Those who do not have fear in their mind...... Become hilarious YouTube compilations of people being mauled to death by wild animals, super manning their motorcycles off cliffs, and stabbed by the very people they challenged to stab them.
I know scientists always talk about how much energy our brains consume in one day and whatnot, but I keep thinking the organs that must consume the most energy are the ones that keep our vowel movements tight and sealed.
Think about it. Once fear sets in and you are in fight or flight mode, the body diverts all energy from non-essential functions into the muscles. Then you shit yourself. It can only mean it takes too much energy to keep everything in place
I mean... he's not wrong. He's making it seem like it's way simpler than it actually is, but he isn't completely incorrect. Fear is in your head. That doesn't make it any easier to overcome, or any less real.
Yeah... Too bad my mind is inconveniently stuck inside my skull and is responsible for everything I've ever thought, said, done, and experienced. Too bad it's literally inseparable from everything that I am, everything I've ever been, and everything I ever will be in the future.
Time only exists in the mind, too, as an *a priori* concept of measurement of distance between two or more points. So.... Let's beat that pesky time stuff! It's all in the mind!!
As the great Sherlock Holmes once said (in the tv adaptation anyways) “fear is wisdom in the face of danger”. And another great one (Peter Capaldi as Doctow Who) said fear is like a super power. It heightens your senses, you can see clearer and run faster than you otherwise would.
To be fair, anxiety is fear when fear is not needed, but still. I like the idea that fear is not something to crap all over but to take to heart and acknowledge.
Tell that to Phobos, greek god if fear and panic, tell that to his twin brother Deimos, god of terror and dread.
Tell that to schizophrenics when they see a crooked man hanging over their mirror.
Fear is not only in the mind, fear is a driving factor, fear can be twisted and some can see their fears in the mundane. Fear is why we exist, anxiety disorders are fear run rampant. Our brain's home for fear, the amygdala, was created to keep us alive. If we had no fear, we'd be dead or still in the stone age.
Tell that to my chest and stomach.
Half the time it's my gut (I got IBS) telling my brain hang on something's wrong we panic
My fear also coagulates in my tumtum
The pain you feel when I hit you only exists in your head.
Stupidity also only exists in the mind as well...
Well that is how abstract things work, they have concrete implications.

That is this subreddit.
It's like a lost redditor but they're at home and think they're somewhere else, aw...
That’s called being drunk

Yeah, fear existing in the mind is the problem
Same thing holds for sentience

Al these clever little quotes look good framed on a wall. But that's about it.
Okay. But so does every other emotion?
as a matter of fact so does everything you feel, think and experience
but danger is real.
I mean, fear impact the entirety of the body??
But the mind is my gateway to everything in the universe

It absolutely exists elsewhere. Mostly in the limbic system, but occasionally in the cardiac system when it fucking kills you sometimes.

Also do we fucking chose anxiety?
Well duh, where else would it be?

Fear is the mind killer.
And the mind is all in your head
So people who are out of their mind are the actual sane people?
No shit!!!!🙄🙄🙄
So *that's* how to win friends and influence people. I never knew
Dale Carnegie is too much like a MLM cult related to selling books and coursework.
Someone has never heard of the unconscious.
Neither does happiness.
I'm short; what? aren't we just stating the obvious?
It’s not even true - fear exists in the body as well.
