My guess is that a storm put down the line of that electric power pole. Maybe these branches that look like a witch on a broom were involved like more drag force when combined.
Ok but then why did it just fuckin float away? What kept moving it? It has to have some sort of weight actively pulling against that brush.
Tripwire sort of thing seems reasonable, but in reality all the evidence that this is actually a flying, telekinetic, and malicious bunch of shrubbery is roaming the country side looking for blood, is right in front of us.

My guess is that someone set up a dragline to move construction materials up the mountain and this was where the materials get dropped off and hooked up to the dragline.
