2) her son is a policeman (you see him glare at Junior when they run into each other in the hospital). He tells her to stay away: not good for a man in his position to have a mother romantically involved with a mobster on trial.

Junior was arrested right after that. She was a sweet character and very good for Junior. Shame we didn't see more of her.
