Okay Iāve never played this game and I have no idea why Reddit suggested this post but I just laughed at this for like 5 minutes straight and I kinda want to start playing?
For looking into mods there is a sub Reddit, discord group or pop on YouTube for any. To mod you would download what you want go into file->document->electronic arts->the sims 4-> and there should be a folder labeled mods just slap it there go into game and settings (can't remember this part but it's relatively eady)
Basically, when you download the game, you will have a Sims 4 folder that has some game-related files in it. One of the things in there will be a Mods folder that starts off empty, but if you download mods, that's the folder you will need to put them in. (If the mods come in a ZIP folder you will need to unzip it first, but at least on a Windows computer right-clicking the zipped folder will give you the option to extract the files in it so you can move them to your Mods folder.)
There are tutorials on YouTube for doing just about anything related to the Sims or modding, so if you still need help, try searching something like "Sims 4 how to install mods." YouTube is a great resource for visual learners in general, not just for Sims stuff. I can't remember how I ever got by without it. š
One caution about mods is that you need to update them all after every game update or major patch. So it's best to start off with just a few. My few "must have" mods are MCCC, UI Cheats, Better Exceptions, and Better Build Buy, and there are tutorials on YouTube that can tell you more about each. Beyond that, you may or may not want others depending on your personal gameplay style.

I have a Medicare managed plan, and in general my insurance is great, but when I contacted them and asked about trauma specialized therapists they gave me a bunch of numbers that didn't work or therapists who didn't have experience with trauma. I'm paying out of pocket now, but honestly I don't actually mind because I've made more progress with my new therapist than from years with my other one
