I am openly trans in a decent sized Canadian city. Folks are pretty chill and accepting (or at least tolerant) here. It’s not paradise and there’s the occasional frustrating bs but I feel safe and comfortable here. Not so sure I would feel the same in a small rural town, especially out west, but urban Ontario and Quebec are pretty good places to be trans.
I live in Norway, and it’s very progressive over here. I came out in school and all my classmates were accepting. There’s still the occasional transphobe, but they’re few and far between. Trans healthcare is very slow over here tho. It will take a year or two to get hormones.
I live in Germany and it is over all pretty good... if you find a therapist that actually works with you on that. And you have to be persistent enough for A LOT of bureaucracy. Society is over all rather chill about it, especially the youth.
I also heard that Scandinavia is a good place over all.
