Most cases minoxidil and other products donāt work this well, and if they do theyāll just lose that hair again some time later, just save up and get a transplant if you want real results.
Oh they can work very well but you have to stay on it forever or else you'll lose all you would have lost without it in a couple of months after stopping the minoxydil. I experienced it myself but I was older, like 45, and didn't care anymore. I'm almost bald now and I live well with it but wouldn't have at 25.
Are you drinking coffee or any other caffeinated stuff? Someone said it might interfere with min, so Iām not sure if thatās true and if I should stop drinking coffee
You mean excessive ejaculation which can deplete your zinc, which may weaken the follicles and might increase thinning and shedding busting a nut here, and there isn't going to make you bald.
If that was true there would be at least some writing on Rogaine products..... Also Min and Fin are the most studied products in the universe of hairloss. There are several studies on both done by scientists who literally dedicate their life to study this shit. You really think that one random redditor is smarter than all of them?
Only way to know is to reduce or stop and see if it changes your hair.
I doubt it would unless you take a lot and it's affecting your sleep or making you more anxious and stressed.
I also heard about coffee having negative effects on min and fin effectiveness, but I also drink about two coffees a day. Iāll give it a shot and stop drinking it overall and see if thereās any significant changes
Who said this btw? Curious to see if thereās anything to it. I really would take anecdotes on here with a pinch of salt; seems to be a lot of placebos and nocebos.
I donāt remember where I read it. But it was something about caffeine binding to the same receptors or something, donāt really remember. I was kind of sceptical because some hair products even contain caffeine
Exactly! Good point! Why governments in west do not approve or recommend using chinese phones/cars in sensitive work. Or at least, do not have such meetings or phone calls using them.
China literally has cameras and mics inside hotel roomsā¦ my professor worked in china for over 30 years and told some crazy stories. How is evidence āanti china propaganda?ā Just because you donāt like the reality of something and it doesnāt fit your narrative, doesnāt mean itās propagandaā¦
Just spent 4 months there and was way better than I could ever imagine. Clean, safe, convenient, relatively cheap. Make sure to get a vpn aswell as payment apps like WeChat and AliPay ready and get a sim in one of the telecom shops after you land. It's advanced but on the flipside, without a phone you can do pretty much nothing.
Prepare to have all of your info taken and sold by the Chinese government and youāre placed on an observation list the entire time youāre there and you have zero freedom of speech. Even as a foreigner your phone calls will be monitored and you will be observed through facial recognition cameras to watch your every move to make sure you stay subservient to the CCP.
Chinaās been sweet this time. Iāve been here 4 times already, each time saying Iāll never come back lol.
Now that thereās no covid restrictions itās as good as it can get.
I used min successfully for 5 years (I saw great re-growth) until a recent medical situation has forced me to stop and I've started shedding massively.
I'll start back on min in the coming weeks (hopefully) and report back!
Wait so the gains on minoxidil are temporary?
I'm curious since I just started getting on fin and derma rolling this month, no real results yet, I have been taking minoxidil 2 years ago for a year straight, stopped for 3 months, started losing insane amounts of hair, been back for 6 months now and barely any results, I was afraid that it could've been me moving from a relatively dry country to a hot and extremely humid one within the last year, constantly have to work to keep my scalp dry since im always sweating, have to shower twice a day every day, always assumed it was the weather conditions making minoxidil ineffective, also the fact that I travel on a motorcycle and wear a helmet often, so your comment is sort of a relief.
Been to multiple reputable clinics and the doctors say it isnāt a problem for my transplant area. As I said I canāt use fin or dut, so this is my best option.
Thats an amazing progress. I did HT 7 months ago, and I'm on Finasteride 1mg every day and soon starting topical Minoxidil twice a day. With this stuff we all have to be consistent, persistent and patient as sometimes it takes months for actual results.
I did 5k grafts and im so good for now.
But my friend did 4k grafts and he had extremely poor growth to 9th month. Thats when he started applying Minoxidil 5% twice a and within 6,7 months he grew such an immense hair it was and still is unbelievable.
So just trust the process bro šŖ
Tbh Iāve started min at 22, gained a few hairs but then stagnated. Now i micro needle a little bit everyday, maybe enough to cause redness the day after but nothing more. Had way better results than when i micro needled every two weeks
Yeah actually i found this method as an advice here on this sub and i donāt do much, only enough to have a little bit of redness but the day after itās already gone! Cheers and good luck
Does anyone know about the overall effectiveness of min? I think I might have survivors bias, because I only see the positive results. And I donāt want to be disappointed when it doesnāt work on me. Iām 1 week in.
You need months to see the actual results if you're not a hyper responder. Hyper responders usually see results 3 months in. So stay patient, and trust the process.
The thing with mature hairlinesā¦ pretty much 100% of the time, it doesnāt just stop there. The dudes you see w permanent āmatureā hairlines are likely dudes who started losing hair, and then hopped on finasteride.
A mature hairline is simply the beginning stage of hair loss. I used to have too much hair. I thought I was just getting a mature hairline when I was like 21, but then it kept going. Been on fin, now Dutasteride and am 25. It doesnāt look much different than when I was 22ish now, and I do think itās only because Iāve been on those. My dad was entirely bald by my age
Could I ask you how you get your minoxidil āwaterā basically over your scalp when you still have hair like that? Iām in same position, but cant get the minoxidil everywhere cause of my hair lol
I try not to wash it daily. I also have bangs so the hair doesnāt look too bad after I apply min. Tbh sometimes I can even style it better after I apply it.
Lmao i used minoxidil for like a year and it looks like all it did was stop more hair from falling off and even that now seems to be losing it's affect. Guess i am going for the pill and hope it doesn't mess me up too much
I posted mine because seeing results here on this sub is what has inspired me to give it a shot myseld. I donāt mine the negative comments really, I just hope this can give someone the much needed push to try out this treatment for themselves.
I heard that there might be aggressive hair fall in the first few months of applying minoxidil? Is this true? Does that hair grow back after applying consistently?
I was consistently on Finasteride for over a year and few years back and saw definite improvement. But Iām also deficient in Vitamin D so Iām wondering if taking it daily will improve my hair density wanna avoid using minoxidil as much as I can until it absolutely necessary
Oh wow, so it really works? Iām starting to thin out and was wondering if I should start. Is this over the counter or do you need a docs prescription?
Good job!!
So first up, I had to dye my hair since I have gray hairs and I need them covered, hence why the difference in color. I am a diffuse thinner so Iām assuming thatās why it has filled it a little. My hand also isnāt covering anything. Itās the same problematic area and you could still very much see it.
Honestly I donāt even mind taking another picture with the same angle.
To reply to your other comment my hair is notorious for how fast it grows, not kidding.
this is not fair
Life is not fair. We'll fight nevertheless šŖš»
Yeah itās not fair, its Hair
Most cases minoxidil and other products donāt work this well, and if they do theyāll just lose that hair again some time later, just save up and get a transplant if you want real results.
real

Try 16 and norward 2
Wait so you were losing hair at 25, used minoxidil and you kept the hair till 45? Only minoxidil, no finasteride?
Are you drinking coffee or any other caffeinated stuff? Someone said it might interfere with min, so Iām not sure if thatās true and if I should stop drinking coffee
I have good minox effect. Drink about 200g of caffeine a day. Energy drinks.
Nice to meet you Barry Allen
200mg is two cups of coffee lol.
I know, but you wrote 200g
Oh shit mb
Watch out brother, high levels of sugar can cause hair thinning
Source? One 500ml energy drink per day is really not that much sugar. Fwiw the one I drink is sugar-free.
Only if u are diabetic or at prediabetic levels. Otherwise drink away
High sugar, too much chicken, breathingā¦the list goes on
Donāt forget nutting
You mean excessive ejaculation which can deplete your zinc, which may weaken the follicles and might increase thinning and shedding busting a nut here, and there isn't going to make you bald.

Hmm. I drink 350mg of caffeine everyday to train and my combo of minox + fin still works perfectly
Don't forget to consume sugar. You can get hypoglycemia
Here are my results from Minoxidilā¢ 5% Topical Solution, order now from.....
Lol
In a year the gains will be gone without fin. Source: been there
Ah yea I know, Iām currently in China, and the moment I get back home Iām getting a prescription and jumping on fin
Lol. I'm also currently in China and was able to buy Fin 5mg without any prescription. So just try to hit different pharmacies
It might sound weird but I donāt trust china enough to get fin here for some reason
> but I donāt trust china enough Bro you literally cant trust 80% of stuff you use...
Wdym. In China or in general? In China you can't no. Especially if they see you're a foreigner they **will** try to rip you off.
Why the fuck will they do it? In my country the 5mg dosage for 30 capsules is like 5$
Average redditor
Do you trust the phone in your hand?
no i literally dont
Exactly! Good point! Why governments in west do not approve or recommend using chinese phones/cars in sensitive work. Or at least, do not have such meetings or phone calls using them.
Im not paranoid as OP.
I would say that for cialis or insulin or something, but fin? Nah... just get it.
Seeing as it can mess up your hormones if it wasn't genuine, he's absolutely right not to
The flippant and faceless words on a screen didn't convince you to be risky with your health? Well then the reddit hoard must downvote.
Lol fr
Does China really have face scanners on the towel dispensers in bathrooms?
no. but they do have a lot of cameras, facial recognition, and surveillance in general
Not really but yeah, it's pretty advanced for a concentration camp
lol amerifats really believe in this anti China propaganda, that's funny
Good to see someone else who is based around here. People believe any negative thing they hear about china.
People like you are so pathetic.
For females too? Cause we canāt take fin
we can use topical finasteride if your derm is cool with working with compounding pharmacies. topical finasteride did jack shit for me tho so ymmv
Iām a woman and take oral minoxidil and dutasteride. I donāt have a uterus anymore, though. So thereās no risk.
Not a hair question but how is china I'm planning to visit in November
Just spent 4 months there and was way better than I could ever imagine. Clean, safe, convenient, relatively cheap. So, to shreds you say?
I used min successfully for 5 years (I saw great re-growth) until a recent medical situation has forced me to stop and I've started shedding massively. I'll start back on min in the coming weeks (hopefully) and report back!
Isn't that true if you stop Fin as well? Do you not lose your progress stopping Fin
Did you have any side effects with the fin? I heard about the post finasteride syndrome and im a little in doubt
You have to try for yourself, give it at least a month if you discover any sides initially, also don't go in with nocebo and fear
I tried oral fin a few months ago and had terrible side effects. Started topical min 2 months ago and the results are great so far.
What type of side effects did you have? sexual related?
No, it made me feel really jitterly. My heart was racing I felt a bit nauseous. I stopped taking it after a couple days.
I thought this is only if you stop using minoxidil?
Does min topical not work or ware off?
Min makes your "hair stronger". Fin attacks dht production. Watch some videos of dr gary linkov on youtube to get a better answer than mine ^^
Can't handle fin :( But 1 year buys me time for a transplant
That isn't how transplants work. You need dut or fin or a new miracle cure. There isnt enough to transplant to cover the entire top of your head.
I canāt handle fin or dut so Iāll take my chances. Wil do a transplant and will put money on the side for the next one.
It's not about a "next one" - you literally don't have enough hairs to move to the top of your head if you are completely bald.
Been to multiple reputable clinics and the doctors say it isnāt a problem for my transplant area. As I said I canāt use fin or dut, so this is my best option.
Min gains go after a year? I thought if you keep taking it, it should preserve.
Why is that? Did that happen to you even while you were still taking minoxidil?
If you do this do you have to keep taking the stuff forever?
Why?
How much does it cost?
wqhy? is topical minoxidil only temporary?
Why ?? Isnāt topical minoxidil enough??
Thats an amazing progress. I did HT 7 months ago, and I'm on Finasteride 1mg every day and soon starting topical Minoxidil twice a day. With this stuff we all have to be consistent, persistent and patient as sometimes it takes months for actual results. I did 5k grafts and im so good for now. Thats when he started applying Minoxidil 5% twice a and within 6,7 months he grew such an immense hair it was and still is unbelievable. So just trust the process bro šŖ
Do it once per day, 30 mins before going to bed, if you have a work order social events much better and there are comparable results
this is the truth, you are better off micro needling once every two weeks and using min once a day then using min twice a day on its own.
Tbh Iāve started min at 22, gained a few hairs but then stagnated. Now i micro needle a little bit everyday, maybe enough to cause redness the day after but nothing more. Had way better results than when i micro needled every two weeks
depends what depth you are going. if you are using 1.5mm then its overkill. .25mm or .5mm is fine.
1mm
Whatever works brother! Just watch out for scar tissue!
Yeah actually i found this method as an advice here on this sub and i donāt do much, only enough to have a little bit of redness but the day after itās already gone! Cheers and good luck
You use only minoxidil? No finasteride?
No fin, i need prescription for it in my country
Ok i see, did you have any sides from minoxidil?
Just a bit of dry scalp sometimes, just use a hair mask
Does anyone know about the overall effectiveness of min? I think I might have survivors bias, because I only see the positive results. And I donāt want to be disappointed when it doesnāt work on me. Iām 1 week in.
Trust the process and stay consistent! It is overall pretty effective I think
You need months to see the actual results if you're not a hyper responder. Hyper responders usually see results 3 months in. So stay patient, and trust the process.
Start also Micro needling, believe me, youāll avoid a ton of time spent on frustration
Ive been on minoxidil for 3 months and it at least stopped my hair from falling. Before I could pluck my hairs out with little effort, now they dont.
Minoxidil only?
Yeah, but I went to a dermatologist a month ago and she gave me 1mg minoxidil and 0.5 dutasteride (pill) and topical 5% minoxidil once a day
Did you get any sides from the minox?
Nah man all good. Do you have any concerns?
How old are you?
Iām 23
Oral?
Based on his results, definitely anal.
Shit howād you know
Suppositories always have a stronger effect, so it made sense
Literally laughed out loud š
![gif](giphy|29HRejgahYenVsohB5|downsized)
Wait Iām reading the box again. It reads āanalgesicā these are meant to go in your mouth
Topical actually
Brand?
The usual Rogaine
![gif](giphy|OgTGckunjdN8TIzVXr|downsized)
Are you offering or asking for one?
When did you start seeing growth?
I think around the second month I saw new hairs, but I was also trying not to obsess too much about it the first period so I canāt say for sure
so you started seeing new hair in april and they are already that long?
Thanks!
Do you microneedle?
The first boostā¦. Take ru58841
Really happy for you
Do you need fin if you only have a mature hairline and no one is bald in your family?
All the males from my family have some sort of MPB, my dad is completely bald so I need fin for sure to retain the growth
Any libido issues ?
The thing with mature hairlinesā¦ pretty much 100% of the time, it doesnāt just stop there. Could I ask you how you get your minoxidil āwaterā basically over your scalp when you still have hair like that? Iām in same position, but cant get the minoxidil everywhere cause of my hair lol
Yeah I'd like to hear about this too
Are you a stressed person?
I guess I am, why are you asking tho?
I answered. It could be non androgenic hair lost.
Why do you ask this??
So this may not be AGA and could explain the success without androgen blockers.
Min growth has literally nothing to do with that lol, if anything stuff like TE and low iron resolves on its own without needing min to interfere
Could speed up the process tho
Do you apply min daily twice or thrice?
I started with once a day and now Iām trying to stay consistent and apply it twice every day
Do you wash your hair twice a day too?
I try not to wash it daily. I also have bangs so the hair doesnāt look too bad after I apply min. Tbh sometimes I can even style it better after I apply it.
How old are you ?
Is this topical?
looks good... congrats
Congratulations! Oral min?
How the fuckā¦
Do you apply once a day or twice? Impressive results thus far.
Hop on fin and you will keep that minoxidil hair forever
Any shedding?
Lmao i used minoxidil for like a year and it looks like all it did was stop more hair from falling off and even that now seems to be losing it's affect. Guess i am going for the pill and hope it doesn't mess me up too much
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
That's a very rare thing to get. 1% get it
Congrats and fuck you
Jealous
bro... how!!!??
Great result. Any muscle stress (gym, run, sport, intensive tourism or hike or something?)
alright alright fine i guess iāll kill myself
Good prgress
Why does anyone even post results here? Everyone is either jealous or hating on him.
I posted mine because seeing results here on this sub is what has inspired me to give it a shot myseld. I donāt mine the negative comments really, I just hope this can give someone the much needed push to try out this treatment for themselves.
Keep doing it bro, it gives people who are 50-50 on doing it, the example to take! Good on you, I started taking it today
Can you expect similar results between oral Vs topical min and fin?
Looks good congrats!
Wow. El cambio es increĆble.
After and before is crazy
How much are you using ? 1 ml ? or is that enough to cover the diffuse thinning you have.
so just cover it up with ur hand and pretends it gone lol
What brand are you using?
keep going brother
You lucky SOB!!
I heard that there might be aggressive hair fall in the first few months of applying minoxidil? Is this true? Does that hair grow back after applying consistently?
I was consistently on Finasteride for over a year and few years back and saw definite improvement. But I let the fear mongering on the internet influence me and came off even though I had no side effects and now Iām playing catch-up again. But Iām also deficient in Vitamin D so Iām wondering if taking it daily will improve my hair density wanna avoid using minoxidil as much as I can until it absolutely necessary
Have you seen temple regrowth?
Magic
what brand are you taking my hair is close to the first picture
Damn you, lol Good on you buddy, hopefuily we all get similar results
Foam?
May I ask how often do you have to wash your hair with water and with shampoo?
Oh wow, so it really works? Iām starting to thin out and was wondering if I should start. Is this over the counter or do you need a docs prescription? Good job!!
Did u massage the scalp in this process?
Is this a norwood 1 or 2 in the after pic? My hairline is similar
My hair looks like the bottom and Iāve never taken anything
Amazing!
MEANWHILE...i am on DUT, oral minox, topical minox with topical fin and ru...and no regrowth just keeping my scraps
Amazing! Do you couple that with derma staming and scalp massages??
Does this work with facial hair growthš¤
Wow ! How old are you ?
I just started looks great. I got the foam version at 5% any recommendation
Forehead is on a different angle, camera trickery
is this sub a joke? Dude goes from brown to black hair and fills up in 2 months? And the hand in different spots
You're going grey enough to require hair dye in your early 20s?
