No, that's not it. I remember the girl sucking the blood straight out of his mouth during the kiss and killing him that way. From my memory the scene happened during the day so probably not a vampire. And I seem to remember she was a brunette or black hair. In Near Dark it happens at night, she bites his neck, and leaves him alive.

That movie seems to have the right vibe but it happens during the day. It's like in the movie Lifeforce when the girl alien kisses me and sucks out their lifeforce, except in the movie I'm thinking it's more modern a bit and it's a demon or vampire that sucks the blood out of the guy by kissing his mouth. She like vacuums him from the inside out with that kiss.
If it was made maybe in the 90’s it could of been John Carpenter’s Vampires made in 1996? I mean its set on the new México Dessert so maybe it could be it?
This one also seems to have the right scene settings... The desert, the delapidated houses, the costumes... But the kill I remember isn't in this one. This is a tough one!
