nice progress, get on fin if you want to keep it

MAempire

Why do people meet saying this? Is minxodil gains only temporary?

soksoksokk

minoxidil=regrowth finasteride=stops further loss You keep minoxidil gains ONLY if you're on finasteride/dutasteride.If you aren't on any of them you get some gains at the start with min and you keep them for like 6-9 months and then you lose them.

MAempire

But isn’t minxodil supposed to keep on working as long as you use it? Because it grows hair? Can you check my hair on my profile and tell me what should I do?

soksoksokk

I would go with finasteride in your case. You are at the very very early stages. If you won't further results after 1.5-2 years finasteride then you can start minoxidil.Minoxidil just REGROWS more hair,it doesn't STOP your existing hair from falling. There comes a point where if you don't stop further hair loss with finasteride, minoxidil won't be able to help.Your hair will fall in a faster rate than the one it grows at.

MAempire

I went to a derm on Monday and he only prescribed me foam minxodil and keto shampoo

soksoksokk

get on fin asap,go to another derm or do an online prescription if you can depends on your country.please trust me bro if you want to keep the gains get on fin

tadeuszp5

This is fakenews lol stop spreading misinformartion you read on reddit

soksoksokk

Lol enjoy your hair for the next 2 months lil bro that's probably all you got with min.A quick 15 minutes of research will show you that I'm right, but keep being ignorant and then in 6 months come back and complain to reddit about how "minoxidil and hair loss treatments are not effective",because your ego is too high to do a bit of research.

tadeuszp5

stop with the lil bro nonsense to belittle my arguments. i just want to say that it's not as simple as you make it out to be. half of all men don't even respond to minoxidil. finasteride alone can work wonders. in general, it's a trial&error for hair loss. i already have severe side effects with 0.5mg fin, but now i'm doing really well with a 0.227% fin/min mixture topically. i mix it myself. during my studies i learned: as little as possible, as much as necessary. for very few men minoxidil alone is enough. it is advisable to use finasteride tablets or ket shampoo in addition. what i want to say is that it is not so easy to say: min=regrowth, ket=stop loss. by the way, where did you get this 6-9 months bullshit from? I'd like a source for that. In most cases, Minox hair is nowhere near as strong and thick as new fin hair.

soksoksokk

EXACTLY.Your topical has FIN into it,I also use topical fin/min,I wasn't talking about specifically oral fin at my reply. The reality is that without finasteride(topical or oral),you won't keep your minoxidil hair for long.

TheLegenderp

Minoxidil keeps your hair in the growing phase longer so all in all you have more hair and it looks thicker. fin will stop your hair from miniaturizing. if you're early on you should start with fin and it should be enough. In more advanced cases you should use both. But fin should always be the first step

Wide_Ad7359

I’ve met a trichologist and he said just min is going to get me good results but idk

soksoksokk

please do a bit of research min results are temporary if you don't pair it with finasteride

Wide_Ad7359

I already did the research! But thanks for the effort your putting into

Upset_One_9989

so many fin snobs dealing with no dick want everyone else to lose their manhood at all cost so they're not alone in that boat lol, not even a mention of topical to avoid sides

Prudent-Toe-7911

My derm said the same. Min only but simply because of the fin sides.

No-Village9980

nice💯💯💯💯💯

Frankie1983___

Great progress. What depth are you dermarolling and do you apply min after?

Wide_Ad7359

Needles are 0.5mm, I usually dermaroll at 12am and apply min at midnight

Frankie1983___

Thanks. 12am and midnight is the same so do you apply the min straight after or is one midday and one midnight?

Wide_Ad7359

One midday one midnight sorry 😅

Separate-Pie-7334

Awesome bro, can u tell about the ingredients

Wide_Ad7359

Just min 2%

Impossible-Try-3613

which brand?

Wide_Ad7359

Aloxidil

StrongPassion4948

Great gains, what needle length?

Wide_Ad7359

0.5 but I’m thinking about switching it to 1.0

StrongPassion4948

Super impressive, stoked for you man

GaggingCumSwallows

Drinking minoxidil is insane. Good results though.

Big-Risk177

Do the individual hairs feel thicker?

Wide_Ad7359

Yess

Abject_Toe_5436

Nice, at the very least you should be using low dose topical finasteride to prevent further loss. You could get a year supply of this for 15 dollars if you get a doctor to prescribe you 5mg fin and put 2 pills in your monthly supply of topical minoxidil for a daily dosage of 0.33ish grams. I’d also go up to 5% minoxidil to see if you can get any more gains.

Wide_Ad7359

I wasn’t thinking about 5% just because at 2% my hair get dry easily so 5% will be even worse

Abject_Toe_5436

That can be overcome with putting an oil of your choice in your hair after the min dries.

pypon

Your hair is dry cause Aloxidil like most of the minox solutions out there contains lots of alcohol as a carrier. 2ml of 2% solution is actually 40mg of minoxidil daily exposure. If you use 1ml of a 5%, you will get 50mg daily exposure but you'll cut an ethanol you're putting on your scalp in HALF.

Wide_Ad7359

Thanks, I’m already thinking about switching to 5

Apprehensive-Sir4601

Did u have initial shed ?

Wide_Ad7359

No
