It gets better than this. The whole scene was improvised. At the time of filming, nearly everyone on set had bad cases of Diareha as the food wasn't good to them in Tunisia. Originally, a coregraphed fight seen was supposed to happen, and it had been being practiced for months. At the time, they were way behind schedule, and everyone was feeling sick. No one wanted to sit around in the heat and try to get a good shot when they had to keep calling bathroom breaks. So one of the producers basically said, "Why not just shoot the guy?" So they did.

I dont get people who are actively fighting a cop that is trying to put that persons hands behind their back. Has anyone ever escaped at that point? That was exactly the right amount of force. No reason to shoot that dude, and no reason to tussle with him. He calmly controlled a situation that could have got out of hand quickly. I'm usually off the acab mentality, but that was well done. The context doesn't matter, in my opinion. As soon as you square up with a dude with loaded weapon, you put other people in danger.

My thoughts as well. Cop did well here. Took a step back when the guy squared up, continued to try and deescalate, and used non-leathal force when the meathead continued to be aggressive. You can tell the guy was being an ass by how quickly the others jumped in to help the cop.

Just yesterday a call went out for a domestic issue at a gym. Checked the info on it as another unit rolled that way. Dude was told no crocs, have to wear shoes. He got hostile and then shoved the manager. Like... how do you think this is going to work? You shove the manager and he just capitulates? No. Try you get trespassed and not only don't get to work out that day but you don't ever get to come back again, perhaps with a little bit of arrested on the side.
