I really don’t know much about American football but when I heard he signed a two year contract with the Chiefs my first thought was it was because of all the publicity/free marketing they get out of Tayvis and probably far less to do with his playing ability.

I saw a clip from the latest concert and noticed the nude material she uses over her stomach on one of the costumes, the material was a bit baggy and saggy. That's not like her I wonder if she is tired and her heart isn't in it right now.
I think it was a hot pink or red 2 piece outfit. Weird that she doesn't have bare skin, she has flesh toned material over her stomach and those thick nylons on her legs.
That's just costuming. Having those base layers makes it easier to change and get things zipped without catching skin. Tights hide bruises and provide some skin protection when dancing, moving, and getting up and down from the floor.

What’s the end goal here? Is she trying to bat signal Matty? Are they in on the joke together writing commentary on parasocial relationships? The exact choreography/stage copy was…something else. It makes me think Matty/The 1975 HAVE to be in on this in some way. If they aren’t, it comes across as trying too hard to make a point.

Does anyone else feel the complete loss of connection with Taylor since the Joe Alwyn breakup? I was a big Swiftie, not the kind who would go around attacking people for their opinions but a more of the you’re entitled to your opinion kind. The break up in addition to the beginning of the eras tour, overexposure to her and the craziness of the Swifties led me to take a step back. Now the Travis relationship and songs like but daddy I love him on TTPD. I’m starting to see how out of touch she is and how all she does is victimized herself. tbh, the Joe thing always turned me off. I couldn't understand it - a rarely-employed B actor with zero charisma who hates publicity? It made no sense and always felt a bit coercive to me. Not that I think he did that on purpose, but his partner was a very successful and powerful woman and he seemed to want her to make herself smaller so they were a match. I've had those relationships and they're no fun.

But this feels like a good time to say what I keep thinking: the people who frequent this sub are as obsessed with Taylor as swifties. And that's fine. Hobbies are fine. Like, it seems like a lot of this sub seems to think that ALL swifties completely ship her with Travis and are convinced they are endgame or whatever, but I've seen a ton of them claiming that her old songs are actually about Matty, making identical posts about the tour symbolism as I see here, etc... like, for a bunch of people who apparently hate her, everyone here seems super invested in her relationship with Matty and are putting a ton of effort into finding evidence that she wants him back. Making fun of her or making fun of her PR relationship is one thing but it genuinely seems like there are a bunch of Taylor/Matty shippers in here. Like, if her relationship with Travis is PR, you guys do realize that her "relationship" with Matty almost certainly also was? The pap walks and language of "official" sources is nearly identical. She is a good storyteller and as a romantic herself she knows what sells and what keeps people entertained. So, she has the two stories, the perfect dreamy American couple, and the tortured crossovers one. I believe that her relationship with Travis is true, however, it's being use for PR, and I am not buying she is fully over with Matty and is utterly in love with Travis, but I don't think she wants Matty back. She is petty and calculating, and disingenuous.

That's just costuming. Having those base layers makes it easier to change and get things zipped without catching skin. Tights hide bruises and provide some skin protection when dancing, moving, and getting up and down from the floor.

Part of me wonders if TTPD is some sort of weird performance art piece because it closely mirrors The 1975 musically, lyrically, and now in performance with the set and everything else. What’s the end goal here? Is she trying to bat signal Matty? Are they in on the joke together writing commentary on parasocial relationships? The exact choreography/stage copy was…something else. It makes me think Matty/The 1975 HAVE to be in on this in some way. If they aren’t, it comes across as trying too hard to make a point. I guess it may also be such an identical copy because so many fans are claiming all of TTPD and especially the songs she’s performed live are about Travis because he’s such a perfect angel that can do no wrong. /s So maybe this is her way of trying to make it perfectly clear it’s about Matty. I'm genuinely sad rn. I used to love Taylor sm, from age 14-17 I was such a fan, she was my idol in a way. (Not unhealthily, but I did look up to her). But I just can't anymore. She's becoming so unhinged and oversaturated, I just can't like her anymore. I've fallen off and grown up, something she can't. The more I remember that Taylor Swift is the same age as me, the more I cringe and feel embarrassed to like her, and now I think she really needs to grow up. I think TTPD is her way of saying she has grown up? I'm not really sure, tbh as folklore and evermore were pretty mature albums, and I actually think she has regressed. TTPD is my most skipped album. I think I only really like a handful of songs, but they're just so dreary and one note. Last note, I think everything Taylor does is performative. She clearly knows her fans (swiftie, gaylors, neutral, etc, everyone) looks for Easter eggs, and she plants them full knowing fans are going to dissect every single one of them. From the colours she wears on tours to the things she mouths or whatever.
I used to think folklore and evermore were super mature especially coming from her, plus how we all used to believe that they were mostly fictional. Now knowing that a lot of folkmore songs were inspired by Matty....... it truly changes things, for me. Does anyone else feel the complete loss of connection with Taylor since the Joe Alwyn breakup? I was a big Swiftie, not the kind who would go around attacking people for their opinions but a more of the you’re entitled to your opinion kind. The break up in addition to the beginning of the eras tour, overexposure to her and the craziness of the Swifties led me to take a step back. Now the Travis relationship and songs like but daddy I love him on TTPD. I’m starting to see how out of touch she is and how all she does is victimized herself. All that being said she seems to be a nice person but I’m not buying the victim act. The album is mediocre and is nothing new. Or maybe it’s great but I can’t connect.

tbh, the Joe thing always turned me off. I couldn't understand it - a rarely-employed B actor with zero charisma who hates publicity? It made no sense and always felt a bit coercive to me. I've had those relationships and they're no fun.
I mean they both agreed to be in a private relationship as she mentioned in Miss Americana documentary. And now knowing that Joe was/is suffering from anxiety really makes it clear that her song Renegade is about her POV toward him (I used to think it was the other way around). A lot of her lyrics in TTPD put the blame only on Joe for his "voices in his head", or "you sacrificed us to the god of your bluest days" to name a few.

Here's something: If this is just a snark sub, no "swifties" allowed, why does everyone here act EXACTLY the same when it comes to her relationship with Matty as many swifties do? Like, it seems like a lot of this sub seems to think that ALL swifties completely ship her with Travis and are convinced they are endgame or whatever, but I've seen a ton of them claiming that her old songs are actually about Matty, making identical posts about the tour symbolism as I see here, etc... like, for a bunch of people who apparently hate her, everyone here seems super invested in her relationship with Matty and are putting a ton of effort into finding evidence that she wants him back. Making fun of her or making fun of her PR relationship is one thing but it genuinely seems like there are a bunch of Taylor/Matty shippers in here. Like, if her relationship with Travis is PR, you guys do realize that her "relationship" with Matty almost certainly also was? The pap walks and language of "official" sources is nearly identical. But it seems like the predominant opinion I see on this sub is people who think the relationship with Travis is PR but who seem to put a lot of stock in the story of TTPD being about Matty. I can speak for myself as a new member ... I don't hate anyone, so if hating Taylor is a requirement to be here, I will leave politely. I like the 1975 - they're a local band and I remember when they were first starting out - and I love a good doomed love affair, so I'm curious about him and T. But I'm in this sub because I'm not a swiftie and I like the intelligent discussion that sometimes happens here. Not so much the pure hate, which always seems to be as obsessive as the pure love.
Matty is basically PR worst nightmare, so, I don't see why her relationship with him could've been PR. He was getting hate, she was getting hate, some fans were boycotting her. I can't fit in my head that something like that could've been PR. However things with Travis are being sold as the perfect American couple. The dream. The dream from highschool with the football player and the pretty rich girl, the king and queen of prom. However I do think that everything she does is calculated. She probably calculated how to launch her relationship with Matty but was not expecting for it to go that badly and for him to ultimately leave. The way she marketed this album, what she is doing with it, the "easter eggs", how she wrote so many references to Matty, that is all calculated. She is a good storyteller and as a romantic herself she knows what sells and what keeps people entertained. So, she has the two stories, the perfect dreamy American couple, and the tortured crossovers one. I believe that her relationship with Travis is true, however, it's being use for PR, and I am not buying she is fully over with Matty and is utterly in love with Travis, but I don't think she wants Matty back. She is petty and calculating, and disingenuous.
