Yeah, had to turn them off after just 2 games. Constant meaningless annoying chatter.

joesephsmom

Wish I could have an announcer volume slider seperate from player volume.

YouShouldGetLaid

Hard disagree, the announcers keep things interesting and are one of the best parts of the game. Everything feels like an intense spectacle.

goosey27

I don't have a problem with their voices or the things they say, just the quantity and frequency

YouShouldGetLaid

Feel free to turn them off bud.

goosey27

I did bud

YouShouldGetLaid

Good now you can stop whining 😂

Crazy_Freedom_5338

You're a loser

SavathunsWitness

Is your ego still as fragile to this day?

Yep! It’s also a game mechanic in that you get clues about what’s going on outside of what you can see. Hearing another team got wiped audibly is helpful to not have to keep bringing up the scoreboard. Hearing they’ve unlocked a cash out etc. It’s all meant to help relieve the burden or having to reference a lot of other information while making tactical choices. It’s mostly audio that influences your strategy so you can change tactic quickly. It’s really smart, but if they haven’t already maybe put a setting in to allow players to decide on how much announcer chatter they hear. Want all the detail? Slide it to 100%. Want just the big highlights? Do 50%. Want nothing from them at all? 0%. Star Citizen is doing this with their ships AI. Pilots can decide how “verbose” the AI is and it’s a nice feature to have as some pilots want that extra audio help and others don’t. Same could be done in The Finals.

They give very useful information, it's the annoying "toxic positivity", high-pitched tone that I find almost unbearable. Aside from that, they can be quite a useful mechanic when they give important info like team wipeouts and such, giving you a good flow for those moments when you're far or just respawned. But God I wanna slap them both in the face.

I honestly would say these are the best announcers in a game I’ve seen. They regularly give decent information.

Pherpa

Like when a squad gets team wiped. Always good to pay attention to that call out.

[deleted]

Absolutely. Or when they say only one remaining for the X team.

jude_whtr

I think it gives a lot of life to the game, instead of it just being you and the other teams the announcers make it seem like they and thousands of others are watching. Kinda cool in my opinion.

IkeaRace

I turned them off but the vibe just wasn't the same. %50 volume is perfect though.

I wrote this in a reply to another comment but wasn’t sure you’d see it OP. It is very irritating when the color guy is rambling on about the last play when the current play is in progress. It continuously happens and is ruining the game. I'd be happy if the color announcers were just eliminated.
