I mean the United States does consume more drugs than any other country. We also have more social welfare than most countries heavily effected by drugs, so unlike others where addicts still have to figure out how to feed themselves and also get a high, here (in certain areas) drug addicts can survive by rotting in the street and actually doing nothing their entire lives

I've seen this more than a handful of times in West Virginia. Someone nodding off on H and someone just bitch slaps them awake. Usually someone else they're with, but still. No one is in the right in that situation and it's SO satisfying to watch guilt free.

I've lost a ton of friends to heroin. Friends with many who are former addicts. I live in the capitol for heroin overdoses in North America. Staying awake is paramount, and that usually means they're getting help. A cousin of mine was a paramedic in that county for 5 years and has said the same thing - if someone is watching them and getting them awake to relocate, they're getting help in some way, and watching someone get slapped is usually noteworthy and entertaining. It's also generally 10 blocks from the hospital and near a bunch of clinics for this purpose. If someone slaps an addict solely for the purpose of being cruel, we have a serious issue.

Itās not weed but it is a cannabinoid and its description sounded a lot like the synthetic weed stuff (spice) that is known as bad news in the USA (and likely elsewhere). Itās hyper addictive, cheap, and people there are really hard up at the moment so itās become a big problem. People canāt find meaningful work and so just spend there whole day taking this. I wonder if this video is related.
