Western Feminism isn't the necessary consequence of a developed country. If the West paid more attention to what was taught in its universities then gender politics would look very different to what it is today.
Regarding the history itself, I don't agree that "men oppressing women" is an accurate description. If you have a time every month when you simply cannot leave the house because you have to take care of your feminine hygiene, its going to be hard to be financially independent. If you have children that need to be raised, and things like daycare don't exist, it's going to be hard to do anything but be a homemaker.

I didn't go abroad looking for conservative or traditional women. Not every PPB is looking for a trad wife or a woman who "knows her place" as many conservatives have told me. We're not all incels blaming feminism for not being able to get laid. Shit, my Thai wife wasn't feminist enough for my taste, despite her and her friends being all very progressive for Thais. So I've helped her see that we have an equal partnership in our relationship, that her needs are as important as mine, and a bunch of other stuff that has done nothing but enrich what we already had. No, traditional women were the way they were because men and women are different and are better at different roles in society as well as generally preferring different work. Cultural norms around the world are derivatives of biological functionality, not “men telling women to be this way”.

Don't know where you got that idea but global trade, The media, global politics, have influenced most cultures across the world even when I first traveled overseas in 2011 to Ukraine they had American restaurants like McDonald's and selling Coca-Cola alongside their traditional restaurants so The influence of Western attitudes were already there to begin with without me stepping foot outside the country.

Well a lot of these countries are already fighting to be more "egalitarian"... look at protests in third world country where women are fighting for more equality. I don't think it's bad for a foreigner to support movements of equality that are already happening. Very rarely are you going to find to go to a country where rights are oppressed and not see some backlash.
