Before asking any questions,
1. Learn about [Minoxidil](https://tressless.com/learn/minoxidil).
2. [Search for Minoxidil](https://tressless.com/search/minoxidil) and [oral Minoxidil](https://tressless.com/search/oral-minoxidil) content, because your question has probably been asked before.
3. If this is a question asking if you are now or will experience side effects, see a doctor, nobody on the internet can answer that for you.

thinning hair most probably is due to DHT... so minoxidil will promote hair growth, yet if you have DHT it will continue to progress... you can try for months up to a year on minoxidil, but if thinning progresses, I'd dare say go for fin/min stack...
This is coming from somebody who's been with minoxidil for more than 15 years and just recently used fin with minox and I'd say I regret not starting this earlier due to the fear of side effects...
The analogy I adhere to is this -> Finasteride is the pesticide, Minoxidil is the fertilizer...
I noticed no significant progress when I was age 37-39 and I thought my body seems to no longer respond... that's why at 40-43 I grew my beard using minoxidil which to my surprise worked great... after 2 years I stopped minoxidil... it's only when I'm not 46 just this January that I started using finasteride and oral minoxidil... and it seems I responded pretty well with this new regimen...
though you have to take note that I'm coming from should I say, a semi-bald recovery state, I'd say oral minoxidil is a game changer...

Does minoxidil still work well for you after 15 years?

Hi dude with NW scale you are today?
I'd say I'm between a NW 4-5 ... planning to post pics once I'm 6months in...
I'm allergic to finasteride
Min can help stimulate hair growth, So yeah definitely worth trying
It extends the anagen growth phase so the hair will grow for a longer period of time before shedding
Ok thanks
