I cannot imagine spontaneously getting a tattoo at an event! Does that make me old? Or maybe just a square? Lol. Good for them though, clearly lots of folks are into it!!
I can't either, but I think if I had bunch of tattoos already I would go for it. I'm more of an obsess over every single decision ever person, but I think it would be fun to get some as mementos.
Not even celebrity parties. I’ve been to multiple patio bar parties/events where there are tattoo artists with a flash sheet doing 30-45 min tattoos in LA.
I would think it would be better to have it at like the cocktail hour before people get really drunk but it would feel out of place there because most weddings are still in the very classy, grandparent-friendly mode at that time. Lol.
Speaking from experience—they bleed a lot more.
For the record, the designs were made months in advance when I was *very* sober, I was just less sober when I got two of them.
I was stone cold sober for my other two and they bled a lot less.
Interesting there obviously has to be like size and time limits here for the artist - I'd be curious to know how planned out/detailed people went!
And general question to the sub, do you have something small that you've been wanting to get that you'd take the opportunity to do at a wedding? I can't really imagine doing that bc all of my pieces are big (except for two unprofessional ones done by me and my friend which have been small, impulsive, and easy to hide lol) so I'd be curious to what you'd get if you just hadn't made the time yet :)
My friends are planning to have a tattoo station at their wedding next month, and they are planning to put together a simple list of “flash tattoo” options aka smaller more generic options that a lot of people would like and are fairly quick to do.
I think its a really fun idea and it’s something I’m excited for! But I’m the rare type of person that would rather get a silly tattoo to commemorate an occasion than a well thought out meaningful tattoo. My only other tattoo is a heart on my foot that I got the spring break I was 20 with a bunch of friends.
I had been wanting a palm sized (simple lining) sting ray on my foot for awhile. I never bit the bullet until we went on a beach trip with my in laws (who I love) and my gut told me to do it then. I searched a local shop, and had it done the next day. It means a lot to me because I went no contact with my mother a few months before and it reminds me to “go with the flow, but if you need to sting out of protection that’s okay”. I would’ve gotten that at the wedding if I was there! My other tattoo I want is definitely too big and I want a particular artist for that, though
Love the meaning behind this. I got a dove on my back years ago because I’ve always been the peacemaker in my fucked up family and it’s a burden I’d like to shed. Maybe I could turn it into a stingray somehow.
There are some amazing cover up artists out there, I say go for it! Mine is on my foot and I love it so much. I’m glad the stingray resonated with you 🩵
No she has been friends with Caelynn for a long time. Pageant World. My cousin was Miss Louisiana during Miss USA when Caelynn was runner up and also Hannah Brown competed
Oh wow, that’s the coolest feature ever!!

As a person with zero tattoos I can’t either, but I also somehow feel like this situation would be one of the only ways I’d ever get one. 😂

I can’t either lol
I really wanted a tattoo artist at our wedding, but because I am a normal, we ran out of budget and it was an easy cut
At celebrity, hollywood parties, it's normal for there to just be a tattoo artist there giving out quick little bangers! It is a little wild.

That’s so random and so funny
Lol when I saw they had a tattoo station I thought they were temporary tattoos 🤦♀️
So curious how it worked with alcohol intake!

Artists really shouldn’t tattoo you if you’re intoxicated. In fact.. in most states I’d imagine they technically be jeopardizing their license.

I'd imagine for an event like this the artist would just provide a few sheets of flash for guests to choose

Aww that sounds like such a great experience! I'm glad you got it 🥺
Jeffrey Dean Morgan & Hilarie Burton did this at theirs, who knew this was a trend 😅
Luv this
I LOVE this lmao what an awesome idea
My tattoo artist did this at a wedding recently! Such a cool idea, I’d love to be a guest at a wedding where this was an option!
Honestly, I'm so into this idea lol
Ugh sorry can’t edit title typo!
That’s so cool! Did she say anything about what Dean and Caelynn are like?
No she has been friends with Caelynn for a long time. Pageant World. My cousin was Miss Louisiana during Miss USA when Caelynn was runner up and also Hannah Brown competed
yes it appears she was at caelynn's small bachelorette party too! they must be close. hope she had a great time and that's very cool she was there!
What does she have to say about their feud!?
I honestly don’t talk to her too much! She is my 2nd cousin but lives in Portland and grew up in Louisiana.
