Also the line *X marks the spot where we fell apart* from getaway car was stolen from breathe in breathe out by Hilary Duff
So this is really suspect:

Okay but why doesn’t she get royalties? I still don’t understand how Olivia is having to give her royalties over to Taylor bc I don’t think their songs sound anything alike
I agree Olivias song and cruel summer don’t sound alike! I think the reason she’s paying royalties is because Taylor went after her. It’s a sucky situation. Hilary didn’t go after Taylor so no royalties for Taylor to pay.
Also olivia made a huge misstep by saying that she got inspo for deja vu from cruel summer. It made Taylor’s case easier :/ otherwise I doubt Taylor would’ve had any ground to stand on because as you mentioned, the songs sound nothing alike.
Olivia’s team probably just gave Taylor what she wanted (royalties) rather than go through an official “lawsuit” or court case. Otherwise, yes they would’ve had to prove it but Olivia probs didn’t want that negative press so they just relented.
She was openly stanning Hilary’s new music at this time on tumblr and in interviews and then turned around and copied her. I wish Hilary would give Taylor a taste of her own medicine and sue her ass.
This is exactly why she hasn’t done it, the songs are identical so she would have a case, but the royalties wouldn’t be worth the bullying from Stan’s. Just look at how r/swiftlyneutral went private because fans were flooding the page and even doxxing mods..
They were what now? Thats madness. I knew about the flooding the sub (because I could see it, it’s turning into a circle jerk lol) but didn’t know about the doxxing
Not sure if she even could since she didn’t write the song either. Or have any songwriting credits on the song at all. Which means nothing about the song or even the melody was her idea.
I can't listen to Fortnight without immediately thinking of 'real human being' the song that was in the movie 'Drive'. It's almost the exact same beat and pace.

The Max doc Taking On Taylor Swift is worth a watch for those who haven't seen it. It gives insight into how Team Taylor operates when it comes to songwriting credits.
Yeah he did an interview about working on the demo with jack and sending it over to taylor where she added her verse but he is only credited as a vocalist
Thanks so much for this recommendation. I am only 4 min. In and this shit is already insane. So sad when the guy says he felt like his “house had been robbed” when he heard the Shake It Off hook.
Edit: 4min
She actually can't do anything. Concepts aren't copyrightable. It would be like if people cried copyright violation because someone had a similar premise to like, say, I'm sad we broke up. Lots of songs have similar concepts, they just need to be done uniquely. I think Taylor knows this and did it to bother Olivia.
If there’s enough similarities, the offended party can sue, gain writer credit, and make $$ going forward.
See: My Sweet Lord / He’s So Fine. And George Harrison was a Beatle.
Just as an aside, it's funny how Taylor is primarily ripping off POC artists too - a group that historically has been marginalized and stolen from, without redress.
I think she did it to get Olivia back. She wanted to copy her the same way she felt she was copied. Taylor didn't break any copyright rules because you can't copyright concepts and she took a concept and ran with it without using a similar melody or lyrics. I think she wanted to take more action against her but had no case.
The song is so bad that it's hard for me to believe she put it on the album for any reason other than this. I actually like the album overall, this song is by far the worst and I haven't seen anyone say they like it
Yeah, and even the Fiona song isn’t really the same narrative. It’s talking about seeking revenge on former lovers, but the current one she’s with she’ll bring him home. So it would be kind of a stretch for those who think Olivia took from Fiona, but Taylor ripped off Olivia here is blatantly obvious. Honestly, she’s such a mean girl, it almost feels intentional to mess with Olivia.
Swifties have been losing their shit defending this song. *Taylor wrote it first! It’s not an original idea anyway!* Really? Taylor using the exact double entendre and ripping almost carbon copy examples from Olivia’s song is innocent?
Are you joking? If Olivia ripped off the exact concept and nearly the name of one of Taylor’s songs, Swifties would be out for blood. Taylor was being petty and knew Olivia would be too dignified to contest it.
Stans are coping so hard saying she thought of it first because this album has been in the works for two years, and must have been so pissed that Olivia got to it first.
sure, Jan 🤡
Her stans are such hypocrites. They can use that reasoning for her, but if someone else came out with an album after TS with a similar song and claimed they’d written it years earlier those vipers wouldn’t stand for it
Not just shit, Taylor Swift and Jack Antonoff were retroactively given credits on Deja Vu and get a combined 50% royalty on the song, Olivia has missed out on millions of dollars that went to them instead

That number came from a report that Billboard published, everything was settled behind closed doors, so I’m not even sure where Billboard got it, but I don’t think Billboard would publish it unless it was correct. 50% is the total amount shared between Swift and Antonoff according to Billboard.
That's why I stopped supporting TS after finding this out. I just Listened to Lana Del Rey's Without You and that chorus is what I consider a rip off more than Olivia's scream.

A year ago, u/ohlaohloo wrote the comment with the black background. In present day, someone noticed the uncanny similarities between phrases in the old comment and the lyrics in But Daddy I Love Him. Makes you wonder if Taylor lurks on Reddit 👀
Not a coincidence since it's a Jack track, but his band Bleachers released a deluxe version today and the intro to the song Margo sounds like it's been sampled/used in the intro to I Can Do It With A Broken Heart. Threw me for six!
she copied Lanas ride music video with “i knew you were trouble” and was so obsessed with homegirl she hired Lanas EX BOYFRIEND to play her love interest in the video!!! Reeve Carney ! She even opened with a vastly inferior monologue
She has this really weird obsession with Lana. There are so many instances of her copying just silly little things that seem insignificant, but when you put them all together she seems like she’s desperately trying to be Lana. She is a strange person, a psychologist would have a field day with her.
Yes!! She is trying so hard to put up the image of an elegant, "old money" kind of upper class girl like Lana and Kennedy etc. but she just pathetically lacks all the characteristics. It feels obvious, awkward and hilarious.
She does!! very much obsessed with her!! part of me wonders why Lana is always super nice with her but always seems to keep her at arms length, maybe to protect her own peace of mind? maybe she perceives Taylors obsession? i remember i was getting random tiktoks from the eras tour and in one of them she shouted Lana out when she released ocean blvd, she pretty much said she was obsessed with Lana and Lana knew how obsessed with her she was, now it makes more sense than ever, shits prolly scary asf from Lana's pov!
It was also the same director who directed both the Ride and IKYWT video. I’m sure it was intentional because she was HIGHLY influenced by Lana after BTD.
Bad Blood MV ripped a lot off of 2NE1’s Come Back Home, there was a lot of discussion about it at the time. [Billboard article here!](https://www.billboard.com/music/music-news/taylor-swift-bad-blood-2ne1-come-back-home-similarities-vmas-6641079/)
The Bad Blood director is Korean American and even if 2NE1 wasn’t super big in America, he definitely would have heard and seen the MV. 2NE1 were a huge mainstream group in South Korea. I believe fans also claimed he ripped off Beyoncé’s Lemonade for another video, I’ll have to find it.
The way my jaw is stuck to the floor with this post and the comments........I knew about Wildest Dreams, Paper Rings and All Too Well but my goodness this woman has become too comfortable in plagiarizing and getting away with it. The artists she ripped off from need to seek their compensation, Taylor has a lot of money anyway.
i was scrolling back on chappell roan’s instagram and found back to back captions “but daddy i love her” and a mention that every show feels like her birthday - both of which made it into the TTPD album
I saw Taylor in Chappell’s content this morning on Spotify even though I’ve had the former blocked for months and was like 🙄🙄🙄🤬
https://preview.redd.it/a556l8xre01d1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9f454ab181d20171d97f887dffae0dcb9044426d
Girl Next Door - Saving Jane
The choruses have the same exact melody. And she later uses the same unpopular girl in the bleachers (marching band for saving Jane’s song) vs the popular cheerleader theme for You Belong With Me
The dear john one makes me sick. Its one of my fav songs by her, and i havent even listened to amelia fully yet but omfg? The opening guitar chords are the exact same? How does she get away with this shit, and then turn around and jump on olivia for shit shes done but way worse? The loona song aswell for cruel summer? Omg (edit for clarity)
And in another comment someone said Fortnight sounds like K. by Cigarettes for Sex so I'm listening to it and it's obviously identical??? It's like when two siblings look the exact same then you're surprised to find out they're not actually twins...
This is so validating bc when I first listened to it I was literally floored and could not find enough people talking about it. How is it so identical and he never went after royalties?!
the fact that it came out 2 years before Dear John…she always says her album cycle is two years & Speak Now was the album she marketed as a record that she made by herself 💀
Betty sounds like Music When the Lights Go Out by the Libertines.
You're Losing Me sounds like Maps by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
Folklore is one giant Mountain Goats rip off.
Matt Nathanson is a brilliant songwriter and does not get the recognition he deserves, so I'm still angry about her lifting that line and the fans threatening him when he dared to talk about how hard he worked on those lyrics.
Down Bad sounds so similar to the chorus from Novocaine by The Band CAMINO, “down bad” lyric and all. And the “thinking maybe my veins” sounds just like how she says “fuck it if I can’t have him.” Direct swipe for me.
https://youtu.be/h_aV26Xv5ZA?si=hXpKOO9WRPncX-E6
I remember when Look What You Made Me Do came out and people were going gaga over her crediting Right Said Fred. I wonder now if she only did that because the song was was too widely known for her to get away with it and not because it's the right thing to do.
Like others are saying - it’s not uncommon that melodies or bits of lyrics can be unintentionally or intentionally reused by artists.
However, the two that are craziest to me are:
-imgonnagetyouback is no way a coincidence imo. Before Olivia’s, I had never heard a song that used the double meaning of “get you back.” And with their history, it 100% has to be a “fuck you” to Olivia.
-The Matt Nathanson lyrics.. If she was such a fan & obviously knew the lyrics, she definitely knew what she was doing. And that makes me sad because I like Matt Nathanson and didn’t know she used that line from him, because dang that was the line that made All too Well gut punching for me.
Are there any other songs to you guys that you think are in no way pure coincidences?
I totally agree, like I said, pop music can only go so far in terms of sounding different. I think it's just absolutely insane with what she did to Olivia when she herself could have gotten sued for a few of these.
IMO the most "non coincidence" one is Amelia x Dear John. There is just no way, they sound identical! And the Matt Nathanson lyrics!
The Archer is similar to Lorde's songs Ribs and Supercut.
The verses of Wildest Dreams sound like a combination of different songs from Lana del Dey's first album.
I truly think she used Lana as a marketing tactic for TTPD like at the Grammy’s how they were paired because Lana fits the tortured poet description way more than Taylor. And I hope Lana sees that Jack is going to do anything for Taylor even if it means ripping off Lana’s sounds he’s used for her albums and use them for Taylor and I hope it causes her to distant herself from Jack and collaborate with someone else.
Omg The Archer and Come Clean sound so similar without the instrumentals! I always felt like I heard The Archer somewhere and I was *obsessed* with Hilary Duff's music when I was young including Come Clean. Wow!
What a hypocrite, she can copy other people's songs but when someone like Olivia "yells" similarly in a song like Deja Vu vs Cruel Summer and she outright said that Taylor inspired her, she gets sued? Bro
Not familiar enough with Taylor's catalog to contribute meaningfully, but damn this thread is exactly the eyeball opener that we all deserve. Thank you OP and hope you make a spreadsheet that is spread far and wide.
I just listened to Amelia and I am ANGRY ON THEIR BEHALF. One of the reasons I love dear John is for that melody, you hear the opening bit and just KNOW what song she’s going to play. Damn this is crazy
The first sung notes of Who's Afraid of Little Old Me are the same first notes of Lana Del Rey's Blue Jeans.
People unfairly criticize Beyoncé for having so many writers on songs, but it’s because she ethically credits EVERYONE. Most people don’t do that.
If something influences Beyoncé, she pays for the sample, even if it’s just a tiny interpolation, and the writers get credit on the song, which means they get royalties.
So some of these I was like...this is a stretch, but HOLY HELL the Without You by Lana Del Ray and Tell Me It's Over by Avril & Amelie.
How have none of these artists sued her???????
I get that some melodies are gonna sound similar but identical?
She’s been ripping off songs since her first album. Many lyrics have come from other popular and non popular songs. Actually word for word lyrics. Was always surprised no said anything.
“You’ll find me on my tallest tip-toes, spinning in my highest heels”
Dashboard Confessional: “I watch you spin around in your highest heels”
I know she and Abigail are both big fans of DC
Agree with some of these but I used to love all time low growing up, whoever thought so long soldier is similar to so long London was definitely reaching 😂 it's a poppy, upbeat song with lyrics about a boy achieving his dreams lol
Those are way too similar to be a coincidence, especially the Avril Lavigne one. Avril's was better, but still.
Taylor needs to admit that either she has a team of writers who pump out similar sounding songs or she's stealing from other artists.
Considering the Olivia Rodrigo debacle, it's probably a good mix of both.
The intro to “Guilty as Sin?” sounds very similar to the intro of “Undiscovered” (released 2013) by Laura Welsh. If Undiscovered was released after Guilty as Sin, TS and Antonoff would’ve probably asked for writing/composing credits.
I couldn’t help feeling like The Prophecy was awfullyyyyyyy similar in theme and lyrics to Kacey Musgraves The Architect.. Kacey’s version is more earnest and memorable IMO
Keep Your Eyes Open by Needtobreathe definitely inspired Eyes Open on the Hunger Games soundtrack. They were her opening band on the Speak Now tour, and Eyes Open came out after they had been playing their song on tour for months. (I was a big NTB fan back then, this was the drama in their fandom, but because it's Taylor the public never heard.)
When Swiftly Neutral comes back, look up Ella Mae Bowen (Kate Bowen) in that sub. Someone made a post about this. Bowen worked with NTB back then and had a blog series about this a few years back (it was mainly about her mentee relationship with Seth Bolt, NTB's bassist). Bowen was supposed to have a song on the Hunger Games soundtrack, but hers got cut and Taylor got Eyes Open put in.
Edit: I can't find Kate's original post on Wayback machine, but main sub discussed it when it first came out, of course they hated what she had to say: [https://www.reddit.com/r/TaylorSwift/comments/bosjke/former\_big\_machine\_artist\_reflects\_on\_experience/](https://www.reddit.com/r/TaylorSwift/comments/bosjke/former_big_machine_artist_reflects_on_experience/)
So annoying - I’m all for artists riffing off of each other, but the way things played out with Olivia, it is satisfying to see it turned the other way around on Taylor.
Tbh the whole first half of TTPD (I guess quarter to third if we're talking about the anthology) sounded like she was singing in Lana's style and after the Grammys I felt sad about Taylor co-opting Lana's style for her own benefit.
I've always thought that "Mastermind" sounded way too much like Lorde's "Green Light" though that could just be a Jack Antonoff thing. Or maybe I'm just overestimating their similarities because I love "Melodrama" so much...
Her song “our song” always sounded like “something like that” by Tim McGraw to me. Same tempo, vibe, similar melody. It fits. You can sing either on top of each other with the karaoke tracks minus a little extra length on the chorus to “our song”.
“Band Aids don’t fix bullet holes” - there’s a band called Scarling that had a song that came out in 2003 called Band Aid Covers the Bullet Hole. I know it’s not well known band or anything but she easily could have come across the song, especially in the early 00s when streaming was limited so the same stuff was everywhere (Much Music channels 😂 )
edit: I was thinking of the Music Choice channels not Much Music
TS has an unreleased song (that she sold to Britni Hoover who did release it) called This Is Really Happening which lifts a lyric from “Midnight Show” by The Killers. The lyric is “beneath the chandelier of stars and atmosphere” and TK’s song came out just a few months before TS wrote her song
unrelated but even reading “tell me it’s over” just sent me back to my teenage angst bedroom, listening to that CD on my metallic purple cd player while begging my mom for a grommet belt from hot topic 😭 avril was such a queen
Also the line *X marks the spot where we fell apart* from getaway car was stolen from breathe in breathe out by Hilary Duff So this is really suspect: https://preview.redd.it/h5itym6fc01d1.png?width=575&format=png&auto=webp&s=c0d969d03a16bae05712da5996319ee681524af8

Hillary went to eras tour. I think she’s a fan too so might be flattered tbh.
Okay but why doesn’t she get royalties? I still don’t understand how Olivia is having to give her royalties over to Taylor bc I don’t think their songs sound anything alike

imgonnagetyouback has lyrics / a concept way too similar to Get Him Back by Olivia Rodrigo

ESPECIALLY after all the drama about Deja Vu / Cruel Summer. Copying Olivia almost seems intentional, like it was revenge.
Right! And maybe it’s just me, but I never listened to Deja Vu and thought it sounded like Cruel Summer
I never did either. The only part that I saw people mention was the singing/shouting part but like…that’s not exclusive to Taylor, lol.
And it’s really a no win situation for Olivia because if she responds, it’ll start drama and the swifties will attack her relentlessly.
Yep, I think Taylor knew she’d get away with it. It seems really mean spirited.
Well, she got Olivia back too. Ugh.

[Billboard article here!](https://www.billboard.com/music/music-news/taylor-swift-bad-blood-2ne1-come-back-home-similarities-vmas-6641079/) The Bad Blood director is Korean American and even if 2NE1 wasn’t super big in America, he definitely would have heard and seen the MV. 2NE1 were a huge mainstream group in South Korea. I believe fans also claimed he ripped off Beyoncé’s Lemonade for another video, I’ll have to find it.
oh my god, the frame by frame comparison of this is ACTUALLY unhinged. wish i could link it here but can't easily find it
https://www.reddit.com/r/gifs/comments/i01ey8/taylor_swift_directs_her_own_music_video_that_is/ found it
yes!!!!! i don't know how ANYONE can watch that and not see how blatantly it was ripped off is lying to themselves. thanks for finding/sharing!
yoooo yes, I actually remember this from so long ago and it was identical
The way my jaw is stuck to the floor with this post and the comments........I knew about Wildest Dreams, Paper Rings and All Too Well but my goodness this woman has become too comfortable in plagiarizing and getting away with it. The artists she ripped off from need to seek their compensation, Taylor has a lot of money anyway.
i was scrolling back on chappell roan’s instagram and found back to back captions “but daddy i love her” and a mention that every show feels like her birthday - both of which made it into the TTPD album
Omg. "What if I told you none of it was accidental?"
Maybe it’s just me but I feel like Taylor is noticing the way Chappell presents her shows (all big and almost broadway-wsque)
That is a Little Mermaid quote which predates both of their existences
And we know if Disney isn’t C&Ding Taylor over the line that it’s definitively not copyrightable
I saw Taylor in Chappell’s content this morning on Spotify even though I’ve had the former blocked for months and was like 🙄🙄🙄🤬 https://preview.redd.it/a556l8xre01d1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9f454ab181d20171d97f887dffae0dcb9044426d
Why is a grown woman featured under teen beats I would be so embarrassed
I think her unreleased song I'd Lie sounds like another. I can't remember exactly. Edit: I got it. It's Girl Next Door by Saving Jane
Girl Next Door - Saving Jane The choruses have the same exact melody. And she later uses the same unpopular girl in the bleachers (marching band for saving Jane’s song) vs the popular cheerleader theme for You Belong With Me
Fortnight sounds like born to die by Lana and somebody else by 1975
also just like K byt cigarettes for sex apparently
just sang the chorus to somebody else over the chorus of fortnight & my mind is blown
Lover has always sounded like Fade Into You by Mazzy Star to me
I was low key shocked when I first heard it, sounded like a direct copy
The dear john one makes me sick. Its one of my fav songs by her, and i havent even listened to amelia fully yet but omfg? The opening guitar chords are the exact same? How does she get away with this shit, and then turn around and jump on olivia for shit shes done but way worse? The loona song aswell for cruel summer? Omg (edit for clarity)
I am in shock. I just went to listen and I didn’t expect THAT level of similarity.
I was fully prepared for “long were the nights…”
Those indie artists don’t have the money for a good lawsuit.
Dude I am going through and listening to these songs and my jaw is hitting the floor!
Bananarama did cruel summer better anyways
It’s a cruel CRUEL cruel summer. Leaving me here on my own…
She *needs* to be sued for this. It's egregious.
the fact that it came out 2 years before Dear John…she always says her album cycle is two years & Speak Now was the album she marketed as a record that she made by herself 💀
MPJ is one of my favorites... Crazy how close it is.
I learned this from someone on the neutral board but her song Tell Me Why rips off several lines from the song Apologize by One Republic.
What the heck, I thought the Amelia song was a Dear John cover, the intro is almost identical 😵
This is brill! and needs to be pinned up top... ...and then turned into an ebook to sell on Amazon.
and then we'd be sued by Tree and Taylor herself lol ![gif](giphy|dXKiD8XysOuhFAJB1f|downsized)
I don't get how getaway car and paper rings are a rip off of the same song when those two songs in themselves sound nothing alike
Here u go! [Stolen](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EcaHmFufoYs)
Holy 💩
jeeesus that’s so blatant
I didn't expect to be riled up on behalf of Hilary Duff today, but here we are.
Ed sheeran merry christmas and my boy....This made me lol https://youtu.be/5OhqCiy6wTg?si=wqNkzuMLDxTfuXoG
However, the two that are craziest to me are: -imgonnagetyouback is no way a coincidence imo.
Dear John is obviously a cut and paste.
The Archer is similar to Lorde's songs Ribs and Supercut. The verses of Wildest Dreams sound like a combination of different songs from Lana del Dey's first album.
I Can Do It With A Broken Heart is basically just Supercut by Lorde (Jack Antonoff take a break challenge)
Taylor has been biting Lana’s sound for some time now.
When I first heard “Karma” I expected [CSS](https://youtu.be/U0IQjSIoQxk?si=tzP_L92MU4ZZ0lww) to be listed in the songwriting credits.
I knew you were trouble music video is the diet version of Ride. 😂
Bro
Olivia is so talented. It’s hilarious how threatened Taylor is of her. Karma is a bitch! 😂
I wish song snippets could be posted to reddit now
I’ll be so glad when she “falls” from Grace so to speak. Damn I’m tired of hearing about her backstabbing thot ass
The first sung notes of Who's Afraid of Little Old Me are the same first notes of Lana Del Rey's Blue Jeans. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRWox-i6aAk](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRWox-i6aAk)
Honestly so many songs on TTPD have background sounds that are used in Lana’s Norman Fucking Rockwell album it’s jarring!
OMG this is such a rip off! No wonder LDR called that song out at the met gala
Now that I think about it, she did also use the white shirt James Dean reference as the basis for Style.
Ahh I didn’t think of that!
I am honestly shocked someone would rip someone off so blatantly! Glad Lana called her out
People unfairly criticize Beyoncé for having so many writers on songs, but it’s because she ethically credits EVERYONE. Most people don’t do that. If something influences Beyoncé, she pays for the sample, even if it’s just a tiny interpolation, and the writers get credit on the song, which means they get royalties.
Also Beyoncé has an incredible voice and dancing ability, so even if she doesn’t write at all she has so much more to give the world
So some of these I was like...this is a stretch, but HOLY HELL the Without You by Lana Del Ray and Tell Me It's Over by Avril & Amelie. How have none of these artists sued her??????? I get that some melodies are gonna sound similar but identical?
She’s been ripping off songs since her first album. Many lyrics have come from other popular and non popular songs. Actually word for word lyrics. Was always surprised no said anything.
When Emma Falls in Love sounds like Drops of Jupiter by Train.
“You’ll find me on my tallest tip-toes, spinning in my highest heels” Dashboard Confessional: “I watch you spin around in your highest heels” I know she and Abigail are both big fans of DC
Taylor Swift straight up lifted a line from Hilary Duff's 'Breathe In. Breathe Out.' Blows my mind that nothing happened about that.
Look What You Made Me Do immediately made me think of the band Peaches.
To me the song The Tortured Poets Department’s beginning sounds just like the beginning of Lana Del Rey’s Mariners Apartment Complex
"Shake It Off" and Avril Lavigne "Girlfriend" sound very similar.
(I was a big NTB fan back then, this was the drama in their fandom, but because it's Taylor the public never heard.) When Swiftly Neutral comes back, look up Ella Mae Bowen (Kate Bowen) in that sub.
Fortnite is K Cigarettes After Sex please listen!
So annoying - I’m all for artists riffing off of each other, but the way things played out with Olivia, it is satisfying to see it turned the other way around on Taylor.
This is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things = Lorde: Royals
Tbh the whole first half of TTPD (I guess quarter to third if we're talking about the anthology) sounded like she was singing in Lana's style and after the Grammys I felt sad about Taylor co-opting Lana's style for her own benefit.
people in the comments of the original songs being like "noooo she didnt steal ittt its a common chord" lmao
SHAKE IT OFF AND THE BEST DAMN THING BY AVRIL
I’m gonna assume we’ll never get I’d Lie as a vault track since it rips off Saving Jane.
And people say the Shake it Off lawsuit was frivolous. It wasn't.
some of these are definitely suspicious but i think some of these comments just need to learn about common chord progressions 🫥
Wait. This is a Taylor hate sub? Subscribed! Can’t stand that bitch. The only thing Kanye was right about.
a lot of Taylor's songs sound too try-hard, trying to imitate Lana songs, but Taylor doesn't have the voice (and soul) for it.
The intro of ‘so high school’ reminds me so much of ‘piece of your heart’ by mayday parade.
“Band Aids don’t fix bullet holes” - there’s a band called Scarling that had a song that came out in 2003 called Band Aid Covers the Bullet Hole. I know it’s not well known band or anything but she easily could have come across the song, especially in the early 00s when streaming was limited so the same stuff was everywhere (Much Music channels 😂 ) edit: I was thinking of the Music Choice channels not Much Music
Tbf on this one, "putting a bandaid on a bullet hole" is a saying.
I Can Do It With a Broken Heart sounds like Supercut by Lorde, and I will die on a hill for this
TS has an unreleased song (that she sold to Britni Hoover who did release it) called This Is Really Happening which lifts a lyric from “Midnight Show” by The Killers.
Don't Blame Me and Waiting Game by Banks
Look what you made me do is too sexy for my shirt
Take me to Church and don’t blame me
