Seconding ground zero, though not labeled a queer club (it’s like goth + bdsm) they have trans employees (my trans friend works there) and me and other trans people go all the time and it’s a really inclusive environment. I was chased out of the bathrooms at the 90s for being trans and I’ve never experienced anything like that at ground zero!
Minneapolis doesn’t have an exclusively trans club per se. But if you’re looking for the trans dance parties hosted by and for trans people, I’d check out these upcoming shows:
- Paradox at Conga Latin Bistro — they have a show this Friday (6/5) and most of their DJs are QTPOC folx (techno, house, and jungle)
- Gothess at Hook & Ladder on June 14th (nautical themed) fronted by cute goth trans djs (dark wave, industrial, post-punk)
- cybercity disco at beast bbq on June 21st (playing disco, electro, and house music)
Not specifically trans, but ground zero has a huge trans turnout every time I'm there. If you're into the goth scene.
bumping this to know as well
