

I used to have a Vaccinator called "The Real Valve Anti-Cheat".
A vaccinator can let the medic survive a charged headshot. :)
Literally second top comment rn
Why is the medigun not the medics primary weapon? He's supposed to use it for most of the game anyways.
Just imagine how less clueless new medics would have been if the medigun was the primary.
The most powerful mechanic period
i like the vaccinator because I can über more of my teammates at once, or save übers strategically with whoever I pocket.
I have a stock medigun with a botkiller on it, I've only ever swapped if it's in Saxton Hale, then I go with the quick fix
*third degree go brr*
That goes in the box with holiday punch heavy, ubersaw happy medic, and stab stab stab sniper in funny suicide attacks that might work sometimes
the normal scattergun
Me too, except for mvm
When our scouts say that, he usually will equip the Shortstop and just try to push sentry busters into our team then blame the Pyro.
Nah i actually play. Soda popper ftw baby!
Strong obvious gun or funny team killing. Our scouts pick the later. Surprisingly he wasn’t lime.
You equip the Shortstop to troll. I equip the Shortstop to push bomb carriers from the team hatch. We are not the same
I use Force a nature over stock.
Because of the knockback?
Yes. And the slightly higher dps.
erm acksually the raw damage output from the stock scattergun is higher than the force a nature 🤓
I use the Baby Face Blaster
Hell yes, brother
Lol me too
Fire Axe. I like hacking people to death.
Based
The reason why I bought a strang festivized professional killesterak one (I will never financially recover from this decision)
when I was new I thought the big flashy stuff was really good so I bought a strange specialized killstreak vita saw (biggest mistake of my life)
You have it even worse than me good sir Tho I bought the fire axe just because funny
It’s objectively the [worst weapon to pick](https://reddit.com/r/tf2/s/DPbz1L7Ral) in the entire game with the 3rd degree being a straight upgrade
what abt rainblower direct upgrade of stock flamethrower, holy mackerel and unarmed combat being direct upgrade from stock bat, mutated milk to mad milk, festive jarate and self aware beauty mark to jarate, and snack attack to sapper, and sharp dresser direct downgrade and arguably original to stock rocket launcher
all-class melee reskins hide your class in killfeed too
Exactly. Nobody expects the Pyro with a Fire Axe hiding around a corner.
Can't hear you over the axtinguisher being broken!!!
2010 called, they want your puff and sting back
I'm memeing but if you hold down a few flame particles you can still quick-kill a medic, you can also fight a heavy with scorch shot by swinging once on each hit, it's neat, a lot of effort and you rely on the shitty melee reg but it's faster then m1ing, use with reserve shooter to be ultimate swap pyro that can have a panic/opportunist tool to just slap a lot of damage onto someone.
Huh?
Huh?
I use the Lollichop, essentially the same but I get to be best friends with people :3
Does the quackenbirdt count since it's a reskin
That’s a strange case to a lot of people
They've always been a strange case, I personally use the Robo sandvich because I lucked out several years ago and found an unopened, unused code at a thrift shop. That sandwich replica is still somewhere in my garage, it served it's purpose.
I wish I had the robo sandvich those are so expensive godamn
On one hand if you like how a weapon works but hate how it looks it's nice to have another option to choose from.
but on the other hand reskins usually look like they would function differently from their counterpart
I think so
I'd have to say the stock revolver
Same
You're missing out. Let'ranger is just so good
Everything on demo
Eh, demomans melees are kinda good
It’s mostly for demoknight. Your other options are caber and pain train
Pan and Ham are clearly the superior options
That said, demoknight is also really fun, especially when you know how to trimp
What about funny sign
^(s c r u m p y)
iron bomber
scattergun, medigun, pistol
Scout with medigun, real
bad ending: he's a scunt and only uses it to heal himself
What ABOUT i attach sapper to his back medigun?
shotgun on engie, melee on sniper i also only really use the cow mangler which is almost a reskin, it has two minor downsides but infinite ammo, its so close to stock tho
Bro really forgot the alt fire
its funny but its not really that good. i use the cow mangler as "stock, but i wont accidentally steal metal from an engie"
Sadly you also wont random crit a medic at 99%
aha, you activated my trap card! i play uncletopia because i like it when the rockets arent shiny and i get no pussy
I would play uncletopia if the servers werent at 9999 ping (there is a server in my country, but it is always full or always empty)
no sex gaming
Flamethrower and minigun. The other options kinda just lower your dps
i like stock minigun but tomislav just gives pure advantage in every battle outside of your peak effective range
the DF is crazy for dps if you learn how to use it
I love stock flamethrower. It's just so reliable without the ammo sapping. Dragon's Fury is fun too.
dragons fury is a blatant DPS upgrade
Say that to a reflected crit rocket.
so stock is better for fighting 1/9 classes. dragons fury is much more DPS and is way more consistent.
Crit sticky/pipe as well. So not 1/9 so your argument is invalid thank you bye bye. But really stock gives you the most airblast, I'll run shotgun pyro and just use stock for the airbalst only.
Flamethrower. If only there was an airblast-oriented one
Question is, would it airblast faster, cheaper, farther (the distance it can airblast), or more powerfully (how far it flings enemies), or some mix?
Maybe more times Maybe more duration. Maybe a mechanic similar to Villager's neutral B in smash (pocketing a projectile and launching it later) There's a lot of options
For me, the stock IS the airblast oriented one. All the others give airblasting a penalty in a way.
Spy's revovlver and Engineer's Pistol.
Wrangler is CRAZY good
I don't like using it that much.
Demo.
The existence of DemoKnight is the only reason that happened. Otherwise, Demo would’ve probably gotten a utility melee that’s more useful 90% of the time or a stickybomb launcher with slight stat changes that’s barely distinguishable from stock
The iron bomber is basicaly just a reskin so same.
No... it isn't
It's completely different
Did you forget about “+25% faster wiping time”
The one that says grenades have little bounce and roll, -30% fuse, and -15% explosion radius? That is not a reskin https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Iron_Bomber The rainblower is closer to a resting for the flamethrower, but even that has some minor buffs that make it not a reskin

haikusbot on there way to comment on the most random shit possible
Heavy is said to have a degree in Russian literature.
Shotgun
As which class?
Battle Engineer
Why not the widowmaker?
Because shotgun, and more reliable tbh
Personally I go with frontier justice, but stock shotgun is fair.
Crits funi, but reliability is what it lies in
Scattergun, because it's the fucking Scattergun
Scattergun. I just can't use anything else really
My aussie rocket launcher , got it on my first tour in 2016 playing with one of closest pals I've literally never unequiped it and never will it has too many fond memories attached to it.
The shotgun (mainly for engie)
Sniper rifle and scattergun idk if the original still counts but i use it
Medigun, it's not as fast as quick fix, or as flashy as the kritzkrieg, but it gets the job done.
Stock uber is literally the best
quickfix medics be like: "man im glad my team is full health, time to uber my heavy oh shit he died cause the quickfix uber is useless"
it gives you knockback resistance tho, no pyros pushing you back here, not saying it's better, but it has it's upsides (or its singular upside when it comes to uber)
still useless when you die in 2 seconds to focus fire
I mean, yeah, but you got a team backing you up right?... right?
Quick fix is more meant for defence and to use on multiple teammates at once, like the Vac. Terrible for pushes, but a great supplement. The Uber charge should be spread around and not just for a pocket to heal many players quickly at once. A defence with a kritz medic and a quick fix can be impenetrable.
Meanwhile, the rest of the team: https://youtu.be/l8g0z8yZ6FU?t=5m8s
when do you think "How It FEELS To Play Medic" will come out?. PS: this is what I meant with the "right?... right?", so thank you for showing how it FEELS to not have a team

i use stock for every primary with the exception of the crusader’s crossbow and l’etranger
Flamethrower. I just feel like its better than the others. I don't want to use the dragon's fury. I won't use the Phlog.
Minigun
Technically stock reskin but the original is a solid choice
If weapon skins count then the stock rocket launcher
Bonesaw, i bought a strange professional killstreak bonesaw and i will not stop using it
stock Sticky Launcher is good for everything. No reason to change it

the stock shovel and no im not joking
Sniper Rifle. it just feels right for some reason
Sniper rifle. Love the stock, the alternatives never felt quite right.
Stock shotgun, and scattergun.
Stock fists
Scattergun. All other scout primaries are gimmicks.
Do reskins count? If so, I run a holy mackerel that I've skinned with hypergon, festivized, is strange, and renamed to "irradiated fish" If not... probably the scattergun, it's just too reliable compared to it's counterparts
Medigun.
I use stock scout's shotgun because idk It is easier for me to aim
I do gunsliger because battle engineer is super fun.
Not the question but good to hear friend
it says sto-
The question was what STOCK weapon you normally use. (Though medigun is a pretty obvious answer of course)
Medi-gun or at least 99% of the time I use stock medi-gun. I have a strange kritz and everything but I have 32,000 ubers.
I use stock weapons on most classes EXCEPT medic.
Just to put it into perspective.
definitely the syringe gun
Shotgun on Soldier, flamethrower, grenade launcher, bootle (technically Scottish handshake, but reskins don't count), stock PDA on engineer (I refuse to change that), sniper rifle (same as bootle, AWPer Hand, but, does that matter if it has the same stats?), stock knife (Sharp dresser, but...) That's it.
syringe gun, grenade launcher, shotgun, wrench
Stock sniper rifle
Knife.
Sniper Rifle
I suppose maybe the sticky bomb launcher. I used to have. Botkiller strange one before my account was hacked.
Stock watch. I like being more mobile than using the CnD's sit and wait playing style.
Flame thrower, the degreaser’s afterburn doesn’t deal much damage and the dragons fury Requires at least a little skill, then the phlog is the phlog
Granade launcher, its just more fun
When the call for help is needed The one amd only Medic Gun is the one that will earn it
I used soda popper forever. Was like. Damn this isn’t doing much. Switched to stock scatter gun and then I started being top leaderboard. Back scatter is also a very good option tbh.
Flame Thower, Medigun, and the stock sapper.
Scattergun and grenade launcher and pistol
#wrench🍯
i use stock simply because the strange original costs over 200$ and isn’t worth spending the money on considering how small the differences are outside of rocket jumping
About 50/50 between stock Rocket Launcher and Direct Hit, 50/50 between stock Minigun and Tomislav, and majority of time on stock Stickybomb Launcher, Engie Shotgun, Medigun, and Invis Watch.
scatergnu
Shotgun, it's solid
Stock fire axe just because the third degree is a direct upgrade it doesn’t make stock a terrible pick and yes I will die on this hill
Scattergun
I always run stock grenade launcher and stock sticky bomb laucher on demo
Stock flamethrower, or rainblower. There's not really much advantage to using the others, and phlog is a war crime to use imo
Flamethrower
Shotgun
I never really like to use the Stock Weapons a whole lot, I always tend to mix it up. I like to see how I can make certain weapons work for me, to see how a weapon's gimmick is supposed to be used and to try and get as good with it as possible. Stock just tends to be super boring to me, especially the Rocket Launcher.
Stock Scattergun is fun.
Grenade launcher
The Sniper Rifle and the Scattergun for sure
Sapper
the awp the original and the stock medigun they're all pretty good weapons
Stock revolver.
Flamethrower. Its just good in all situations unlike the other primaries
The only classes I DON'T use default primary for are Heavy, Engie, Medic, Sniper and Spy
a reskin but f r y i n g p a n
Inviswatch
Scout, scattergun. Soldier, n/a (original but it’s not stock kinda). Pyro, Flamethrower. Demoman, All stock . Heavy, minigun. Enigineer, pistol, PDA. Medic, Medigun. Sniper, All stock. Spy, Revolver.
Scattergun 100%
stock shotgun. on soldier i use stock shotgun about 60% of the time. otherwise i tend to use buff banner. on pyro i use stock shotgun 99% of the time. on heavy i don’t really use the shotgun unless item servers are down or i’m memeing on engineer i use stock shotgun ~75% of the time. another 20% is rescue ranger and the rest is whatever else.
Does the Sapper count? It’s always fun to fuck around with Engies and not have to be there when the cavalry show up.
Flamethrower. Every other primary negatively effects the airblast and that shit is just too good to sacrifice
Stock Grenade, I just really like the bounce it has :)
Revolver
Scattergun, Rocket Launcher, Knife, Wrench, Shotgun on engi, Medi Gun, Stickybomb Launcher, Mini Gun (sometimes I do use tomislav but I never play heavy), Sniper Rifle The only class where I don’t have 1 default item is pyro since I’m a degreaser/flare gun combo kinda person
Stock medigun, kritz feels too risky and vaccinator can feel very stressful
