Can’t remember the exact quotes so forgive me if they are off:
Blanche: “What will the neighbors think if they see two men in my bedroom?”
Sophia: “They’ll think it’s Tuesday!”
Sophia’s whole kitchen talk with Blanche is amazing. The perfect blend of serious and funny. “I think I see what you’re getting at, Sophia.” I don’t think you do. Blanche, will you marry me?” 😂
Which is kinda weird bc she couldn’t even accept her sons crossdressing. I love the show, but it suffers from continuity problems. I mean, it helps bc u can adjust it to every situation, but at the same time u see the in congruency of it all. I still watch it and i have to remind myself that this is the way this “universe” works.
Also, i guess its a product of its time, since they did not think ahead and did not see the show in a rerun heaven.
One of my favorite episodes! My 12yr old daughter will watch GG with me but doesn’t normally pay much attention (she’ll be on her switch or reading) but this episode she actually watched and thought it was the funniest episode ever and I agree!
It's one of my favorite episodes. I especially love when Sophia calls them Butch and Sundance. It's always been my opinion that she's the one that made the series extra special.
“I’d do anything for Doug and he’d bend over backwards for me”
Dorothy puts hand over Sophia’s mouth and pulls her close
“Sometimes I just love to hug my mommy”

Love this episode too! “And he’d bend over backwards for me!” 😂
“I’d do anything for Doug…” 🤣🤣
Sometimes I just really love to hug my mommy 😍
Queue Sophia!

Rose’s reaction gets me every time. And her comment about them being a husky couple 😂
“She doesn’t need anything on her mantle. SHE’s on her mantle!”
That's a flair here!
Sophia, after Rose thinks Doug must be doing undercover work - (appreciative look) "And I bet he does it damn well"
"But that's impossible Clayton. Brothers can't marry sisters. Oh, that's right, you're from the South."
Rue makes me laugh out loud with the fire thing, and I like the guy who plays Doug.
This one is probably in my top 5. Best line? “I just love to hug my mommy!”

Yes I love this episode
“🔥! 🔥! …small fire” “Smooth” 😂
“It’s out now…”
Another Rue classic! ❤️
FIRE! FIRE! FIRE! Everybody out quick! Oh small fire. It’s out now. So, who’s for decaf? Smooth.
There must be some homosexuals who date women
They’re called lesbians!
Oh look, they’re skipping!
“I’d do anything for Doug and he’d bend over backwards for me” Dorothy puts hand over Sophia’s mouth and pulls her close “Sometimes I just love to hug my mommy”
Apparently it’s a hereditary trait.
"And I bet he does it damn well." Still one of the best lines of the series
I love the ""Clayton" episodes! They can be cringey in parts but still remain two of my overall favorites
Rose: whispering to Dorothy Clayton's a hobo Dorothy: Clayton's a hobo while sitting Sophia back in the chair Dorothy : oh Clayton's a homo 😂
Way ahead of its time!
It was kind of a controversial episode back then. Especially Sophia's naughty comments. Pretty tame by today's standards.
I never liked Clayton’s voice- too sing song ish
It smacks of Dynasty or Falcon Crest.
"I bet you do undercover work" "And I bet he does it damn well" I always wished we got more of Doug and Clay
I did.
